    In Australia we call those shrimps, Yabbies, and use a yabbie pump, like you used, to capture them. Some fishermen use a sieve floating in the water topumpt the sand into, to catch the yabbies. Yes, great bait here too,

    Would a co-polymer line be a good line to use when there is a concern about line abrasion? Co-polymer line as I understand it offers lower stretch than momo but good abrasion resistance. Just curious?

    That sheepshead on the half shell looks GOOD! Gotta try some of that Dragos sauce. I agree that if you have really good fresh fish you don't want to overpower it with to much seasoning. Solid vid, keep up the good work!

    Man i just started fishing and im addicted . Problem is, i dont know much about swivels, and all that other stuff u talk about. It sounds like Chinese to me. I try to keep up . Having a hard time

    We call them nippers here in Australia get a small blown up inner tube and insert a 2 foot sieve. drag it behind you and pump straight into it love your vids

    Duck season aint over yet and we’ve had a good number of birds this year, if you have morning go set up a few decoys and go get a blue bill or couple of red heads, lots around

    Do they get any big sharks around that Deerfield beach off that pier? Do you have to paid to go on that pier? how many pole can you fish with out there 1 or 2 poles? I watch that live cam out on the pier I never see any get some thing big out there. I fish in CALIFORNIA only I go for is the lingcod out here I cought a 14 pounder and a 26 pounder those are my to big one's Go to my videos look for my fishing store I shop at,

    Damn Bro. It’s gorgeous down there. You sure got the life. Living up north, I’ve only been able to fish for sheepshead a few times, but when I did, it was a lot of fun. And I usually don’t keep a lot of fish. I’m more of a catch and release guy, simply cause I’m too tired when I get home, but when legal, I certainly will keep a couple of sheepshead because they are absolutely delicious. Keep up the great work Brutha. Another great episode.

    the Video was great fun to watch BUT the sheep heads looked like so much fun to catch. Thanks for being so nice to your Mom. My Mother is gone now but she would never have gone fishing. One time I remember a ring neck pheasant rooster was in our yard ( very rural farm land) She wanted him for dinner and she shot him then she cried and cried because he had been so pretty. ladies!!!! rick in Pa.

    Don’t pin h them in half! Keep them alive and bait from tail end with point coming at belly making sure you don’t kill them in the process…

    I love the Catch, Clean, and Cook videos. I never miss one. Why are my fish always smaller than yours? ha ha. Several years ago we had a local restaurant that offered grilled shark steaks cooked on an open grill. They were so good. Do you ever grill Shark Steaks? Can you keep the smaller Sharks? Keep up the great videos.

      Thank you! They're tough to film but very rewarding to eat and enjoy fresh fish. I love fresh Shark They have very nice meat when prepared properly. I do plan on catching more sharks on film ! Alabama just has some weird shark fishing stigmas sometimes, but I definitely plan on doing some. Thanks for watching and commenting !

    Pull one of the back legs off and insert hook there and out by legs on other side.. hide's the hook,, just another way that I've had pretty good luck with...

    That sheepshead look tasty. I like to start mine meat side down on the grill for just a minute or so to give it a bit more char-grill flavor. Nice vids

    I never had any luck with my ghost shrimp pump. Saw someone with one and bought it not knowing what I was doing. This was very helpful
    But he also did it in the bay in the sand in random spots then spit it back out and sifted through it

    Also you need to pump deeper than that. Give it 3-5 pumps at least. Also works best on more shallow water if you find them..

      I usually do in the surf zone, I was getting stopped early by the clay and mud layer in the bay

    We use 30 lb J braid with a 20 lb flouro leader in clearwater, or 30 or 40 in darker water. 3/0 live bait hook is the real tip, big hook gets behind the teeth.

      Spring fishing is one of the best times of years! Expect to hook into almost anything in the spring depending on how quick our waters it 70

    That is a yabby mate. We use the in Australia all the time specially for brim an whiting. I did not know they also lived outside of Australia. You should get a sieve and just dump your pump straight into it, that way you will not miss them. Alvey (same company you have your pump from) also sells plastic sieves.

    It's kind of funny where I fish freshwater drum are called Sheepshead. A lot of Walleye anglers hate them & call them farm animals. But, in late May I have said you could fill up a small pickup truck with them. Some get very large! I just release them.

    You might try a small mustad X3 treble hook? I bet your hook up increases. Even a "flounder" treble if there even made anymore. Hard to find. 2 prongs very close together on a treble.

      I used to use trebles a lot ! But I have switched over to hooks less "intrusive" per se to most species (except mackerel)

    Love your video! I would like to recommend that you get a charcoal chimney to start your charcoal rather than the match light charcoal. Then you won't have the lighter fluid taste on your food. That fish just looks wonderful.

      Thanks! Yeah sometimes you just gotta offer them something different I believe. And the hook size on this particular Bird of Prey Jig was a #1 Octopus Hook..
