i got the same labtop how do i know which ddr4 8 gig ram to buy for this? because some are alot more expensive then others

Hey, I bought 32 gb Crucial DDR4 - 3200 SODIMM, CT32G4SFD832A for MSI gf66. The package only has one chip of RAM 32 gb, I thought it would be 2x16.
Can I mix add the chip to one chip of 16gb. Or should I remove both and place the 32gb?

Regarding your question, you can have 16gba nd a 32gb, mixing will work fine without any issues, and you will still be getthing dual channel.

Are the 16Gb Modules DDR4 for this system, I have the MSI Katana GF76 11UD 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11800H. RTX 3050 ... want to go max ram so is 2x 16gb best or can I get a 2x32gb making it 64gb ?
check msi website says max is 64gb so up to you but either work
