Actually it's overrated but in a good way cuz when Seasons was released in Sims 4, It drastically made the game better. Unfortunately, other EPs and GPs were not like that. it added features but not as big like the Seasons.

When my sim dad (mom, dad, twin toddlers) gets home from work he stands outside. while outside the twins will come from where ever they are and go outside and hug their daddy. The cutest thing ever. EA still sucks for lying about fixing the skin tones. Bless your heart for trying to make us feel better. I

@@taylorsaurus according to the 2 videos I've watched since the update by It'sMeTroi and Grimcookies. EA literally just told US to tick a box...uncompressed textures. My local geeks tell me that all depends on ones computer graphics card and monitor resolution. blah blah blah.

Another fun fact about tans: while one sim gets a tan and falls asleep, other sims can actually prank them and write funny stuff with sunscreen on their body. This will give the pranked sim an embarassed moodlet.

Omg I needed a content like this. Lately I see only negativity toward the sims 4 so I kinda avoided every sims 4 content (except speed builds and let' plays)!

It drives me INSANE how arrogant some get. They act like they're the only reason sims is popular and EA is a "fool" for not listening to them more. I wonder how they reach that keyboard while on their high horse.
Also, they all rave about SIms 3 saying it's better. Sims 3 was my LEAST favorite cause I felt it was impossible to make a good looking sim. My sims in SIms 4? They are MODELS and I love it.

The funny part is that some peopke are convinced the sims community thinks like a hive so they try yo boycott the packs lol. And then they're shoked when they learn that it sold well😂😂😂!
Thanks for making this. I see lots of complaints about the game. I'm a newcomer to the game and have never played any other game. I'm a "senior" person and a computer professional. I'm amazed at the brilliance of the designers and modders. I have to tell you I've had a lot of "toys" in my lifetime and I've never had anything like this that releases my creativity and captivates my attention like this game does. It has world wide appeal and use and that's a credit to the community and contributors like you. Your efforts are appreciated and enjoyed.
I once spiked food at thanksgiving dinner. It depleted all sims bladder need. There was 20 sims and one bathroom. It was glorious chaos.

Older Sims can become "partners in crime" as well .. it's tied to mid level mischief skill, afaik, and since children don't unlock that skill until social 10 they get it at mid level social skill. Adults can also plan silly pranks with their "partner in crime", regardless of their age. You get funny pop ups about success or failure of those pranks, too.
About the sunburn thing, your sim gets a tan line of any article of clothing, EVEN WITH COSTUM CONTENT. 🤯

I like putting them in holey clothes to tan like the island living mesh nets then they get very textured tan lines
That is an AMAZING detail! I just found out a while ago. Have to say though, didn’t expect to see it in TS4.
I found that out horribly I had a cc jaws bathing suit so she ended up with a bite-mark sunburn

Side note but I love the monster spray in the game, I think that was with Parenthood? I wasn't like this but my little brother was terrified of monsters and "bad guys" and we did the same thing (litearlly put "monster spray" on a can of Lysol but you know, placebo effect). Just adds a bit of realism.
Monster spray is in base game, believe it or not!
I do spookfest so it sounds like it belongs, because Christmas is Winterfest, and Thanksgiving is Harvestfest.

I hardly knew about any of these :'D Awesome video. It sucks that the core of the game is pretty bad. The sims lacking in personality ect. It's cool to be reminded of the positive things in the game. But I think the rise in critique towards the sims team lately is our biggest hope in change. I think they both deserve and will be able to handle some heat and hopefully it will result in a better game. Can always hope anyway.

i played sims most of yesterday and some today only stopped as i got tired, just got out of hospital and learning to walk again the sims is giving me freedom lol as iv'e felt so trapped love making stories on there, just got to remember to put a roof on i was wondering why my sims had so many colds and the electric items were breaking lol

Only if your game settings are on English. I don't play in English and my cowplants don't have a name automatically.

Absolutely love some things about the Sims 4. Tried playing Sims 2 in a long time and I actually missed some stuff from Sims 4!
The monster under the bed is cute and funny at first but then gets kind of annoying XD I didn’t realize that child’s light was for it. Thankyou for pointing it out! :D

It made me laugh so hard when I watched the baby dancing for the 1st time. I have ever since. But I loved teaching my own kids to dance. I was a dancer too. Thank you for the fun video.
Toddler dancing is so cute!!!
I have a 5 year old nephew and an almost 2 year old niece (they're siblings), and watching them sing and dance together is so stinking cute. It's moments like those that make life magical.

Thank you for this vid! It's rare to see the small details being given love fir this game, it's always focused on what it doesn't do than what it has done right. Sometimes a reminder that it's a different game is all that's needed.

@@taylorsaurus i actually encounted a really interesting thing today, not sure it's an eco life thing or university, but housemates can upgrade certain items in the house at random - one upgraded the toilet in the house and i didn't notice they made it compost waste until we had several unexplained fires 😆
Also, with the pet stuff pack, cats can sit and watch the small critters from above the containers as well as the little pets themselves go to tge moon, win Nobel prizes for curing sim illnesses ect, its pretty funny to see explosions ect coming from the hutches!
The game has lots of little details that can easily be missed if you're not paying attention, and it gives the game a nice unique charm. It needs to step out of the shadow of the older games and carve out some more original ideas, they've often said they want sims 4 to last longer than the sims 3 and hopefully they'll get that wish.

One thing I HATE about the sims community is how arrogant I feel a lot of creators get. They only seem to whine about packs and insist that they are EXACTLY what EA needs to make a perfect game. Snowy Escape (when they included a Sim RUclipsr in building homes) still received hate even though they listened a lot to fans. Sims 4 has done a lot more listening to fans than previous games, I feel. It seems as though Sims youtubers often complain and won't give credit where credit is due. Making a new animation costs MONEY and takes a lot, but new animations just get a "meh". Plus, making a sims game takes MORE than just building nice houses and making stories. I don't think they realize that they don't have as much skill as they think they do when it comes to the game. There's more to making a game than what they do.
The way I see it, be critical when necessary, but appreciate the effort and time put into the game already.
Playing the sims 3 for like 2yrs then switching to sims 4 was fine for me, i didnt have all the packs so i missed all those detailed and add-ons like traits. Just 3 packs, and sims 4 was out with the parenthood pack already.
my favorite detail is the “it’s so... cute?” interaction when a human household has an alien, the way they just recoil as the alien baby giggles innocently is so hilarious

I like the build objects, but the CAS stuff is just recolours and it doesn’t seem like they did anything to the skin tones

Having the little sister present for the 'Woo-hoo talk' made it look like the mom finished giving him the talk only for him to immediately turn around and explain the birds and the bees to his little sister, which is very funny to me, unfortunately
I like too with decorating the tree that if you choose decorations that don't look good together, your Sims will notice and will be sad that their tree is ugly lol.
I RT'd AP's list when it came out to also spread that positivity. I also like sending out that forged breakup letter, usually to either the Bjergsens or the Delgatos depending on the save. (I sent it recently the latter and they instantly "caught" me because they recognized my sim's signature. That reaction (and the other) still makes me laugh.
And I love the names of the books, and the descriptions, too. Some are very clever. Oh, and how toddlers hug other toddlers and how they hug puppies -- OMG the cuteness. :D
The other night light with the moon/stars on it also gets rid of the monster under the bed. I like how that one looks better so I always use that
4:35 this is similar to the Sims 2 when their social would get too low, the Social Bunny would appear to them, but not be visible to others. Same thing with the psychiatrist, too I think
I rarely comment but i just wanted to say that you became, in a short period of time one of my favourite youtubers talking about Sims...love your sweet voice that goes great with such a beautiful face (married woman so its not creepy)...anyway you keep up the good work and you gained a loyal fan from croatia 😘

honestly i was getting bored of the sims 4 but then i got the sims 2 which i used to have as a kid and it made me realise all the good things about the sims 4 like the general quality or the things you can do like become a celebrity or mermaid

I remember that a few days in sim after my sims bf moved in, he got a call about a baby being born, I was so confused and went to simology. It turns out he got a sim pregnant before my sim started to date him xD (Awkwarddddddd) xD
TBH, I wish the woohoo talk had different reactions. My woohoo talk was with schoolmates and my moodlet would have been "confused: I dunno why grown-ups do that...glad I am not a grown-up". My sister's woohoo talk with parents was awkward. Her moodlet would be "Shocked: my parents are insane!". My other sister's woohoo talk with parents was chill. Her moodlet would be "Calm: Now I know how this all works. What's next to learn about life"
If The Sims Team could make reactions such as these, I would love it.

Truth be told, as much as I miss the Sims 2's gameplay mechanics (lounging on a couch while watching! Hello!) the Sims 4 does a better job on the technical side with interweaving multiple tasks/actions. Also ngl, blame the higher ups at EA, because I feel that the devs also want to have what the community's been begging for but can't because work protocol, and they're getting flamed for it.
There are things to love about The Sims 4, I just wish it had more depth

No, you don't have to wait a day or two to get engaged and even elope if you're relationship values are high enough. Toddlers do have a dance option instead of bob to music once movement is high enough.
I know most people hate the monster under the bed, but one of my favorite families have their children become friends with it. They have some really cute interactions if you have the child talk to the monster instead of run from it. It does take a bit of time to gain the trust of that monster though, so you will need to be patient.
Just found some of your older videos. I love your video you always make me smile and feel happy.
if you go to the waterfall in Sulani you can attract frogs and get frogs 3 times per attraction of them with breaks between frog catches while wondering around picking plants or other digs and things

Another little detail you may have missed is when a radio is on in the house and your sim is trying to sleep near the radio, they'll wake up immediately. They don't get a moodlet (
I just realized that a few days ago 🤣 I was wondering why my teen woke up all the time even though she was tired 😂
That's an interesting detail, but I started leaving my radio on through the night when I was like 11 or 12 as background noise to sleep (that and a ceiling fan), all while sharing a room with my lil sister lol. So I wish they could at least fall asleep to (and stay asleep) lullabies or classical music.

I always try to have the kid talk to the monster under the bed and sometimes they become friends. With a child selected you have to click on the bed when the monster is seen. May have to quickly cancel the kid panic or stop then from waking the parents before the monster goes away.

I can confirm that embarrassed sims can die. I was playing the sims with my sister, and I was humiliated by this well. I died on the floor and my sister and I were laughing. It was funny.
