Thanks for the slice of home in these videos. I love watching them while I’m stuck offshore working. Been slaying the sheepshead during my two weeks home. I personally don’t like keeping small ones. The ones in 30’+ of water are usually tanks so I almost always fish them deep. When you’re filleting a big one, the filets become quite substantial and helps you make it to next snapper season. Thanks again.

That was a great video 👍👍!!! Loved the tip about tying a weak knot to your sinker so it breaks first. Tips like that are what makes your channel so great. Fished for sheep with a guide once n all he'd tie was a Carolina rig. By the time you'd feel the bite the bait was gone wish soooooo bad he'd rigged us up like you were with the jig or dropshot.

When I was growing fishing the jetties near Fernandina Beach Florida for Sheep Head we would do to jetties in our smaller 14 foot aluminum boat that we fished in fresh water rivers mostly. Reason being is we could take cheap rope tied to regular house bricks. We would toss up into rocks and get close enough to fish with large cane poles pitching up into water in rocks with fiddler crabs. Absolutely killed them this way and you talk about fun fighting experience when you get the bigger ones on. Wowwww. Unspeakably awesome. What memories.

I really appreciate when you provide information about different types of fish and details about what it takes to catch them. I was born and raised here in Louisiana but haven’t done much fishing since I was really young and most of that was with a cane pole .(please don’t laugh) I also love the videos when you take your moma I have two grown sons and we are also very close. For bass I always like the hook faced up on a drop shot. Does it not matter with salt water fish? If you take your tag end and run it through the front eye of the hook it always turns you hook up. Enjoying your videos as I’m dreaming of being back at Fort Morgan this summer.

I fish a kayak that handles good in ruff water and looking to come do some sheepshead fishing soon. Are there good jetties accessable on a kayak? I know you don't want to give away secret hot spots, but I'd love to know where that is so I could paddle out to it.
