- Seiko's newest release is the field GMT watches, SSK023 and SSK025. This release combines the looks of the legendary SNK80X series with the added functionality of a GMT (in a slightly larger case).
Hit or Miss? You decide!

Seiko is the only brand that makes us fork up $415 for an office GMT and a Hardlex crystal, because Seiko……..and we eat it up!!! 😂😂
Yeah but it’s not expensive to add a sapphire and look at how bad Rolex gouges their customers.😁😁
Just love ❤️ the 5KeXplorer.
Looks great. Maybe a tiny bit too busy for a field watch, but good for a GMT. As always, Seiko loves their hardlex, for some reason.
Unless we're talking G Shock I won't buy an everyday wear piece without sapphire. Ali Express $20 specials have sapphire.
Seiko is even more married to the hardlex crystal than Tudor is to the fake rivet bracelets
The jdm white dial caught my attention. But, I like it less as time goes by. I have 7.5 inch wrists and find 38mm with a thin case more comfortable. I'll just wear 2 watches during my flights.
Is seiko the only company still doing mineral glass crystals?
Why can’t they do sapphire like everyone else?
They can. But when has Seiko ever released anything based on what the consumer wants? I love Seiko, and so does Marc, but check out his own company if you want to see a raging river of great stuff constantly being made in direct response to customer feedback.
I would buy the watch if it had a sapphire crystal. I hate Hardlex.
I was sold until I heard Hardlex. 😢
@@AP-op4rcthat really doesnt speak for seiko😂 and „they can“ ? But? They wont, because Hardlex is more exclusive and works better for seiko than scratchfree Saphire? Come on man you lying to yourself🤣
@@MadeMenClan Are you out of your mind? What about my statement told you anything about me thinking Seiko believing Hardlex to be superior to sapphire? I’m sure they have their reasons for using it, was the point, and it’s got nothing to do with the general preference of the customer. You should work on reading comprehension.
As usual, their dials look really well laid out to my eye, in line and proportion. But why oh why can they not do a screw down crown? It would increase perceived value by a ton!
Hit for sure. And come on Japan! Give us the white dial!
Looks great
Hit
How much would it be to add sapphire to it?
Definitely hits !
A sapphire crystal away from being 🔥
I have to get one from Japan to get the white dial
I was looking forward to getting the white dial one 😔, but apparently, we don't have any of them this said of the ocean. And even many JDM websites are out of stock
Todo lo que hace Seiko lo hace bien, yo a Seiko le perdono todo 👍
Total hit, especially the white dial version
I just watched your prior video again. I like the white dial version of this watch, but I think I would take the isl-215 over that.
@@takethecurseOFFwashingmachine Can’t fault you for that. The 215 is a beauty.
I never saw the white dial
@@chums101sbsc009 is the white dial. I think it might be JDM only
That's a lot of numbers on that watch
HIT!!!
When I was paying £65 for a Seiko they could argue that "Hardlex" (or as I think of it "softlex") was necessary but at current prices no Sapphire no sale
@philspencelayh5464
I'm sure Seiko won't suffer for the lack of your business 🤣
Miss
Definitely a hit
The faux lume numbers is hilarious.
Until they go to saphire, no thanks!
Ive never liked GMT watches.
I agree absolutely. No-date, pure time watches are my favorites 👍
Sounds like a personal problem
@@gerry9306 Yes...
That is the reason why I said "I've never liked GMT watches"
@@EnriquetheSquirrel Henry, we probably don't need to know about your personal issues. Please respect your own privacy.
@@gerry9306 I hate dealing with people on the spectrum.
Should look at the presage gmt😂
Has the obligatory “Cheaplex” crystal which makes it a loser. So many great microbrands with better specs and same movement.
Yeah. I'd still take the real thing
I was sold until I heard the word Hardlex. Pass.
Este Seiko está carísimo!
It’s a miss for me
greeders..they use all the time the same-hands and all..
Hit. 100% hit. Critical hit.
Nice, overpriced.
Too busy, no identity on its own, this piece is a Frankenstein mess.
