This almost makes me miss XC racing..... Last weekend I attended the iconic 12 Hours of Mesa Verde in Cortez, Colorado. Sarah Rawley, PJ Russell, Dacre Dunn and Kevin Kruse, all current and former Yeti employees entered the coed team division as the "Denim Dentists" Get it?! . I was team dad, so it seemed only fitting that I jumped in for a hot lap with Dacre to make sure the course was up to snuff and that Dacre wasn't slacking. The track is rad and Dacre was pedaling hard, so things were moving in the right direction. The Denim Dentists finished 8 laps, securing 2nd in the team coed overall. Not bad for a bunch of desk jockeys if you ask me. Despite still being tired from doing just 1 lap, I had an amazing time riding with Dacre. The vibe at this event is amazing, so you better start training for next year.
This was ridden on my Yeti SB120
Dacre was on a new ASR with Flight Attendant robot bits.

Super fast and flow xc lap! 😎
Damn what an awesome trail! Looks like the 120 and ASR was extremely fast! Fantastic video Nate! Very cool race there also!😎🚴♂️🍺
Mini bikes rip!
@@natehills9388 absolutely! Have a great weekend!
Nate doing XC things! Love it🤟🏻
All the bikes.
This lap is now on my bucket list!
Go get it!
That guy in the orange jersey was hard to reel in. You finally got him though. What a sick trail.
Homie was on the gas!
Awesome video! The pace that you guys were pushing was amazing to watch. 🍻🍻
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow! Trail looks super fun. Especially with you two shredding it. Great video!
Super engaging track for sure!
Congrats on the great finish. Looked super fun but brutal.
The flow sections look fun and the mix of tech looks great. Really enjoyed this one!
Good stuff Nate, got me glued to the screen all along from down here in Brazil. It almost seems you guys could be on Gravel rigs for that one, hahah. Kidding. Denim Dentists is right.
Almost gravel bike worthy, haha. Hope to hit some jumps with you this summer!
Great edit, sick trail, You guys were shredding!
I have spent a lot of time on that course. I feel every inch of this video.
Engaging track, to say the least.
Although I set my watch for FCF and enjoy everything you put out. This one is top shelf! Great riding, great comradery, great energy, great views! This is stuff that makes me consider subscribing to the extended stuff! Great stuff. i know, i know, do it already right ☮
Keeping the levels high in this one for sure. Dacre is always fun to ride with.
Damn, this course is absolute fire!
Really engaging the whole way. There is nothing straight on the entire loop.
I’ve been doing this shit forever but I think that might be the best XC race lap I’ve seen.
This track is ideal for keeping speed and flow. There is 1200' of climbing but it almost feels as though you are always descending.
So cool meeting you at this race 🤙
Nice to meet you as well! Fun times out there!
Nice work! Rippin it!
So cool Nate you chasing the ASR and such an EnduroBahrooow at that! Love all your vids but just watching this one and some of the other Vids around Cortez which my bro has property near Phils has me Joanzen for a trip out there!
Make it happen! Beautiful part of Colorado.
We need another home shop bike build!👍😎
Sports mode selected!
Looks super cool, thinking you could just run a rigid on that one. Surprised you didn't run into Johnny and Eli out there, putting in the miles, lol.
You could nurse a gravel bike around this one but the full squish definitely feels nice in the rocky bits. No Tomac sightings. V sad.
no endo this time, doing GJ proud in the turquoise cutoffs
Dacre is a legend!
I would be breathing heavy and want to die trying to keep up with Dacre on a ASR!
Hanging on by a thread.
Surfs up in Bali. Thanks for sharing the adventure @ Mesa Verde. Curious, why the ride on the SB120? Blue skies from the beach.
120m is the smallest bike I own. This is an XC race.
Denim Dentists... hahahah. that's gold!
Fitting!
128miles 12800' of climbing... strong!
"that bologna skin was barking back there"...say what?
Let em bark!
C'mon, we want to see the 1200' of climbing.
Nobody wants to see that, haha
@@natehills9388 Why? Once we see it, it can't be unseen. Lol. Nobody suffers in mtb vids on RUclips. Pain and pleasure.
Looks like singlespeed friendly course
If that's your thing, this is the track.
trail so in great condition, the clip is 22:43 in length but it lasted 28mins w/ ads. shall i subscribe now? 🙂
Looks like you are riding lower Phil’s World trails?
Indeed.
