Kids can sleep in any double bed. The monsters under the bed are allergic to double beds. Monsters don't come out from the upper bed of a bunk bed if there is no lower bed.
If you don't know this, the child will be mostly exhausted the whole night and also the next school day. Because this lil monster didn't let your sim child sleep. It's good to have some things they'll help avoid this.
@WWSovereignOfDuskRei You just send an adult or teen to beds where children sleep before they're going to bed and click on the beds spray the beds. You can also buy the "Coolala Defender Light" and put it on the wall near the bed. You can also ask monsters to leave when a child is befriended with the monster.
I found out that the bad smell from the body outline in the apartment can be gotten rid of, if you click on just the right area where the smell comes up from you will get a repair option, the sim will then use a mop and scrub that spot and then the smell is gone.
Not only do vampires not have a reflection but also the stuffed bat Bearcula that comes with the Vampires pack also does not have a reflection. Just a little fun fact.
Some of I didn't know, but the boat I knew. In Henford on Bagley you can also travel by clicking on the busstop signs at the end of every map. Another hidden secret is that you can calm bees with a flower arrangement scented with crocus.
Storage boxes/chests - all of them function like you showed in the video EXCEPT the cardboard box that came with Eco Living, that one doesn't have shared tuning with other storage boxes on the lot. It's the only one I use anymore because it's perfect for e.g. magical stuff (one box for potions, one for artifacts etc) and it also looks great when sized down so you basically can make your own storage unit or shelf. I'm usually putting them on shelves in my Sims' garages for fossils, crystals and such. There are also a few very good CC versions of these boxes with loads of extra logos/pictures on them so you can find anything really easily. Ngl that one little storage box is one of my top 10 most favorite items in the whole game 😂😂😂
Putting barstools on the food stalls and taking the boat to the Lighthouse surprised me. Also, the mystery of body on 1313 21 Chic Apartment is actually explained in a video titled "The Huge Murder Mystery" by Chrillsim3.
The other day when my Sims family with 4 kids moved into a new house and I was decorating the kids's room, I put that Coolala wall light in their room, I dont normally read the item descriptions and after a week in game I was wondering why none of the kids complained of there being a monster under the bed, now I know why
There’s another TLC apartment that has the same odor problem in the corner of the room, I joked saying ‘I bet there’s a body buried under the floor!’ And then when I moved to the apartment in this video and saw the chalk outline it did amuse me, and how the smell comes from there. It’s pretty morbid and I’m totally down for that 😁
I clicked thinking "For sure they'll be tips/tricks I already know" and while some were, there were actually some that really surprised me! Already knew: - Sixam is Maxis backwards - the monster under the bed light - changing the colour of the phone (although I stopped doing this one because it became incredibly irritating that each time I loaded a lot my sim changed their phone covering - not sure if this bug is fixed). - boat to the lighthouse Thanks for these, Satch!
I played in that apartment. Great place if you want to build your handiness skill. Not so great for everything else. Let see... That crime scene outline and the stench coming from it. Then, there are those pesky rats and recurring roaches. There is also that electric box for the common area that tend to misbehave, and those pipes just want to leak. About the monster under the bed : Monsters need a SINGLE bed placed on the floor and used by a child to live. Have your kids sleep in a double bed. Monsters can't live under any double bed. Then, they could use the top bed of a bunk bed and have a desk or something NOT a bed at the bottom.
also, you can watch a sim take off in a rocket on the computer. someone just needs to get in the rocket and explore and your other sim can watch the launch via a computer. 🚀
i remember when i accidentally found out about placing the bar stools on the food stalls and my mind was blown. lol. usually i already know most of these things in these videos but this had things i actually didn't know, such as the body outline in san myshuno and the hidden skills, especially the retail ones! i love this game, and the fact that despite playing for years there are still new things to discover.
I downloaded a empty save file, but 1313 21 Chic Street was not bulldozed, and when I bulldozed it, I was shocked to see the body outline. 😂 I remembered a body line being somewhere but I didn’t know it was under that carpet - I refuse to live in that building now.
I'm wondering how the once famous Chrillsims would feel knowing how much his very 1st Sims Mysteries videos are still used for inspiration by today's youtube generation. He was the best!!!
@@jalapeno1119 I wish I knew what happened to him. The last time I spoke to him (we used to be fb friends), he was planning on starting his own production company. But he just disappeared
I will admit I didn’t know about the duck puddle or the food stall seating area but I did know about chests. I try to hide one in every mid-tier or above build, they’re excellent for inventory management. Now if only the sims team would make each individual refrigerator it’s own inventory 🌚
Also, chests are great for end of life planning. If you have heirlooms in an elder sims inventory, put them in a chest to gift to the next generation before they die. This is especially helpful for ambrosia you don’t want eaten from the fridge
6:13 I consider it a sincere missed opportunity that the Bathroom Clutter “nightlight” doesn’t also have this debuff. Also why do we have only one of these debuff items? With how many packs they’ve put out, I would expect at least a second functionally similar object by now, and yet no - nothing. Tip for builders: size this light down and place it near the skirting board or bottom of your given wall space. The “typical” way of having a huge nightlight above a bed makes no sense.
Now I'm going to have to move a Sims into the apartment with the body outline, I don't think I've ever used it before! I felt sad when you killed one of your Sims, but was glad it wasn't Chantel, since she reminds me of one of my Sims, lol! I have to admit I get the two mixed up sometimes, like which is named what, lol!
The icya chest from university and the cardboard box from eco lifestyle each have their own inventory. Unfortunately as far as I’m aware the chests are bugged so that if your sims move house while the chests have items in the inventory the items get stuck in the chest and you can’t use them anymore
Both the stuck inventory and glitched photos have been seemingly been de-bugged. I've never experienced either, personally, and I typically use 1 icya chest for each collection so it doesn't lag my gameplay having too many decorative items, and helps when moving since they stay in each assigned chest while in household inventory and don't have to be resorted or placed each time
Ok, so I didn't know about the funeral option, or putting bar stools at the food stalls... If you want to put your things in storage and want them separated for sorting , use the eco storage boxes. They can also be labelled with contents.
I hope they have them too, but I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to release a "Afterlife" pack in the future where they expand on funerals and give more options for sims interacting with the ghosts of family members. Because that way, they can make more money lol.
Found another hidden skill in the sims, the fishing skill, when an adult fishes they just get fish. But when I sent a child fishing , I surprisingly got crystals ,fossils, and rare fish.
Just because I could, I recently had my Sim move into 1313, and it's such an irritating lot. Not only does the outline stink, but you deal with roaches, mice/rats, leaking pipes and the power box breaks. I ended up moving her to another apartment.
I loved this. Please don't hate me. I love all your videos, but ah,ha ha ha...Satch on restraint is hilarious 😂 I know you wanted to say something about the cash 💸 grabby nonsense of having to buy packs to have some of those hidden features 🤣 😄 There. I did it for you 🤣🤣🤣👌♥️

I have watched all of Friends, multiple times, and I can't think of a reference that would make sense for that apartment. There are a couple of deaths but there's never any talk about a smell. I genuinely don't think it's a reference to anything. Just a cliche about a cheap apartment.
i've watched friends, no idea what that's meant to be a reference to. maybe it's for those people who have comfort shows and constantly rewatch the same show, so they'd know what that was referencing. but i think most people who watched friends, unless they're currently binging it on netflix, would have no clue what that's meant to be referencing
the original skill for rock climbing is still in game just dormant i noticed it by using a skill learning mod thats a little out of date it was raising the old skill not the new 1 and the old skill still works which help sim actually use the rock climb machine better which made the new skill raise way faster
There's also a boat at the beach in Cavalier Cove that takes you to the island, you can see it in the video when travelling back there's also a small motorboat
All your videos are amazing I know vampire have no reflection I watch buffy the vampire slayer Thanks for letting me know about the light of helping no more monster under the bed
I can never get the phone case feature to work. I change all my sims phone cases but they just look like black phones no matter what. Idk what I’m doing wrong
The light to get rid of the freaking monster is honestly a lifesaver xD
Kids can also talk to the monster and make friends
