You’re absolutely right about staying active, that is the key. I just turned 60 and have over 2300 miles on my mtb so far this year. You’re an inspiration to me Brian! Ride on! 👍
Absolutely epic! Been watching you for years and recently had to make a huge life change and exit a very toxic relationship. Turned to mountain biking as my escape, was lucky to get a couple hundred miles a year before and now I'm hitting 100 a month. Thanks for the inspiration Brian.
Watching this video makes me glad I have an emtb and a gym membership! Unless biking is the ONLY thing you do to stay in shape, doing this on an analog bike is just insane... Much respect! Epic ride. Thanks
Great video! Colorado is so beautiful this time of year! "Bit off more than I could shred" is so good, I'll definitely be using that in the future if you don't mind 😅
I have never been in USA or Canada but watching many videos from there. In my opinion, Colorado trails look best of all, it's very beautiful place especially in autumn. Hope one day I'll taste them personally 😋
The Forest Service did a bunch of work on the road up to Celebration so it was in the best shape I've ever seen it. This is one of my absolute favorite sections of the Colorado Trail. The descent from Blackhawk pass is hard to beat and so glad you got to finish on Stagecoach (West Cross Creek).
Beautiful ride. This is a " True " mountain bike ride, how they were first intended. While I have ridden St. George, Moab and such, still my favorite rides are like this one. Up in the mountains, remote and stunning scenery. Again, it's the remoteness of these rides that makes them so unique. Having been a flight nurse for 18 years, the remote locations lend to the risk involved in this type of ride. Awesome video Brian....
My 89-year-old mother grew up around Ouray. I showed her your opening shots of the area and the leaves. She hasn't been back there in decades. She actually teared up remembering how gorgeous it is in that area. Thank you for sharing! 😊
What an amazing trail & such awesome views! Thanks for taking us along with you. I discovered cheap diapers are great for drying out shoes and you can keep reusing. I still using some from 14 years ago
GOSH...look at all this beautiful Impressions of Mother Nature. Stunning, Breath taking...Mind blowing all these Colors of the Fall. And there's already light Snow Ground. My Bike was looking exactly same muddy as yours. On the Way home I came across the Industry Park and stopped at a do it yourself Car Wash with Pressure Power Washers. After I got my Bike Mudd free it felt like having 8Ibs less of Weight. Thx for the Video & happy Weekend from southwest Germany 💯👍🙋♂
Looks amazing! I can't wait to move to Colorado next summer. Your videos have inspired me to go out and ride more, this summer was my first trip to Whistler and first (two) rides at Soquel demo forest.
1) GORGEOUS terrain. 2) You can keep that mud. 3) That is Squatch country. 4) Nature is beautiful because it takes us to our primordial beginnings. We are descendants of nature, so we're inclined to sense an invocation of our heritage and birthright. 🙂 5) Thank you for taking on another ful-filled adventure.
Brian, Sawadee krap from Bangkok. WOW, how spectacular!! God's country for sure. Thank you for sharing his incredible ride! Ride that E Bike regarding altitudes above 5000 ft. Blue skies...
I need to change to atleast 2k so the bushes on ur video dont keep falling apart the pixels.. well this is very great video as always Brian !! Thanks for the experience..
I've been wanting to ride through mud like that so I can see how my tires do, how thedrivetrain keeps up, techy stuffy know, I love it, shows you're putting it through some shit
Have you looked into a DC to DC charger? That'll keep the batteries topped off from the alternator when the engine is running. Then it won't draw power from the starter battery when the vehicle isn't actively being charged by the alternator.
I have ridden about 5 hrs of the Colorado Trail and understand the high altitude effect. Sapping to say the least! Love Carvers Brewing food and beers. Am I allowed to ask where your wife is on this trip?
BTW: "This drive:" Million Dollar Highway, between Ouray and Silverton, Co. We took the dual sport bikes there a couple years back and hit the jeep passes: Engineer, Black Bear, etc. If you have a 4X4, or side by side or dual sport....spend some time here and get into the back country.
It worked out well! I always have a Trailforks / Strava link in the description if you're curious about the specifics: www.trailforks.com/ridelog/view/45249573/
I was wondering why you wouldnt string a cable with a switch from the vans engine to charge the batteries. I wonder if that would be a good emergency backup for the solar. That way if it happens again when you are waaaay out of the way then you an just flip a switch and burn some diesel to get by.
You are correct. In fact I have almost the same set up and all you have to do is hook jumper cables from the engine battery to the Battle Born battery and it will start charging normally again. No need for a slow trickle charger.
The way I zero down a muddy trail ride is by it's grade and how downhill it is, if there's puddles, I stear clear, but if the rain has good runoff ability then I'll still ride it, it's ok to ride in rain and also if it's a low popularity trail way out in the middle of the forest then meh it'll be ok, I still do my part though and avoid highly saturated spots

I don't know how people keep falling for those scams. I guess I've been looking at them since the 90s so I can see it better maybe? Idk. 🤦🤦
Just wondering why didn’t you have a mudguard for a ride like that, and why did you decide to brink your ripmo Instead of your oso
@@kodi.hartMTB I wonder why all youtubers don't run the largest mudguard they can find. Seems sort of integral to the job.
Thank you Sir! Class act.
@@kodi.hartMTB because ebikes aren’t allowed on any of the trails he rode in this vid except for the double track climb.
You’re absolutely right about staying active, that is the key. I just turned 60 and have over 2300 miles on my mtb so far this year. You’re an inspiration to me Brian! Ride on! 👍
That's what it's all about!! Keep moving.
100% especially being a new dad, can't have a dad bod anymore
Wowwww that drive looks absolutely epic, you caught it just right!
Most definitely!! I was amazed.
Absolutely epic! Been watching you for years and recently had to make a huge life change and exit a very toxic relationship. Turned to mountain biking as my escape, was lucky to get a couple hundred miles a year before and now I'm hitting 100 a month. Thanks for the inspiration Brian.
That is the best! KEEP IT UP!
This one was a beautiful beast. Great job and amazing mountain shots etc...👍 Your guardian Angel is getting plenty of work hangin around you dude.
Watching this video makes me glad I have an emtb and a gym membership! Unless biking is the ONLY thing you do to stay in shape, doing this on an analog bike is just insane... Much respect! Epic ride. Thanks
Amen to that one!! It's a big ride
Wow. When you say, 'this is why we do it' and ' if this isn't the dream'. Spot on, man. Killer ride!! Freakin love it.
It was so, so good!
Great video! Colorado is so beautiful this time of year! "Bit off more than I could shred" is so good, I'll definitely be using that in the future if you don't mind 😅

This looks so fun. I'm just getting back into bicycling and starting light trails. Thanks for bringing us the joy and beauty of this sport.
Beautiful! Not much better than ripping through the aspen groves on fine single track during peak colors! Thanks for sharing! 😎🍻
Colorado resident here, thank you for sharing!
Wow you showed some awesome scenery Brian and the riding wasn't to shabby either. Great work.
This stuff is dream-worthy. Some of the most incredible footage you've gotten, my friend. Wow.
It was an adventure!

Most definitely! This is everything mountain biking should be, tough climbs, danger and plenty of fun!

Welcome to our neck of the woods! True mountain biking, Blackhawk is definitely one of the classics.

Epic ride. Fall, while it doesn’t last as long as it should, has some of the best riding conditions. Looking forward to the next one.
Stunning scenery! Makes me want to ride the Colorado Trail :). It's been on my bucket list for a while, but so far I haven't gotten around to it....

Your riding is owsome
Hey kids, now THIS is mountain biking. Another great ride adventure.
What a descent. My arms would have been pumped out!
What you're saying about this trail just reminded me of one of Yoan Barelli's last videos: "Everything becomes a pro line if you're going fast enough"
Hahaha, that's the truth!
Great video. More Colorado!
Such a beautiful scenery, pain and pleasure indeed.🚵🏿♂👌🏿
Epic ride. Looks fantastic on a 4k 70" tv. 😄
Lachlan Morton just broke the speed record on the whole CT by over 10 hours. Your video helps show how crazy that is!
Wow! That is really something!
Have you looked into a DC to DC charger? That'll keep the batteries topped off from the alternator when the engine is running. Then it won't draw power from the starter battery when the vehicle isn't actively being charged by the alternator.
watch about 15 secs and stopped the video. I realized this one is going to need to be watched on the TV this evening and not on my phone screen!
That’s an insane trail 👌👌
Awesome epik trail 👍🤘💪❤❤❤
That looks like a blast. Will you be stopping by Gunnison while you’re in Colorado?
Currently sat in my second week of a broken collar bone. Praying for the trail!
Argh, hate that! One day at a time.
Grate man 🤘💯❤❤❤👌👌i love jungle ride ❤👌💯love from India🇮🇳
Ahhh. Life's greatest paradox. I like this version of it: "Don't trade what you want most for what you want now".
Incredible scenery! Not keen on that peanut butter mud though 🤣
I live in colorado and one thing I wanted to ask was how do you handle sandy loose dirt that sink ur wheel in a inch or two.
I have ridden about 5 hrs of the Colorado Trail and understand the high altitude effect. Sapping to say the least! Love Carvers Brewing food and beers. Am I allowed to ask where your wife is on this trip?
Epic dude!!!
Love it ☺️
what is the microphone set up you have for one person and for when you have two people. Audio is flawless!
Beautifull place wow.....😍🥰😘

It worked out well! I always have a Trailforks / Strava link in the description if you're curious about the specifics:

Very close!
When we ride with my friend VT, i saved myself many times, because he is so strong! Just Climb, and Climb, and more and more! :D
Hahaha yes!
So beautiful
Saludos amigo ! Great video. 🎃

Just wondering. What if something bad happens, how and how long you able to get help or to be helped?
Epic !!
