If you skip the FX engine (its only got 2 I think) and the onboard DAW, this is likely a great live sound budget board with a large easy to read screen.
Looks good especially for the price and size, but hopefully there will be another line of new mixers announced with Dugan, for example. Very much necessary for the corporate world where this size of desk with that feature, would be so ideal. However, I would imagine cost is a big factor.
They should just eliminate 'for corporate events' in all marketing. Clearly the absence of any automix tech shows that this was not a top target audience.
For a single presenter with audio from a laptop, handheld for Q&A and some walk-in music it’s pretty good. If you get stuck with a panel discussion, you’d be back in the dark ages... Hoping for a DM3+.
@@duncanmcneill7088 Since posting this I learned that the TF series didn't have Dugan automix when it first came to market, but approx 2 yrs later via firmware update. Let's hope Team Y will do the same but in a shorter timeframe for the DM3 or sibling.
I ask the same thing, But Remember, it was NO dugan automixers in the first firmware/system of the TF series, So is something that IF we make the noise FROM now, (Dugan, Dugan, Dugan, Dugan) they will add it in the next UPDATE
The DAW sucks, don't use it for that. Run the DAW on a PC instead, use the mixer for levels and EQ. The screen is nice and big, making it easy to read compared to the tiny screens.
I miss two really important features to use the DM3 in professional way: No De-Esser in the dynamic section. No Dugan auto mixer. And at last just an interesting fact: A DM3 Editor for Apple Silicon seems to be no problem for the Yamaha software engineers. But they are still not able to program the Nuage Tools for Apple Silicon for the Yamaha studio flagship... why??
Are the Dante inputs I ADDITION (ie separate from) the 22 input channels, or can those 16 Dante ins only be assigned to the same bank of 16ch's that the XLR ins can be assigned to? Ie. No way to get 32 ins? 16 XLR's are 16 from Dante?
Looks like a great new small format mixing console, could this be the long awaited successor of the famous 01X of the early 2000’s? I still have 1 working by the way, only in stand alone mode unfortunately as no current drivers.
Not without flexibility to choose different options for connectivity. Not everyone wants to use Dante, particularly for project studio setups. A flexible expansion slot for Dante, Avb, Adat or MADI would have been great. If a Behringer x32 can accommodate almost all of these options and for half the price, this mixer does not represent good value for money.
Yet, I've used it 3 times now and it is the best small format, low channel count mixer on the market. Also sold out and nearly impossible to get off the shelf anywhere in the world.
Hey this is an amazing mixer but it would be so much better with at least 24 input channels running a full band on this mixer would be hard with just 16 physical inputs
If you buy the Dante version, you can just extend it (up to 22 channels) with their digital stage boxes (only 1 Ethernet cable to FOH). Much more flexible than having a large desk, where you'll still need a stage box anyway to avoid having all those cables (or a snake) running from stage to FOH. Edit: Never mind. The Dante support is only 16x16 and it looks like the stated "22-Channel" support is a stretch anyway -- they're including FX returns and stuff in that. Still good for smaller gigs and maybe they'll release a larger DM5?
Need please hear yamaha 1.automix 2. at least 6fx engine 3. Physical fader less 4. Daw support for external plugin support fully 5. 24ch mic pre amp(4stereo) 6. Studio grade plugin in build 7. Fully based on touch screen no physical fader
I’m digging it! As a mobile DJ who also provides sound reinforcement for MC’s,Rappers and Vocalist with Live Instruments this is Dope

Please add Dugan Automix feature in a firmware update and you will gain a new customer here

What About the dugan automixers??
Is it correct that there is No dugan in this desk?
this is a must buy! so versatile.
Is there a automix?like Dugan?

Can we Link fader or channel in this console if so please comment....
Thanks, does this work with studio one of presonus?
Is there a DAW control in it?

Got it today.
What is the best way to get sound from my imac/ logic to the dm3 and headphones?

dm3 can extend to 32 channel on local panel with stage box? thx
That EQ seemed pretty laggy on the screen, that would frustrate me
I had the same thought...
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 brother you’re so amazing trainer I love you doing that great time bro easy to learn from you 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ thanks buddy 😊😊😊
How much gain can be added? Would I need a Cloudlifter for the Shure SM7B?
Could you make a video how to link channels in a group please?

This is one for the most impractical sound related pieces of technology I have ever seen.

This guy seems to whinge about everything all over RUclips
Can you daisy chain more than one of these together thanks
VIA Dante? Most likely.
Tell me dm3 can copy channel?
Can it control the DAW?
Can I get 22input on this board
Like the small compact DANTE mixer. Not a fan of the TF series of consoles though. Much prefer the CL or QL series.
What's the price
