Wow, that stirred the emotions more than I expected. A fantastic arrangement with some excellent choristers and the perfect space to make the most of the voices. ❤️
I love this new setting by Lucy Walker, Away in a Manger is always very special for me. The 3rd verse was my 1st ever solo as a 6 year old chorister. I'm now too old, and my treble voice has evaporated
Fantastic! I used to sing in chorales/choirs about 50years ago. It's amazing how good they've become and how their popularity is growing. I'm a huge fan currently of Voces8. Keep it up, Anna.
Join one again! There's loads of choirs around now, of varying quality and styles of course. They're always looking for new voices especially if you happen to be male. Great way of meeting people, too!
You are such a powerful choir and thanks for coming to Zambia again today 7th September ann lapword and the Pembroke choir of Cambridge it's always an honour interacting with you guys I always learn a lot from you your humility and Greta works thru the power of God is amazing.may God bless you all.
Great! Variation ! Christmas is a horrible season when the songs are sung exactly like 1000 years ago. As a piano and organ player and singer I'm utterly bored with Christmas. But this is great...
You've trained a remarkable cadre of song bearers of the Spirit. The dedication each of them invests in their art shines through brilliantly. I pray a cherished Christmas finds the entire chapel choir, and I wish them all a most cheerful "gaudete."
Basically you have the greatest job ever and I’m so jealous and proud of you for achieving it. You get to play a giant complicated musical instrument called the organ (i’m extremely envious of you for that) and you arrange music and teach music and it sounds just fun. I enjoy doing all the things you do but I can’t read music and my tiny yet surprisingly heavy Hammond organ is kind of broken but still fun to play.
How beautiful to see and hear young people singing thus, it gives hope. My tears drip and I want to clap every time I hear this, my favourite carol from my church choir days in the 50's. Magnificent. Just have to add how perfect the treble singer is.
Good job. Reminds me a bit of the Aeolians of Oakwood under the direction of Max Ferdinand some years ago when they were arguably the top choir in the world. It will take some doing to reach that level.
AMEN! It is all about knowing Jesus personally as Lord and Saviour and obeying Him every day. He is the only way to heaven. I’m glad you know Him, Robert!
Beautiful but I'm suspicious. I love you Lord Jesus - is that the confession of each in the choir? I don't know what the lady with the bare shoulder wants to tell me. Love to Jesus includes a holy lifestyle according to Biblical standards who are way higher than religious standards. I would appreciate the choir way more if I'm more sure of their commitment to Jesus Christ.
Rather churlish comment - casting aspersions on the integrity and spirituality of the whole choir merely because one of them has bare shoulders?? Love to Jesus includes not judging others lest you yourself be judged.
She wants to tell you nothing, because she doesn't know you. She probably wants to look extra pretty and chose this dress therefore, maybe it's her only black, nice dress, maybe it's not. Who cares? She smiles! She enjoys singing! Never judge a book by its cover, in this case a very beautiful cover. Besides, I'm a woman.
Wow, that stirred the emotions more than I expected. A fantastic arrangement with some excellent choristers and the perfect space to make the most of the voices. ❤️
Incredible. Thank you Ms. Lapwood for pouring your life into the next generation. I hope they realize how incredibly fortunate they are to have you.
Wonderful. Congratulations to all the singers for an outstanding performance ❤
Truly wonderful, thank you all for this most beautiful rendition. It has certainly brought some Christmas joy into my world
What a beautiful arrangement by Ms Walker. Thanks for sharing the performance; what a talented group of choristers you have, Ms Lapwood.
That was beautiful! Never heard a version of Away in a Manger quite like that before!
Glorious. I love how Lucy's arrangement of this carol moves from darkness to hope and light. Thank you, Anna, and the beautiful voices of the choir.
Hauntingly beautiful. Congratulations, everyone.
This couldn't have come at a better time for me.
Thank you, Anna for these...
Absolutely beautiful! I think Vaughan Williams and Holst would be very pleased with this arrangement.
A beautiful arrangement performed wonderfully.
Beautiful music sung by angelic voices. And all those happy faces! The girl at 0:10 looks as if a Botticelli painting had come to life.
Wondeful voices. Listening to this in April, but any season, any day is great for listening to songs about Christ's birth.

That’s the first time a Christmas Carol brought a tear to my eye. Superbly presented!
Thank you all very much. Merry Christmas.

This is a great performance. I enjoyed listening to it.
Ah... Did you listen to Warlock? It resembles chords he used.
I love this version.... Thanks for composing recording and uploading.

...imagine hearing this live, been in their presence. Unreal
Thank you. Pembroke choir, you are awesome.

I think she teaches really well - these singers almost know it by heart. Beautiful in every way!
Simply spectacular!
