iO Tillett Wright: Fifty shades of gay

  • Photographer iO Tillett Wright grew up between genders and sexualities. She's shot 2,000 people who consider themselves somewhere on the LBGTQ spectrum and asked many: can they assign a percentage to how gay or straight they are? Most people consider themselves to exist in the grey areas of sexuality, which presents a real problem when it comes to discrimination. Because where do you draw the line? (Filmed at TEDxWomen.)

    Great talk from a person who would lie about domestic abuse for Amber Heard. I don't care what gender your identify with and who you are attracted to but the fact that IO TILLET WRIGHT is a citizen who lied under oath and continues to do so. I have looked into the evidence that was made public, made my own conclusions and listened to sources who represent high standards and transparency.

    Too bad we cant take anything iO says seriously after he tried to further his own aspirations and career by riding the coattails of his more famous friends. Then proceeded to lie for one friend to destroy another friend, the friend that actually helped him out. Who can trust the word of someone like that.

    This person outed an underage child (Lili Rose Depp, 16 years old) as bi when she was not, and used her image without her mother and/or fathers consent to promote his project "Self Evident Truths" (that her father Johnny Depp himself was promoting anyway). Her fathers comments about this: "My daughter was extremely distressed by used this way and so was I. I felt like it was a huge betrayal of trust to go behind by back and then to publish extremely personal and false information about my 16 year-old-daughters sexuality. I had been so generous to IO and really sought to help him and in return he caused a very significant amount of distress to my daughter." ..

      This junkie loser didn't stop with messing with Depp's daughter. Depp had let him stay rent free in one of his apartments and he went on to thank him by colluding with Amber Heard and other members of her little junkie coven to fabricate a trail of domestic violence, including calling the LAPD, in order to incriminate Depp and help Amber in her bid to extort money out of him in a divorce settlement.
      The lot of them should be in jail.

    This talk is one of the most fantastic speech ever. It is very intelligent, very clever and opens up a bunch of new perspectives for everyone. Shows strange and interesting facts from a point of view, people never even looked at before from a direction like this. Every thought she says is in my head all the time. When you just do not fit in any fucking boxes, or under any lines, descriptions or definitions. When you unable to define yourself because you are none of those definitions but you're all of them in the same time within one body and one mind. In a way you feel gender-free as an identity or being but your manliness and womanliness is already mixed up and causing so much confusion. Your mind is male and a female in the same time, just like the way of your thinking or your body-awareness. Sometimes you cannot even decide who you are attracted to or why you like certain type of people and why your attraction is swinging to so many directions?

    She makes amazing points and I adore her, and when I look at her pictures im in awe. But I also realized that out of all the pictures there is noone like me. She did great choosing equal amount of white people and POC, of men and women, old and young etc. But I'm a girl, and the girls I saw where so.... short hair, tattoo's, edgy etc. None that was just... plain. None that was just average. None who just melts into the crowd with their average lenght of hair and average clothing.
    I realize that not many average lesbians/bisexuals/any sort of no straight sexuality might ahve shown up to the photo-shoots, but the portrayal here of not straight women is part of the stereotype that they ahve to look a certain way. The amount of times I've doubted my sexuality just because I "don't look gay". And just let me tell you, that feeling that you're not even good enough for your sexuality because you don't look a certain way, it's really fucking useless

    • @aniemist

      The_Melon I am straight, I only say this so you know what perspective I am speaking from. I very much dislike when people label and stereotype others to that extent, you are who you are, and the way you look only matters insofar as the way you want to look. Just be who you are, the people who care about you are all that should matter and if they belittle you because you don't look a certain way then they are shallow and unworthy of your attention. As Tillett said in the video the boxes and labels created only help people understand each other so far and you should not be restricted to them by any means. There is plenty of hate and ignorance in this world, when you are being yourself or when you are loving another person nobody has the right to question that choice it is yours and yours alone. People are much more complex than these labels and stereotypes, and a person is much more than the image people have of them.

    • @marz3079
      @marz3079 8 лет назад

      are you saying those who disagree with her are less intelligent? religious beliefs do not determine the fundamentals of our brains. there is diversity in every community. religious or not

    • @LeJacqline
      @LeJacqline 8 лет назад

      +Fred Johnson Religious beliefs were never mentioned by them at all. Many, many Christians are supportive of the LGBT community, along with those of other religions. Not to mention many LGBT people are religious themselves. They were not insinuating anything bad about religious people. However it is rather unintelligent to wish your fellow human to have few rights than you for something such as loving another consenting adult. That is the only point they were making. If they meant religious people they would have stated so.

    • @marz3079
      @marz3079 8 лет назад

      +LeJacqline I got worked up. my bad. but if you read some of my other comments, you will know that I never mean to take anyone's rights away. if I could vote, I would neither vote for, or against it.

    • @LeJacqline
      @LeJacqline 8 лет назад

      I have read your other comments, however I disagree that you do not wish to take anyone's rights away. By choosing to do nothing you are showing that you view LGBT people as lesser, less deserving. I see no other reason to not vote for LGBT rights, and no Christianity does not go against homosexuality so you cannot use that as a reason. You are just not an extremist or as vocal about it.

    • @marz3079
      @marz3079 8 лет назад +1

      +LeJacqline uh, what? seriously? are you kidding me? really? I respectfully disagree with them. yet it appears you have no respect for mine. how rude of you to say that I think they deserve less. according to your logic, by not voting, I'm also saying that extremists don't deserve my vote. And they don't. respect dude. :P

    IO told a totally different story about “playing basketball” with the boys on a gender equality podcast.
    She also said she loves her body as a woman and stripped down to her bra and boxers and talked about “waxing her bush”.
    IO testified in JD’s trial yesterday. She was referred to as Mr Tillet Wright.
    IO has a deep voice and was wearing a man’s suit.
    “Born and raised in NYC”???
    Really IO?
    In the podcast you said you were a “feral child” that lived in Germany, Belgium and England.
    I don’t care about IO’s sexuality/gender.
    I DO care that he’s a liar and “advocate” for the GLBTQ community.

      There is something more that might involve her/him/their:
      His/her/their appearance during testimony in the 2022 Virginia trial differs markedly to this 2013 clip in terms of them now appearing a masculine, down-to-earth, sober, mainstream suit-wearing man, that a jury might relate to. Evidence has emerged, after analysis of his/her/their Instagram posts and employment travel history that they were in fact located in LA when some maladjusted individual deposited and concealed well-formed, healthy human faeces within AH and JD's bed linen (on JD's side of the bed).
      AH described this inappropriate behavior as a "practical joke gone wrong", on other occasions she swore the substantial output was produced by her tiny, teacup sized Yorkshire Terrier.
      Given that most healthy people are disinclined to defaecate in their own bed, I believe that AH is unlikely to have been responsible for this insult to JD. However, this individual, a staunch friend of AH's who testified as a 'non-friend' of JD, can be shown to have edited his Instagram locations to conceal he/her/their location in LA on the date of this act. Looking at this persona, who probes artistic and societal boundaries, many believe him to be responsible.

    Love her quote, "Sparking empathy had become the backbone of self-evident truth... ...Self-evident truth doesn't erase the differences between us. In fact on the contrary it highlights them. It presents not just the complexities found in a perception of different human beings, but the complexities found within each individual person. It wasn't that we had to many boxes, it was that we had too few."
    Going for the grey is a huge key to unlocking our own happiness. Letting go of our default stories that rely on polarization will free us from our own torment!
