I love mine, I also chose the shuttle shift, with cab. The combination I wanted was needed to be ordered, so I had many months to wait before getting it, so I had the SSQA pallet forks a while before I had anything to put them on.
Good video. I have the hystat version of the T474 and I'm really happy with it. These are great tractors. The engine in this was built in alliance with Kukje and Cummins. I did notice something on the video that I thought I'd mention. The lower radiator hose that you showed looks like it nees to be shortened at the radiator and adjusted forward more so it's not pushing back into the bolt on the front of the block. I'm going to check my tractor in the morning. You should never have hard contact with a radiator hose. It won't work long term. Again thanks for the great video.
i really like my trractor. It has done everything i have asked it to do so far. I will have to take a look at that hose. Thanks for noticing it and letting me know. Thanks for watching...
Thanks for the TYM Tractor overview!! Great Video! You get a grapple bucket, you won’t regret it. Really has nice features. Man, be watchful of the tilt steering wheel, especially if tilted back when you try to get in the seat! You can get “snagged”! Mrs. Kim probably like a cab on that. Cab only worth if you have AC. Don’t know if they make it for that type of tractor. Thanks for taking the time show us the TYM. Hope whoever you bought this from services them if something major happens.
Thank you for watching our videos. The tilt wheel sure will get you. They do make a cab version of this tractor but I never had a cab and it cost a bit more. The guy I bought it from is a dealer and he has a service shop in case anything bad happens. Thanks again for watching and for the comment.
Thanks for this video. I bought the TYM474 3 months ago and I love it. I knew ahead of time about the PTO button, but I never knew what the difference was when you set it on auto, so thank you for explaining that. One thing I wish our tractors had is a stop adjustment on the PTO lever so when you raise and lower the bush hog it goes right back to the same height instead of having to look down every single time. Is that a 5- or 6-foot bush hog you have on the back? Oh, and your right when you say lower rpms before you engage the PTO. I learned that the hard way 1st time I bush hogged I broke the shear bolt.
Hello. I really like mine. It took me a while to figure it out. I wish they had the stop adjustment too. I normally get my bushog level and never pick it up until I'm done. It is a 6 foot bushog. I have broken a few shear bolts too. I have been using grade 3 bolts but my farming neighbor told me to use a grade 5. It is a little more sturdy. I have sheared some going over fire ant mounds. Hope to see you on the next video.
That TYM 474 tractor you got sure looks like a hum-dinger. You got some realy nice gear selection and position :allways like gear drive tractors no hydro-slip-o-matics that howl & whine all the time. Like the loader lift leaver where it's at. That tilt steering wheel is a real luxury. Just wondering wher the fuel tank is? Is that kajuki engine turbine charged? Like that heavy duty brush guard. By the way when I got my kubota MX 5200 it sat in the driveway for 5 hours when they delivered it. Reason being I READ the owners manual compleatly. It answered about 40-50 questions right of the bat (I refer to it often). I have 2 other tractors a M-F 1736 and a M-F 1020. I would sugest to never use any thing but the manufactures filters except when ALL warrenties are used up. If you Ever need warrenty work you will need a record of having bought origional fillters and NEVER show up for service work with any thing but a TYM branded filters in place. This is the loop hole that All tractor manufactures void all warrenties. I allways buy my expensive (cheap insurance )filters a head of time. Thinking about buying a Branson tractor ( same company as TYM ). Happy tractoring.
I forgot to say where the fuel tank was. It is located behind the driver seat on the back of the tractor. I really like it there because if you over fill the tank it does not run down the hood like most tractors. It is a Kajuki engine. It has been great so far and the tractor has done everything I have wanted to do with it so far. I am like you. I want to use the right filters just to be on the safe side. My daddy always had M-F tractors and they are really good. M-F is the only tractor my neighbor uses on his farm. Thanks for watching and thanks for the advise and comments.
I have heard that if your running your throttle at higher settings it helps to keep the DPF cleared out. If not when the DPF filter starts plugging off it will Regen. But if your plowing or bush hogging at higher RPM's your doing it constantly. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure I have heard that several times.
I noticed the lower radiator hose that you were showing, where it was leaking, it is making contact with a bolt on the front of the engine.. I would cut a small amount of hose off so the hose will push on the radiator farther and make room so the hose does nor make contact with that bolt on the front of the engine.. This will eventually wear a hole in the hose.. Good video.. I am now putting together a deal to buy one with the loader and a hoe..
Hey, I did go back and see that. I will have to cut a little off. I have really enjoyed mine so far. The loader has been real handy. If I didn't need to use the 3 point hitch so much the back hoe would be good to have. I could use it sometimes. Thanks for the comment.
I really liked your ’walk-around’. Well done! I, too, am getting a 474, but with a cab. I’m in my 70’s, and have had enough of the heat & cold. I’m still wondering about the ‘shuttle-shift’ vs hydrostatic, I like features from both. What’s your feedback, after a couple of years?
Looking back I wish I had gotten a cab. Not just the heat but when it is really dusty it would be nice to be on the inside. I still like the shuttle- shift. I break land in the pasture once a year and just have never tried a hydrostatic. I'm sure it will probably do the job just as good. Just old habits I reckon. Let me know how you like the cab.
Well that is a good question. I went out and looked but if there is a way to change it I haven't figured it out yet. If I find a way to switch it I will let you know. Thanks again for watching.
This is the 1st video I found talking about the shuttle transmission. At ideal in forward/reverse does it move? New Holland I have run before with a hydraulic shuttle; you could treat the shuttle transmission as an auto transmission using the gas pedal.
Hello, Yes it does move if it is in forward or reverse. Mine has a clutch that has to be pushed in for it not to move unless the transmission is in neutral. I will do an update video soon and go over how that part works on mine. The gas pedal is only good for speeding up the engine but You have to manually change the gears. Thanks for the question.
Don't know if anyone else noticed that your lower radiati\or hose is chafing pretty hard on the mount with the oil fill cap. This might give you problems later on.
Yep. I am use to fahrenheit but I can't figure out how to switch it over. I may have to You Tube it ti find out. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
None so far. I'm about to get our garden ready and we will be using it a lot more this summer. I really like it and it has done everything I have wanted to do with it. Thanks for watching the video...
I’m surprised that you didn’t ask to see if the dealership had actual forks for that tractor with what you are currently using your going to destroy the bucket with that type of setup
We don't use the forks much but I do need to get the forks for the quick connect that attaches like the bucket does. If you put a lot of weight on the ones we have now it will bend the lip of the bucket. I do have some marks in the bucket from the bolts that hold it in place.
I love mine, I also chose the shuttle shift, with cab. The combination I wanted was needed to be ordered, so I had many months to wait before getting it, so I had the SSQA pallet forks a while before I had anything to put them on.

looking into buying first tractor thanks for the info very helpful
Glad it helped. We have been very pleased with the TYM. Thanks
I'm working on a deal right now with the same dealer, super nice people they are.
Yes they are!
Nice video, likely getting a cab version end of this year or next spring, seems like everyone has had good experiences with them.
Yep, I whish I had got the cab. So much dust and sometimes its a little cool in the mornings when I need to get an early start.
just purchased the cab version this weekend. Should be delivered soon so I can start practicing for snow plowing.
I think you will like it. I like the one we have but next time I think i will go with a cab version too.
I’m likely getting that cab version, how are you liking it Dubya?
A very elaborate presentation. Thanks
Thank you. Thanks for watching....

NAPA Gold 1626/Wix 51626 engine oil filter will fit perfectly.
Thanks. I will write that down so I wont forget.

That makes since. I do run the throttle a little higher to turn the PTO. Thanks for watching and for the comment.

Very interesting to learn about products that I'm not familiar with. Thanks for sharing.

Can the temp gauge reading be changed to Fahrenheit? Nice tractor.
Well that is a good question. I went out and looked but if there is a way to change it I haven't figured it out yet. If I find a way to switch it I will let you know. Thanks again for watching.

I went back and looked at it. I will have to keep an eye on that. I appreciate you letting me know...
I saw on startup that your parking brake light shows in the panel - but does it work when you set your brake?
Yes it does. It also has an audible alarm that comes on if you put it in forward or reverse.
Interesting that they didn’t install that on this year’s 747. Do you have a 4wd dashboard light? Btw great job on the video
I noticed in your video that your gauges are displayed in metric ( Celsius vs Fahrenheit ) just a heads up unless that's what you're accustom to.
Yep. I am use to fahrenheit but I can't figure out how to switch it over. I may have to You Tube it ti find out. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
It even sounds like a Cummins
How many hours do you or others have on this tractor?
I am not really sure but I think it is around 800 hrs. It has been a good tractor.
Just checking in. How do you like it?
I really like it. I will be planting winter rye soon and it does a good job.... Thanks
@@WorleyFamilyHomestead I just took possession of a cabbed t574 backhoe loader. So far seems quite nice. I have a lot to get used too.
Any issues with the TYM?
None so far. I'm about to get our garden ready and we will be using it a lot more this summer. I really like it and it has done everything I have wanted to do with it. Thanks for watching the video...
Do you still feel the same about your TYM?
Yes. Im still very pleased with it.
@@WorleyFamilyHomestead thanks!

People on the east coast say their O's weird
Ha Ha, Is there a word with O in particular that sounds funny?
