Yeah I was playing a family recently that I was super invested in. Young couple, brand new baby, dad was progressing through the astronaut career which is new for me I was excited about it. Iv played for years but for some reason never chosen this career path. He has a rocket out back which he was taking trips in, everything was going well he was nearly at the top of his game and one night he went to the toilet. Sat on the pan and died from hysterically laughing ….. I was less than amused! Fast forward his baby boy has grown up, got married and is working his way through the astronaut career so I can finally see how it goes 😂

My legacy family I’m super invested in has a tragic death also. Parents had 6 kids. At the time they had 4 adult kids, they all went out to dinner and the youngest adult kid (it was her birthday dinner btw), died of laughter right in the restaurant. It is highly upsetting when your sims die and you’re not the one that killed them lol

I have a funny story about the tragic clown.
I was playing with my brother’s family on the sims 1. One of the children died due to a fire. (I might’ve put her in a enclosed room and had her set off a firework 😏) I thought the father of the child was so depressed, he started to wearing a clown suit and walked around, crying. I found out later that the father was at work 😂😂

I’ve been using the baby gender thing for awhile now and today I wanted my Sim family to have a girl so I made her eat strawberries and listen to pop. It has always worked for me. Bubble baths are the best way to get a base game hysterical death, especially if you have a goofball or clumsy Sim as they get random playful moodlets. I legit had a Sim get hysterical because he was in the bubble bath (which I did not tell him to take) and he completed his resolution because he got promoted. He went from Very Playful to Hysterical and died as soon as he got out of the tub. Laundry is another way to get both high angry and playful moodlets. Wet laundry will make them angry and warm dry clothes give a playful moodlet. Both have caused death for me before. I've only ever had one death from embarrassment and that was a teen who aged up during my 100 baby challenge. It still counted, though since he died as an adult. Also, there is an extreme playful moodlet that child of the island sims get when they observe Sulani's culture. It lasts forever and does not go away; it's so strong that even the potions you get from the reward store don't help. This also caused a death in my career legacy gameplay.

That and once they are in a happy mood, make funny faces in the mirror. My sim was a goofball and made funny faces in the mirror and went from happy to hysterical in less than a sim hour. After I stopped them from making the funny faces, they died. Luckily they had a death flower in their inventory.

Me and my mom have been playing the sims since I was very young. She introduced the Sims 3 to me when I was 6, and since then we have both come together to appreciate the game. Around two weeks age, my mom ended up killing her sim with kindness- The sim had just gotten engaged, then married, had a wonderful New Years and completed her resolution. I believe it had also experienced it's first kiss, as well as woohoo'd in the shower very well for the first time. She became absolutely erratic and giggled herself to death. We own almost every Sims 4 expansion, and have both been playing for over 14+ years, so It was a big surprise to find out they can just die from too much emotion.

I've had far too many sims die to being hysterical. I've gotten very lucky in my legacy that every time it's happened, I've had very confident sims around that were able to successfully plead for their lives. I sometimes just straight up turn the emotional deaths off with MCCC though 😂

Funny thing, just half an hour after watching this, my Sims are on their honeymoon in sulani and one of the ends up dying of laughter... I was able to ressurect him cause his husband bought a bunch of death flowers when he became a Spellcaster. It wasn't even the first time this sim died though! He was crushed by a Murphy bed while a teen and his brother pleased with grim to ressurect him. This was also my first day motional death in years of playing too...

A sim can also die of excessive laughing, which I found out by accident - one time I loaded my game, and the very first thing my favorite sim did was laugh and then die "O.O" .. then, all I did was exit to menu (without saving - very important to note) and then reload game = sim alive and never repeated the laughter-death ever again. Exiting to menu and reloading also cheats way of not having to debug or craft a death-flower. Also, very important to note: ALWAYS save your game with each passing sim day.

Hmm, I actually have selected 'phrases' on save files I overwrite again and again in the game : "Quick-Save!" I use constantly, and then "Recovery Save Point (1-5)" that I cycle through; when I get to (5), I overwrite (1) again, and so on, like this : "Recovery Save Point 1" "Recovery Save Point 2" and my Official Save Names that end with Chapters; like this one: "Anna's Amazing Journey Chp (1 - 1.9)" and then (2 - 2.9) The Chapters in my saves are the big milestone moments, but I also like to keep the small things as 1.(1-9), the next big milestone marks Chapter 2 ... then; at the end of a gameplay session I copy my save and sometimes my tray folders from my documents folder into a separate dated gameplay backup folder. I do this with *every* pc-based game that I play: Truck Sim, Farm Sim, Train Sim, and "People Sim," haha.
Here is an example gameplay backup: My Documents / Gameplay Backups / The Sims 4 Archives / My Favorite Sim-play / 10-25-2021 / save + tray folders.
Even on a console you could still use the reusable save files, if they let you name different save files and use multiple save files? I do not have a game console.
For pc, if you don't have much room to make archives; just buy a USB flash and place your gameplay backups on there!
This is sooo super helpful; if you suddenly remember a specific game memory, or a time in the past when your Sim was just a little one: and you want to briefly enjoy that moment again - just go to your backup folders; either by dates, or, you can give the folder topic names and the date it is archived. Then you can literally swap out save folders, by placing the current game save folder into a "The Sims 4 Gameplay Hold Folder" into a folder dated when it was swapped out; once you've switched the save folders: enjoy those moments again in real-time, not just memories!!
I often reduce game-load stresses by keeping a lot of my gameplay archived in save folder copies; then deleting the older files in my current gameplay folder. To explain that accurately: I make a copy of the save folder inside the Electronic Arts Sims 4 documents folder, then, when i have that copy archived; i go into the game and delete all of the unnecessary saves - thus reducing the amount of save files the game currently needs to load up in the save window.
Also, on The Sims 4: I use a separate save folder for different gameplays; which also reduces the amount of saves per gameplay sessions! It's super helpful when making an archive too; you have only that gameplay saves in that archive!
That could look something like this:
My Documents / Gameplay Backups / The Sims 4 Archives / My Favorite Sim-play / 10-25-2021 / save + tray folders.
/ My Other Sim-play / 10-25-2021 / save + tray folders.
But; *always* remember, that *anything* can happen: keep two forms of backups for your most Favorite gameplay; a USB flash and a Disc, along with the one on the pc! : - )

Yes, you can purchase some death flowers. It's an ingredient for the immortality potion. Also, you can plant them and harvest a lot of them. Better to plant in a sheltered area when you have seasons. Normally, they bloom only during the winter.

Spellcasters can also create Death Flowers using the Herbio Spell. ICR, but I believe a medium to high charge helps.

You can also use the anti-mosnter spray but that can be a bit annoying to do everytime. Also, your children can check if there are monster under their bed... if there aren't, they will feel courageous for being brave and if there are... they will NOT sleep in that bed.
Also, it was hillarious when you tried to make the sims mad at each other and she was like "I was cheating on you, but I love you so here's a kiss, don't get jealous".

Before seasons, I quickly got a pomegranate and it took MONTHS to get the orchid for whatever reason. I got the orchid after seasons, and now EVERY TIME I get the death flower. It’s amazing! I grafted it onto many lemons to get them year round. I just don’t like the bug that causes my plants to grow less than their 10 items. I have to shrink/grow and cancel in build mode every time they grow to get them all. I really hope they patch that Xbox bug.

You can purchase a death flower sometimes in the Magical Realm from the potion ingredients spectral vendor. Or if you have level ten gardening you can buy the rare plants seed packet for a chance of it dropping. And I think it's even possible to buy it from the flower and crafts stand in Cottage Living too.

It's easier to get the hysterical death if you have Snowy Escape. The adrenaline junkie lifestyle paired with all the negative lot challenges, a few cowplants on your lot and working in a high pressure career like the criminal one paired with poor appliances have ended several Sims for me. Adrenaline junkies die quite easily and sometimes too easily.

Believe it or not,
I've only ever once killed a Sim.
My Sim was repairing a dishwasher.
He got electrocuted.
Instead of stopping him from fixing it,
I continued on with the task.
My bad! That's what killed him!
That was so long ago...

The idea of the tragic clown one freaks me out a little for some reason. I'd hate to view a picture and have the subject appear right outside my house. 🥲😅 The phone colour change is news to me. What a nice touch!

You can also get lots of death flowers by buying a bunch of the Rare Seed packets on the computer. I buy about 30 packs at a time, open them all up and usually get 1-3 death flowers in that bunch.

If you have realm of magic you can also buy the death flower from a vendor in the magical realm, it just doesn't have a 100% chance of spawning every day

The only time I’ve had a sim die from an emotion I was playing the 100 baby challenge. One of my teens was angry from something at school, but she had gotten an A so I aged her up, not realizing exactly how angry she was. Literally the second after she finishes the age up animation she took 2 steps away from the table, and died 😂

I know you made this video awhile ago but, to get twins all you have to do is make your sim woohoo twice in a row. I tested it multiple times & it works. Also, if you want your sim to specifically have a boy you have to have the male sims initiate the woohoo & vice versa if you want a baby girl sim.

Girl, I almost always have sims woohoo twice in a row just make sure they get pregnant, and it hasn't seemed to have any effect in my game. The other thing also sounds wrong, too, but it's not like I've paid attention to who initiates woohoo so I can't say for sure. Don't know what's going on in your game, but it sounds like a fluke.

So just today i used the gender thing for the babies, and i did it for a girl because they had all boys at the time, and i got not only one GIRL, I got TWO girls! So i also tried it just now, and it didn’t work, so it works sometimes (like you said) Thank you!

I saw the monster under the bed one time. I had never seen the burgundy emotion and the sim was trying to wake up a sim. Then I saw the thing under the bed. That was within the first month of playing.

Burgundy emotion is the scared emotion. It got added to base game when Paranormal Stuff was released.

I usually love multiple births but never have gotten one from sims 4 naturally. I know it's rare in all games when not using cheats or mods. But I was so mad one day when I was playing sims 2 and trying to get used to it because it's very different from the other games and my freaking sim had twin boys. I was shocked and like wtf because the one time I was only aiming for one kid to start their legacy. It always happen when you don't want it to.

I literally have 2 of my sims living literally in front of the Landgraab house and I looked at the house and was like "Ooh, I got neighbors... What a cool house", but literally didn't think to look down... 🤦‍♀😂
