I put all the children/teens in a club and give it activities like do homework, clean, repair items. Then you can just keep the club going 24/7 to make them autonomously do homework, plus take advantage of club perks

@@MathPatath Thing is they autonomously do the club activities and although it gets lots of points I don't want to add stuff that they can just keep repeating because it keeps them from doing homework.
They get plenty of points anyway from homework/cleaning.

I keep one grownup kid as a helper and I have two clubs, one lead by the matriarch, the other by the helper kid, trying to capture all living kids up to seniors and they meet each Saturday and Sunday. The club for the younger ones does homework, swimming, hugging, playing and eating (something along those lines), the club for the older ones does swimming, playing chess, hugging and whatever comes to my mind. I enjoy this a lot, those family meetings.

    Some food tips:
If you have Seasons, make “Grand Meal” this has *16* servings, but can give your sim a Dazed mood let “Food Coma”
If you have Realm of Magic, get a Cauldron, if you make Mac’n’Cheese, or Chili, there will be 16 servings, and it will stay fresh in the Cauldron for days at a time.

    Other tips:
Give everybody ear buds, have those things running constantly.
The Dance Machine trait is great for your matriarch because she can disco nap instead of sleeping, gaining energy quickly.
If you don't use a tiny home, take selfies with your baby daddy targets. Two full rounds of 5 photos with a sim brings you to good friend status.
    Slides increase movement skill quickly.
Blarffy and the other over-sized stuffed animals increase communication skill quickly.
Watching television increases imagination skill quickly.
Flash cards gets thinking up pretty quickly.

I only have the basegame, but I have also have some advice for anyone who wants to try this challenge.
1- play in a house with just the ground floor, it's much easier to find everyone. 2- put the toddler potty in their bedroom, or else your Sims will get uncomfortable from the surroundings and won't shower if the toddler is also using the potty there
3- make the matriarch's bedroom near the bathroom and the babies
4- if you have no gardening skill yet go to willow creek and find lilies. They are 10 simoleons more valuable than roses in the basegame
5- NEVER make your Sims take naps. Make them sleep. Never nap. The sleep need goes up much slower when they nap, so naps are forbidden (unless the sim is lazy and you want them in a good mood or you have the pack disco nap comes with)
6- if your programming skill is high enough mod the games. If Sims play modded games they get a happy moodlet, but only if they complete the interaction
7- make your children go fishing. They can catch fish and valuable objects while gaining th mental skill and getting their fun up. Plus if you have fish the dishes that require fish will get cheaper. If you have bass, a party size of blackened bass costs 5 simoleons. If you also have vegetables, a party size of fish tacos only costs 2 simoleons. When you have fish you can also make poke bowl, which is free
I will edit if I remember more

I typically always have 2 teens, 2 kids, and 2 toddlers cause she keeps having twins. So by the time the teens age up and move out, she has her next set of twins and has 1 more spot in the household to get pregnant again. And by that time, my kids turned to teens so the cycle continues. 😁😁

OK, you've inspired me to give this a go again! (My first attempt was on my old computer and I lost the save.) My advice is to have the toddlers watch other sims. Their thinking skill goes up so fast. I have them watch other sims that are skill building (like knitting or painting) or even when they are eating or watching tv. Doesn't matter what your sim is doing while they watch. They toddlers can even watch each other! The only thing is you need to pause the game and stack up the interactions. Totally worth it. And this will sound a bit crazy, but I have my matriarch do the grilled cheese aspiration. She can then pull grilled cheese sandwiches out of thin air to give to toddlers. I also have her aspiration hop to rack up as many aspiration points as possible. Right now I they are living in a tiny home and I have the Free Love NAP enacted. She's aspiration hopping between grilled cheese, serial romantic, and nerd brain. I'm having her earn money by recording herself knitting and uploading the videos. I wanted to do something different to earn money. Oh, and if you put food in your toddler's inventory while they are sleeping and tell them to eat it when they wake up they will stay in bed and eat.

I recently started the challenge, I think I’m currently at nine children and it’s a lot of fun. I started to assign most chores to the teenagers, I tend to give them the cooking skill and I let them prepare a lot of meals. I also unlock the doors to the Baby dungeon for them, so they can take care of the baby’s while my matriarch is doing other things. The children usually clean up puddles and potties in their free time.

Food- I always have moms or dad's into gardening and give the todds the harvestables to eat. They get a positive buff from eating good food and prevents them from getting overweight when aging to kids.
The monster doesn't affect them either if they sleep in tents, even if they are inside the house.
I made one patriarch level 10 in painting and started a painting club. He sold all the paintings the club members did in the gatherings without the investment and became a millionaire. I am not sure if that goes against the rules, though. They also were romantic in the club, so he ended up having babies with every member.

Sometimes I forget to take the present pile away after Winterfest and just let my sims keep adding and opening presents all year. It doesn't cost anything to add presents and you can get really great things from it so why not? I also keep the cheap Seasons rug near my front door because it counts as decoration for Harvestfest and Winterfest. Even if the swatch doesn't match the season, it still counts. I'm sorry sometimes I just can't be arsed to decorate the whole house. If I've got 7 babies to raise, the best I can do is change the rug swatch and call it a success.

@@river.ate.your.geese. the only glitch I've ever had is with the marriage part. The kid had to still be part of the household in certain saves for it to count.
You need to have a kid get married so usually my first kid gets married. You also need 4 grandkids so I tend to have my first few kids have a kid or two each before moving out because early on I normally still have the space for that.
To do it faster you can have the kid move out and adopt 4 kids and it will register it even if they aren't in the household.

I completely agree with you on this one! When I first started the challenge, I focused on having multiple births as much as possible--I didn't know about not aging while pregnant. Once I found out that tidbit, my strategy changed to one baby at a time. Now, my routine is to keep my new adults in the house "paying rent" through jobs or taking care of the toddler(s). When momma is about to pop, she calls the next baby daddy to come over, invites him to stay the night, and the romancing process begins. As soon as baby is born, the oldest adult moves out and sexy time begins! Mom #1 (as many babies as possible) ended up with 23 kids before she aged out, & mom #2 (1 baby at a time) has 30 with 8-10 days of baby making time left on her clock!

    MORE TIPS POST COTTAGE-LIVING:
    1) Prioritize getting the Never Weary trait first! It's 10k aspiration points, but that's not that hard to achieve if you switch aspirations for whatever task you're doing. Then the steel bladder trait. My matriarch has made it past 50 babies as just a young adult because I prioritized getting these two traits, which gave her a ton of free time to line up donors and care for the kids.
    2) I think gardening is one of the easiest ways to make a lot of money in the challenge. If you buy a few rare seed packets you'll get very expensive produce like dragon fruit that can end up netting you thousands a day from just a few plants. With the grocery stores in Cottage Living, you don't even have to level up to purchase the seed packets anymore, making this an even better way to get rich quick.
    3) I think it's worth painting a lot while maintaining your garden if you have Get Famous because that increases your fame, which eventually gives you the ability to "beguile" sims, which means you are only ever a 2-3 interactions from a first kiss and try for baby.
    4) Always have a bunch of romantic prospects lined up. Do dates at your own home so that you can continue having your kids build skills and take care of themselves while you're out. You can still do something special like fix a few drinks or cook a nice meal, even if you don't go to other venues. When your matriarch is in her third trimester and likely to give birth in the middle of the night when you can't invite a donor over, invite the donor over earlier in the day and then ask them to spend the night so you can wake them up for a try for baby interaction even in the wee hours.
    5) The baby dungeon doesn't have to be awful! I just make a nursery off of my matriarch's bedroom and lock the door to the rest of the family. No need to make it weird lol.
    6) If you play in a multi-story home, make sure the matriarch's bedroom, nursery, and toddler room are all on the ground floor. I like second stories to basically just be places for the kids to sleep. I also like to add a hallway around the staircase that has a door to it, that way, I can lock the door to my toddlers and they don't waste time going up and down the stairs at a snail's pace. A room that's dedicated to just skill building items is often worthwhile to add to larger homes too, but don't use mansions even if you can afford it. Sims move slowly and it really slows down game play in a 4-story mansion.
    7) If you really want to use as few matriarchs as possible, take it one baby at a time. Only move out one young adult at a time even if you have multiple in the house to avoid twins. You can keep your Sim constantly pregnant with a little time management if you're not going in spurts of 2-3 babies. Twins can really make gameplay difficult, but lots of people aim for frustrating game play when they take on this challenge. Also, if I have a child whose traits compliment the household, like neat, outdoorsy (if you're using gardening for income), family oriented, then I'll keep them in the household for months at a time helping around the house and move out their younger siblings with annoying traits like hates kids or slob ahead of them.
    8) Turn off aging for unplayed Sims and then mark your kids unplayed households after moving them out of the house! I hate when my matriarch and the whole family is sad about the death of her kids, and I personally find it annoying when my matriarch's kids are several life stages older than her. The game continues to generate new ugly townies, so IDK why anyone plays with aging on.

The number one easiest skill for teenagers is the basketball hoop. If you "dream big" three times, their fitness skill level is at three. I always do this as soon as they age up from kids so that they are ready for school "promotion"! Also, in case anyone doesn't know, to raise thinking skills in toddlerinos, just have them "watch" other sims. Nothing raises their thinking skill faster and saves so much time!

knitting carries over from child to teen and can be started immediately without maxing out base skills (and also increases the child's motor skills), but so can vampire lore and bowling (and pet training but might be irrelevant since there will be no room for dogs). My tip (even though I only have 26 kids so far lol) is to pick writing as the matriarch’s way of earning money. It only takes 4 hours to write a book, so you can do it while your kids are at school and your toddlers are skill building. Esp. in the early days when you don’t have many kids, you can crank out a few books and have a reliable income source. Plus, the better you get, the more you earn - I’ve had individual books earn me 600 simoleons a day for weeks.

*If you can fit it somewhere in the house (in the toddler dungeon for example) or right outside, the toddler slide gets their movement skill up to level 3 in about 5 slides, no joke its op and I love it
*when giving your kids skills, pick things that are easy to queue up many times, like monkey bars or drawing
*make your teens cook as many garden salads as possible - its food mom didn't have to cook, they can't burn the house down, gives them a skill for school
*if you're going to have a dollhouse, put it in a room thats locked for everyone but toddlers, otherwise your sims will cancel their tasks to autonomously play dolls all the time
*always have your mom's bedroom near babies, so she can solve their needs quickly and then go back to doing important things like sleep
*when you've built up money, items like the game consoles are great for skill building in multiple kids at once
*always have the kids experiment table outside, it will explode into flames at some point, I guarantee it
*if you have dine out, the heating lamps are a great way to keep your kids from freezing to death while doing activities outside (especially if they're living outside because you're trying to milk the microhome benefits while playing a full household)
*toddlers can walk through large dog doors, but older sims can't... I'm not telling you to treat your toddlers like dogs, I'm just stating a fact

  • @alixt.3090

If you make on of the lot traits “Needs TLC” at first, you can get handiness up to 4 faster. Then you can upgrade the drawing tablet to paint faster, and if you sell the paintings from the wall rather than from your inventory, you’ll gain fame. It’s also important to work on the world famous celebrity aspiration if you play this way so that you don’t lose fame. Then you can choose the instant BFF perk so that you can do a romantic BFF introduction, first kiss, try for baby, and move on with your life.
Also, earbuds in general are super helpful because they’ll keep your sims’ fun up while painting, writing, doing homework/projects, etc.

  • @szokeszasza

    Some other helpful tips:
    1. You can feed your toddlers any harvestable, which is way quicker than giving them plates of food.
    2. Also it is important to remember, that you can potty train them even if they don't need to go potty... I always do a potty training right after they age up, so they get a quick start on it.
    3. You can use the digitalistic sketchpad to paint, and if you have level 4 handiness skill you can upgrade it. It is much quicker, than using an easel, and you can queue up the interactions, so you can make 6-7 paintings in no time for really quick money :)
    4. I always do some upgrades on plumbing early on. Auto soap dispenser on sinks, and bidet on toilets gives your sims a happy moodlet, which can cover up some bad ones.
    5. Using moodlets to boost a skill gain is very helpful. Especially for toddlers. Make them happy for a boost in communication and thinking (feed them harvestables, or put the laser light show in their room and turn it on for instant happiness :) ), energized for movement (get exited on present pile from Seasons, or 'Take clothes off'), and playful for imagination (I didn't find an instant way for this... sometimes making silly face works).

(I'll also say the other things
Creative: piano/violin/guitar and I thing painting as well
    Mental: logic/gaming
    Social: charisma

Even though this is an older video, and before infants, still really good tips. I'll add one: Dance Machine trait for matriarch. A Disco nap is 2 sim hours and gives half a bar of energy. It's almost a full bar on a good bed. She's never slept a day in her life, and spends points on other goodies.
It can also breathe life into the challenge if you add a reason why you're making so many babies.
My current one is an albino living underground, because the world's atmosphere no longer serves protection from the sun, and people are dying off. Her special form of albinism has her uniquely suited for underground life, while the surface dwellers are doomed.. they need the light that's killing them.
So she's trying to pass her genes on, to bring in a new era of life.
Albino children will move into their own bunkers as adults, but non albinos will be sent to the surface when they grow up, and she'll hope they'll be stronger than the donors. She knows the future doesn't look good for them. She meets new donors only when the sun sets.

another good money making idea is to have your sim garden. Get them a snapdragon bush and then splice it with a strawberry bush and you will get dragonfruit and then just use the fruit to make a whole garden. It's worth the money of building a green house for this because each plant gives off thousands of simoleans. If you have Seasons you should put a bee box with your plants maybe even a couple. Not only will they improve the quality of your plants but you can also sell the honey for extra cash, as well as the honey comb (if you have Eco Lifestyle I believe). Just remember to get a good relationship with the bees before you try to hang out taking care of plants and make sure to keep up with the mite treatments 😂😂

and also if you use the kitting thing for kids like she was saying in the video, have your kids gift all the knitted goods to their mom and you can have her list it on Plopsy, or if you don't wanna do that use the multi-select option on their inventories and just quick sell it that way. The only difference is either like 20 simoleans right away or closer to 80 simoleans within a few days. I usually let everything go up on Plopsy either for a few sim days or until it un-lists and then I will quick sell it if it hasn't sold. It's a good side project way to get stuff done 😂😂

Today I started playing it, 8 sims born rn with 5 of them being teens/older, honestly tiny living HUGE advantage. I have a two tier tiny house which allows the skill boost and is so quick to age up the toddlers -and just anyone- and everyone sleeps inside! The trick? Do a second floor (or if you don't height your first floor) and put fake walks, honestly I have a "fake" second floor with the matriarch room and older kids room, a 2x2 bathroom (plus another tile for shower since I don't have university or snowy escape) and it's so good. I have most of the kids and toddler stuff outside in a garden play time zone, with rugs and all so it looks cute and the toddlers and kids can just hang out there. I am in the same dilemma if I shall ever make the house bigger, currently the baby dungeon is temporarily me locking the matriarch s room from everyone else lmao but yeah it's fun, I am trying to speed run it a bit 😅 since I tend to leave long gameplays. My goal is to make this matriarch have between 20-25 babies hopefully, with the help of some lot traits to have twins and triplets 😉.

a tip: im pretty sure pregnant sims are immortal. they cant die of hunger, they cant freeze to death, they cant die of fire. however your sim becomes mortal again once the baby is born. just a tip for when you only have annoying babies

I like to buy seeds and either plant them or directly open them and put them in the toddlers inventory! I find it way easier to just wake them up in the middle of the night when they are hungry, have them eat a couple of grapes or whatever and get them to sleep right away, is faster and easier! 😊❤

Other tips might be handy to use get the kids to do as much as they can kids can clean up plates or mop teens can cook repair and teach toddlers and you can get them to help eachother do the projects (I forgot you could buy the projects lol)
I find the electronic art pad (I think thats what it's called looks like a big tablet) is a lot quicker to gain the painting skill as you can stack up to 5 and just let your sim paint the finished paintings will be in your inventory
Use any aspiration points your teens have gained for potions for your matriarch before ageing and kicking them out has helped me out when a sim died and I needed my matriach to have another baby just can't use the youth one XD or buy the money tree if they have enough only had 1 child sim that had enough for it out of 55 lol
