Ring The Peak | Part 2 with Sarah Rawley

- Picking up where we left off in last week's episode, Sarah Rawley and I eat sandwiches that bring us back to life, and then descend jank in the fog back to Manitou Springs to finish Sara's version of the classic "Ring The Peak" route for Summer Solstice. When the dust settled, this route took roughly 9 hours over 50 miles with 7k up and 9k down. If adventure calls to you, give this one a rip. The official 68 mile loop will be rideable again in 2026 apparently, so go get weird in the meantime. It is worth mentioning that Sarah Rawley is a boss so proceed with caution.

this is epic!!
Jealous of the composure and grace you both showed in your riding at the end. After 30 miles or 4000 ft, whichever comes first, I start doing stupid shit and enter survival mode. Thx for the vid!
Hanging on by a thread, haha.
This is your best video, Nate. Thank you!
Looks like a cool epic route! “Dang jeepsrers…35 on the Dot!” Sheep, bear, pacelining and your “jank warfare, oh gawd, hoh! Big schtik Yeahh and Holly Krap!” Classic Nate Hills ad libs! And Sarah leading…Such great vids. Love it man…👍😎
Thanks for watching!
Some very cool adventure riding for these videos. Rear tires putting in work
Excellent angles I can see how steep that is no joke definitely not child’s play. Great footage thanks for sharing. Really loved this one.
One hell of a wild ride! You both did amazing job out there! One things for sure about Colorado, no matter when you ride or hike the upper mountains you will find snow! Haha!😎🍺
I have been snowed on in the alpine every month of the year. Never leave the jacket at home, haha
@@natehills9388 you got that right! My short time living in Longmont taught me the very same thing! I have seen the craziest weather conditions! Haha! You both have a great weekend!
damn! Finally got to watch all of this. I think you summed it up perfectly with "man, what a track". So cool. Can't wait to ride this sometime.
A proper adventure ride, nice work to you both 👏👏
Nice man, long trek but looked fun.🤘
That was insane guys! I can't imagine riding that long on those trails. Sarah is just a beast, I would have ended up in that river for sure, lol.
That's a hell of a route Mr. I'm going simple...hitting Section 16 tomorrow. Get rowdy!
That off camber section by the river was intense. Dabs accepted! Great video. I think I was clenching mybutt cheeks.
One mistake would have definitely ended in a cold shower.
Hello Nate, Long time since being home here in PHX. MTB'n Hawes and So Mtn in 106F is brutal! Would like being up in your neck of the woods. Blue skies, brother!
Yeti Betis rip!
Superb vid. Really enjoyed these. Some superb looking trails. Would love to ride them but the drive from the UK is not possible 😂. Thanks for sharing and great riding as well 👍😎
Awesome video, you guys! Thanx for sharing and taking us on a ride.
Our pleasure!
Epic ride! Wow!
Type 2 bliss.
I use the same water filter! Love that thing.
Definitely a good tool for the longer ones with water sources.
Smokey City Mine... the little piece of PNW in the Springs. It's what I imagine riding the Moon of Endor would be like.
I really enjoyed the two videos. Awesome riding by both of you.
Awesome, thank you!
I've ridden smokey city before. Probably the only one that season too. Go pro effect in full force. Jank, Loose, Steep.
One mistake and you are in the river.
Extremely NICE Freeriday
Smokey City!! GoPro doesn't do it justice. Crazy Steep, I try to hit it a few times a year. Never been able to clean it. I need to get up there soon!
An amazing section of trail for sure!
That had to be the greatest post ride beer of all time after all that
I can still taste it.
Sarah's bike control 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Sarah is dialed.
At 4:29, for a few frames you can see how off-camber that section is: your tire only has dirt on half of it! All that loose stuff was gnarly, especially the dirt surfing on Pipeline. How many GoPro batteries did you go through?
I used 2 gimbal batteries for this one.
Amazing riding! You are some masochistic and fit riders.
How are you to top that adventure?
A proper day out for sure!
Any reason you didn't continue into Jones but instead chose Pipeline? Just a slightly more technical trail?
We rode Jones a week prior and wanted to mix it up. Both are sweet.
Nice! Did you say she was riding a XC Bike? NUTS!,
We are riding our 120 bikes.
