The one thing I would warn against is the little detail people forget …. Given that 99.9% of reaching customers and followers requires “paid” advertising, people really should be focused on making sure page likes are not just made up of people wanting to be entertained rather than likely to buy. These days it costs a great deal of money to reach even a small number of pages “own followers” so anyone looking to grow likes should be mindful of this

I started 2 ads yesterday paying just 1 or 2 cents per like and in one day, I have 650 followers, and it's still going. I have spent $9 so far. The rate I'm going, I'll get 10,000 followers in about 10 days.

Ben, I wanted to thank you for the advice. I set up two ads yesterday morning, and I have 650 followers at about $0.02 a follower, and it's still going. I could get to 10,000 followers in 10 days. Then, I guess I'll move the Page to a Group. My page is for Digital Art, and I link to T-shirts on Etsy.

@@seanybyne1982 No, most of US was too expensive per like. I found countries that had lower rates per like. India was one. I later added some cities in the US, midwest and some west.
What settings u recommend for that 0.02 is great

From personal experience, lead generation works very well for high ticket deals. Get their contact numbers and try to close them on a call.

what about a worldwide campaign like you suggested but the creative and media are not in English, so it is still relevant to do so this way?
If my page is all about promoting for example me as a coach or instructor of a sport, and it has no value if the people are not from my own city or at least nearby, should I target a specific region?

Hi Ben - wouldnt targeting Asian and African countries for page likes with a (like campaign) mess up the algo when creating an Ad campaign locally later on?

Hi Ben, I have a question. My target location is Newcastle upon tyne, UK. When I worldwide for followers and create audience somewhere in the future out of people who visited or engaged with my facebook page. Do you think the algorithm will take into account of the people who liked my facebook page from other countries and target accordingly. If so, don't you think that's poor targeting ?

Ben do you think it’s more profitable for construction businesses to use fb ads or google ads, specifically for ones in nyc?
I suppose this is down to WHAT kind of construction your in, for instance if this you do basement conversions in residential properties then a hybrid mix of both works.... remember that people search on Google for Ideas so having your organic strategy nailed is 100% a given, paid ad's on Google support that, additional to your paid activities I would ad in RUclips video ads of your work and edited consumer testimonials (works a treat) and YT CPC is by far the cheapest place to serve you video ads''. Then bring in paid social for both lead gen and then re-marketing - that little strategy is GOLD and will give you a healthy level of enquiries - its then over to you to qoute pitch and close...

Hi Ben, Great video. I've come across a problem though. When I put in worldwide it says i'm not allowed that as a location criteria. The interface looks slightly different from this tutorial so things may have changed. Is this something with the updated meta ad suite or is it a bug do you think?

Some accounts are able to use it and some are not - don't know why. I'd try leaving it blank - or entering in the continents instead.
@@BenHeath Thanks for the reply Ben. :) I did manage to get it to work in the end. Not sure what I did, I think I pressed a link that was a help option. It then took me to the interface that I was familiar with from your tutorial. Everything from there seemed to work fine after that. I think maybe my problem was I'd not set up my account to be able to run ads. :)

You can do. It's what I call Priming your Page and does help. It isn't necessary though.

Yes you can - you just need to be aware that these people aren’t your customers - they are there to give your page more credibility

But I think if we can get people who already know like in trust us to follow our page I think these are some really good options because let’s say you have 40,000 people who like your page we are all in your demographic that you want to target I think this is a game changer it’s almost like SCO you spend the money once and don’t have to spend it again
This works, but why the "Post Likes" doesn't work? I do the same steps, I just select likes for certain posts. In ads manager, it shoes I get a TON of "engagement", but not a single like! Am I the only one experiencing this?

Here is my problem with this, and prove me wrong. I understand that this is not for organic reach, it's completely for vanity, credibility, etc. The problem is, we are now using lookalike audiences that are based on people who engaged with our PAGE. This is something you recommended Ben. And in fact, these audiences work really great. So if I start a campaign like this, with no targeting, there will be a lot of irrelevant people engage with my page, and that will mess up my lookalike audiences.
I actually have to deal with this problem now. I can't use lookalike audience with people who like my page, because these people are actually really bad followers..
Hello! There are some valuable potential followers that will never follow a page with only 32 followers. What Ben said is that with a wide audience, you can build a couple of 1000 followers at a very low cost, just for the credibility of it. Then it will be much more easier to spend to get detailed-targeted audience. That is what I got from this video and i subscribe to the idea.
@@supermanreviews2725 There are many "potential" people who will never follow the page for a thousand other reasons. But you can still build a following, so it's irrelevant why SOME people won't follow the page. I'm convinced now that running campaigns with the "follow" objective is a huge waste of money.
@@iamwhoiam506 I followed this advice and although I love what Ben shares.. this one has ruined my page. I'm actually now trying to remove the worldwide followers to try and get only good people on my page. Retargeting is a mess, and so is the engagement.

@@arpitshrmah I stopped the ad at 2100 followers and still post 2 times a day. They get 3-15 interactions and 1-2 comments each depending on the picture and hashtags used.

That's a good question but we haven't run into issues. I think Meta treats your page followers quite differently to who should see your ads.
I've just seen another one of your short videos that says that engagement is worse than sales/leads for ads and will ruin your metrics. Can you shed some light on this? Thanks
Sure, it depends what you are looking to do. If you want leads go for leads, if you want sales go for sales. If you want to build a presence on the platform then use this option. (I think building a presence initially helps everything else over the long run.)
