I've been hearing vegan a lot but you're the only one I've come across that gives it class. I eat everything edible and I'm dying to reach through the screen and share your meal. ❤😁
Also, you said, "I'm a film maker that races bikes: all the bikes!" I just can't imagine your fitness. Riding gnarly terrain with a camera in one hand, going head to head with some pros, for a film maker, your fitness (in all senses) is insane! Whatever you do to keep it up, continue!😅
Thanks for giving me a chance to look into a snippet of your life.😊

One of my favorite rides! There is a group in Tucson called the Tucson Tri-girls and every summer they have the Easy Peasy Squeezy. Each week they go a little farther up the hill and by the 6th week you go all the way to the top. Great group for less experienced riders. Thanks for showcasing Tucson! It is truly one of the better riding towns in America. If you ever go to Tucson again, hit me up and I call tell you all the good vegan restaurants because Tucson has some real gems. Ride on VC!

Before you descend into Summerhaven, try turning right at ski valley and climb up to the observatory! You can get another 800-1000 feet of elevation gain and get some even better views at the top

I can't fathom that someone would think it's not ok to leave a 13 year old kid alone for 7-8 hours. In the 90's my 12 year old cousin would babysit my sister (8) and me (6) and it was perfectly acceptable. We didn't even have mobile phones in case there was an emergency.

People need to remember that just because their kids sucks and aren't responsible enough to be alone doesn't mean everyone's kids suck as much as theirs.

+1 for staying home alone. My mom (single mom) left me home alone all the time when I was 10. Granted I had older siblings, but they were often off doing their own thing. We used to wear those baja hoodies in the early 90's. I also think it was fairly normal as a 7 year old in the 80's to.....walk a couple miles home from school, be left alone an entire day if needed, tear a bike completely down and put it back together etc.....I know it was for me.

All of us kids in the early 80's were going home alone after school by the age of of 6. It was just normal back then. I was one of the last in my class actually to not have to go back to daycare after kindergarten got out because my mom and dad both worked till 5:30p. I'd walk home, screwing around the whole way making a mile walk back home into the greatest adventure. Get home, turn on MTV just in time to catch the top 20 count down and cook myself up some spaghetti O's and a Swiss Cake roll and be totally cool till the parental units got home. I only started a couple brush fires before I was 10. It was rad. I miss the 80's so bad.

I lived in the US for 1 year as an exchange student many years ago,, One huge thing that shocked me was the lack of trust everywhere.. In Denmark we leave babys alone outside sleeping in the trolly outside apartment buildings, on the Streets outside restaurant.. I see 4-5 year old outside playing alone all the time .. Where I as a 17 year old in a US highschool could not even take a dump on a Toilet with a door there where no DOORS WTF .. I could not invite a girl into my room and have the door closed, I had to sit in the living room.. But we could take the car and drive away, guess its safer in the woods in a car than in the safety of the home where the parents are close by..

Dude I would have done the same thing around 8 years old with my son. I lost my dad at 12 and I was on my own because my mom was an alcoholic and an addict. If my dad never died I'd probably be a giant wuss( silver lining ). It's a fine line between fighting your wife for your young child's freedom and giving it to them. It's a very fine line that I know I have to walk. He has your wisdom to follow and DNA. He will be a stud ( already is now ). Sounds like your wife's a badass, too, so he is double bad ass. I used to ride up this mountain road to get to the bug springs trail and stopped because of how many times too many people have gotten too close to me while riding up the road. Couple of days later saw in the news that someone hit a cyclist and ran, and the rider died. It just sucks people can't learn to take an extra 5-10 seconds of their time to slow down and move over.

I’ve been running the KAV 3d printed lid for 2 years and it’s hands down the best helmet on the market because of the whole concept. It fits insanely good, it looks good, it breathes good, it’s light… it is expensive, that’s the downside, but you want ever buy an off the shelf helmet again once you go this way.

“Connect with your son???” Get real, you lock him up in an Air BNB and go off to play. Whether he’s old enough is not the question. I’m sure it sucks for him and shows him where your priorities lie. Try to justify it all you want but your guilt is showing. I like your videos and all but the schtik is getting a little old. Also, you never seem to pick up on the fact that over “training,” more like just over riding, is not the way to go for racing success. Forever a rookie.
