  • I made this video to help others out.
    If you have a shuttle shift then your tractor will not have a hydraulic fluid screw on filter on the side. Shuttle shifts only have the internal screen that needs pulled out and cleaned which is the same screen that’s displayed in this video as well. Besides that it’s the same thing for the rest of the service.

    I just had my new 474 delivered yesterday. Thanks for this video!

    5:20 There's also a vent plug at the top of each wheel axle that needs to be removed when draining and adding fluid back in. If not removed it will be hard to get all the fluid back in and at the proper level.

    Really good video, I appreciate you taking the time to explain the amounts of fluids needed. I was wondering how much to buy for the front axle.

    Where did you get the J20C recommendation, or is this a universal hydraulic oil? Thx

      @Tmaxparr313  Год назад

      I got it from my local rural king store. Yes J20C. don’t buy any yellow bucket stuff. Most mechanics recommend case IH or John Deere hydraulic fluid. Claim it’s significantly better.

    I would really appreciate a 50 hr review. I’m trying to decide between the 474 and 574. I was originally leaning toward a new JD 4 series can. But have now turned to TYM. I’m just concerned about the stability of the 474 vs the 574. Thanks

      I did do a 50hr review on this tractor. Go to my videos.

      Did you go with the TYM, I decide to trade my Kubota 3901 in for the T474 cab model with backhoe, its a work horse with 250 hours on it now.

    What engine oil did you use?

    • @Tmaxparr313
      @Tmaxparr313  Год назад

      15-40 valvoline my self but most any 15-40 oil will work.

    Can you share a list of the TYM filter # to aftermarket #?

      New part numbers edit.
      Filter numbers
      HST/Hydraulic: NAPA FIL 1586, Wix 51586, Donaldson P169078
      Oil filter: NAPA FIL 1626, Wix 51626
      Air filter: ST sa9269, wix546671
      Air filter Donaldson P772579 P827653 off eBay.
      Then that first fuel filter number is wrong above. I bought a kit off Amazon to change it over to a better filter system and cheaper as well.
      Part number below is straight off Amazon.

    Can you send me a better picture of the hydro fluid

    • @Tmaxparr313

      Just cams J20C adequate hydraulic fluid.
      I’ve been told John Deere and international harvester J20C is the best hydraulic fluid on the market though.

    You didn’t have to do the fuel filter at 50 hours

    • @Tmaxparr313
      @Tmaxparr313  Год назад

      No I didn’t. I’m almost to 150hrs now. Then I’ll change it along with oil and hydraulic filter only not the hydraulic fluid.

    You turned a sub 5 minute video into a 20 minute video, and still didn't say where to add the hydro fluid... if you did it wasn't around the time you were filling the hydro..

    • @Tmaxparr313
      @Tmaxparr313  Год назад

      It’s in the video. The hydro fluid goes into the 2 reservoirs under the seat. 5.25 quarts per reservoir.

      I thought this was a comment on my mower video.
      Hydraulic fluid goes into fill hole on back of tractor by 3pt hitch. (Yellow) plastic plug. Takes almost 10 gallons.
