- Check out the new ARRMA Kraton 8s BLX 1/5 scale monster truggy! This thing is a beast. Not only is it the largest ARRMA, but it comes with all new SMART Technology electronics from Spektrum. It's running the Firma 160 amp ECX and Firma 4685 1250kv brushless motor. Lots to talk about and look at, so I'll let the video do the talking.

Really wish it was priced at $799 instead of $899. Parts availability and support would lean my toward and Xmaxx.
I think part support for this will be right up there with the X-maxx, but you are right...there is great part support for the X-maxx. Our stores carry a lot of traxxas and arrma parts.
@@CCxRC unfortunately even though I live in one of the biggest cities in the country. Our local hobbytown closed down. I have to go to other hobby shops you rarely have a good selection of Arrma parts. On the other hand. I have 3 authorized Traxxas dealers near me. I'm looking forward to other 8s arrmas. Was never a big fan of the Kraton. Was hoping for a big rock or something.

FYI.. M2C upgrades is a must for bashing and high jumps......and also you'll need the Hot Racing aluminum pillow ball caps..stock will not stay in.....they pop out too easy...
I went backwards and watched the live stream of the two rigs running before i watched this one. This looks like an excellent rig and Aarma really did a great job designing it to be super tough. It has such a squatted look to it and width makes me think this is going to handle really well. Great Video as always!!!
I actually released them backwards. I figured everyone else would lead with an unboxing, so I started with my first run...then the live and then this. :)
Hi Tony, Was thinking of getting a XRT for this summer's bash vehicle, but am now looking at this Kraton. Would you say this would be a good truck to jump and bash around with? Thank you, Tony, and wanted to also share I have really enjoyed your products for my SCX24 especially the servos and motors. Great stuff. Traxxas has certainly caused an 'Arrma Gett'n' :)

I am wondering though why they decided not to go for the square 18mm instead of the 24mm hex. I believe that the 18mm square drive is mostly used in 1/5 vehicles? That way you could easily use any 1/5 wheels without mods

@@CCxRC Well I am into details so what I like might not be the norm. I figure everyone has different terrain but the construction of the truck doesn't change so I like to learn as much as I can. I was looking at the exploded views on Arrma's site yesterday 🤣

I worry about the drive shafts seems small would of thought 6mm at the smallest. I guess if there's not much flex in the arm might not matter, time will tell

I don't have a Kraton 6s, but I know that Rich Duperbash has posted photos of the comparison. JayTee RC might do that as well. I think he has a Kraton 6s as well.

As I just bought a 6s Kraton I think I'm gonna wait and hold out hope for a outcast 8s. Its really nice but I don't see spending that much for a bigger truck I already got. Which is why if there outcast comes out which I imagine it will I'm sold! Very cool! Tony can you ask that guy from arrma tonight please??

I don't own a st or a 2wd truck so thought for that money it be great to add to my collection. It was originally 300$. Fiqured I'd give you a heads up just in case bro! 👊👌. It looks nice, especially at that price!
Why aluminum chassis? Maaaaan I wish it wasn't so. That would save a ton of weight, bc this thing is unnecessarily heavy.

I think they went with a Kraton because Kraton's sell. They already have name recognition and a loyal fanbase. I also think they went truggy, because it sets them apart.

They leave stuff out and then you have to go buy it yourself. My opinion. I'm assuming that an Outcast 1/5 8s is coming too. That would be more interesting TO ME. 😁
