Can we all take a moment to appreciate how wound up Jacob gets by each one of these episodes? I mean, we all knew he would react this way when they decided to start this show, but he pays off so passionately every. single. time. And I am 100% here for it. You go, Jacob.
Oh, a fun fact/detail about the band's room numbers that recently occurred to me: Nana's new apartment: 502 (cross total 7) Nobu's new apartment: 602 (cross total 8 - hachi in Japanese) Yuri's apartment: 503 (also cross total 8) Myu's apartment: 601 (cross total 7) I think that might be a fun little nod to Nana's old apartment number and maybe the supposed purport(?) or connection of some characters ^^
🤣 the scene with Nana and Reira kills me! If you think about it, if they'd become best buddies earlier on they both very well could've worked together to separate Takumi and Hachi. That would've been in both their interests. 😅 But I'm not mad about the Reira x Shin situation. Yes, the age gap is madly crazy right now and really concerning to say the least! But with each passing year it will get less relevant. And aside from this age gap I think they both handle their relationship surprisingly well.
I was used to vhs and cassettes. With my sister we would borrow\share a lot (and more talking to people pre internet). I believe many people have warm memories of 90s and early 00s. Also all games were made for you to have fun (i had less games than now, but was always excited for every new one), better movies (maybe up to 2010-12), even better alt\metal clips that were cool back in days, end of tv era and better instruments (father is still using some ussr instruments, they are unbreakable).
Somewhere I still have a cassette single of "The Race" by Yello. Singles were cheap, and better quality than taping the song off the radio but that's about it.
I really want them to read the rest of the manga NANA after they are done watching the anime...

I first watched Nana when I was like 16 yo and thought Shin and Reira where so cute. I rewatched it 10 years later and holy shit help! Police!
