@@PizzaFLIX Oh, I've already subscribed. Your channel is making my self quarantine bearable, Thanks!
@@Rawshella Glad I can help. Thanks for watching PizzaFLIX!
Couldn’t agree more Thank you Pizza Flix
Your dumb, non-funny comment is on par with this dumb, non-funny film.
I'm new to Hal Roach!! It's so Excellent to still have Awesome Firsts left in 2023, at 57 years ancient. Thank Pizzaflix. You made my 4th of July FANTASTIC!!!
When it comes to Zasu Pitts plan to have a delightful hour! She was such a wonderful actress, this entire cast are excellent at silliness and fun! Love these movies!
Hal Roach's comedy has really stood the test of time.
Love Hal roach movies!!! I’m loving this !!!!!
This distinctive old film stars one of my favorite actors, *Slim Summerville,* who passed away just 4 years after this movie. Slim had such an endearing way about him; he could evoke sympathy from the most hardened viewer.
Sorry about commenting twice, but this is one of the most humorous, creative, and heartwarming films I've ever had the pleasure to have seen. *Thank you for offering such family-friendly movies!*
Thank you for all the golden oldies that you have made available. Love it.
CLASSIC FILMS!
What wonderful fun this movie was! I smiled through the whole thing! Now my cheeks hurt!
♥️
The independent blonde talks a bit like a young Judy Garland
@ Jayne Campbell. Tom Brown’s acting reminded me a bit of Jack Lemmon.
@@jaynecampbell4396I was thinking she was Ginger Rogers for the first few seconds!!! Whoever she is, I'll keep her!! Great laughs 😂🎉❤
@@DH-ve5blI could see the Lemon likeness! 🎉😂
A warm and sentimental film from 1941. It's a lot of fun and an excellent comedy.
Hal Roach: its ALL about the clockwork timing. Brilliant.
Very silly but enjoyable. Ended weirdly.
This movie is so sweet. Thank you!
Another great movie lots of laughs. Thanks.
Always love Zasu Pitts, and it's hard to believe she was the female lead in Stroheim's classic drama GREED (1924) and made it all the way to IT'S A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD (1963). There's also a brief appearance by Dave Willock as the busboy. He was one of the most recognizable character actors in film and tv for decades, appearing in sitcoms and dramas, mysteries and sci-fi, although many of his screen appearances (as in this film) went uncredited.
Thanks for the great shoutout to Dave Willock, 181 film and television appearances, not including radio shows and writing credits.
At least he got a star on the Boulevard.
Don't forget Laurel & Hardy regular Charlie Hall as another bell boy :D
Thanx again, PizzaFlix!
This was great!
Since I adore Hal Roach comedies, I'm surprised this is the first time I'm seeing this one.
When I saw the title, instantly I heard the late great Three Stooges saying 'Niagara Falls. Slooooowly I turned . . . '
Classic routine!
This 'Niagara Falls' was such fun. Nice to see Zasu and Slim. They're always wonderful.
This is a new favorite for me. 😊👍
Thank you thank you thank you!
Love these short features. Modern movies take most of your day to watch and are not nearly as entertaining!
43 minutes of comic genius--that crazy Hal Roach.
Did he direct this? I am under the impression that Hal Roach is aimply the stidio and possibly producer.
@@jaynecampbell4396 He certainly did not direct this; the creative *Gordon Douglas* was the director.
This is an AWESOME laugh out loud jewel of a comedy that gets funnier with each viewing :D
Slim had the best line of the film at the very end~ "Too late!"
Enjoyable movie, indeed !
Many thanks for posting !
Thanks Pizza Flix! ❤👍This is hilarious ! Loved it !
Great, funny and relaxing movie! Thanks for posting
Love watching these olde romantic comedy’s,makes me laugh and cry at the same time!
In these old films people didn't speak up which caused the whole slap stick silliness. Never a down minute in this hilarious classic...👍
CLASSIC FILMS!
We have to go all the way back to 41 to get such a fun movie
What a sweet movie. So simple. Made me laugh, especially loved the shaking phone! LOL. The couple from Brooklyn too. "Sock'm in the kisser"...
Another one with Zasu and Slim. Tom Brown, Margorie W
I love Tom Brown. thank you for the movie!!
Funniest film I've seen today. Well worth watching a second or even a few times when one might be feeling a little low.
Just the kind of fun I needed. Very nice. Thank you.
Brilliant! Short, sweet, funny, and entertaining
😂. Loved it. Great ending. I didn't expect it.
I watched Miss Polly before this and didn't like that, this is far better.
@21:50. A bit of a contrived link between Producer Hal Roach and his leading stars Laurel and Hardy. The Honeymooning couple having dinner at the table are Margaret Roach, daughter of Hal Roach, and Rand Brooks, who later went on to marry Lois Laurel, daughter of Stan Laurel.
I enjoy watching this comedy very much with its romantic, humorous and hilarious plots and the film should be regarded as oldie but goodie!
Really dig these movie classic what I really like about these movies I love the props they're just classie the clothes the hair!!!!! I always thought it was cool to wear gloves and hats it was just a different time.. a smart looking time!!!!!!!!
In this day and age you can wear what you like!!!!!!!! Everybody else does. Why not you??????
@@653j521 I collected many felt hats from the 1940s and 1950s and I liked wearing them. My husband told me not to wear them because no one else does he he thought they were odd. Ended up divorcing him. Love me, love my hats.🤪
Such a clever story!
I agree... A very fun movie!
Thank you
i love Zasu Pitts, this is a really fun movie 🎥😊
lovely little film!
I liked the movie it even made me laugh 👍📽🎬 🇺🇸 🇨🇷😄🤣🤣
A fun movie. Love the ending.
Sweet. light, funny! One of the best!
Hal was such a genius of behavior.
Like I was saying🙄great movie and cast
Perfect ending 🤣🤣🤣
Love this movie.
Rumor has it that my great uncle Orville had once dated Miss Pitts 🤗
Who started that rumor? Orville?
My granny 🥰
Great movie loved it
She reminds me of Olive Oyl on Popeye lol
I heard they based Olive Oyl on Zasu Pitts.
Oops, few mins in not able to laugh since I have been there myself many times esp. with Beachy Head. Just recovering... shame as the last one Miss Polly was very funny and I like this man
EXCELLENT
Wonderful
Nice one, really funny
Love zazu .
they should have called it the last unicorn "oodles of children, no divorce"
I love it 💞😍 😂
I enjoyed this amusing film, but Roach did not know how to end it.
Cute!
What a great movie
Great movie 😃👍
Thank you..very entertaining
inaaya bint musab ''p
Such fun!
The ending was fine.
Smashing
観られてよかったです!
I love Zasu Pitts but this movie seems a waste of her talent. Just too silly for me but harmless fun.
I was watching an Austin Powers movie the other day and they had chickens in the middle of the road and a glass sheet and watermelon and they said they'll need it later in the movie - just like this one 😉.
It's a great comedic bit. I'd like to see that in Austin Powers.
That was Wayne's world 2 lol
This movie may be out of date.......but it sure is great! Zazu Pitts is not really that funny, so why do I always think she is so hilarious, I don't know, but I sure do know, I just love Zazu.
It's old, not out of date. Like you might be some day. :)
I have to repeat the ZASU Pitts story. Her name was being selected/argued/discussed. Each grandmother wanted her name selected
So..a compromise solved the problem.
Their names were :. eliZA & SUsan
It is ZASU...and she is very good in "So's Your Aunt Emma"
💚
😁😁😁😁😁😁
Back in the good old days when assault with a deadly weapon was funny. I seriously like the bathrobe he's wearing in the end. Where can I get one with that pattern? Cool!
Hal Roach comedy style was Roadrunner and Wiley Coyote. Nobody is actually hurt. Slapstick was Acme dynamite and falling off a cliff, meep, meep.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Zasu Pitts, 👍
Goodnight
SLOWLY I TURN !
leo powers I
Step by step, inch by inch....
❤😊
dont watch....unless desperate
😂😂😂😂😂😂
An infant film in the age of silver screen.
Very Funny anyway I Don t like the Ending ironic
How is it ironic? It is appropriate for slapstick. You end with a joke. It's like the two men carrying a plate glass window. You KNOW at some point window mayhem will ensue.
But the ending is not good.
I like movies that make me laugh. It's healthy. I'm looking forward to seeing this one. In general, it was fine except for some intimate parts that are not good for younger viewers.
Woodward was a hotty...
Do you think that young couple will be happily married for a long time ?
This is 1941 and in real life the actor flew off to WWII and Korea, as a paratrooper, and died of lung cancer at 77, and the actress died at 81 of undisclosed ailments, so I'd guess the characters would have done something similar. IMDB doesn't list marriages for her. He had two divorces, one before the military, one after, and three baby boom kids. My guess is their marriage wouldn't have survived the war. His second try ended when he was 40, so perhaps a bit like his character in thinking he did better unmarried.
I like many old movies but this one of Hal Roach was a real "Bomb".., stupid plot and a man threatening people with a gun is supposed to be funny?
Slapstick. Lighten up.
@@653j521 really! This is the reason that films fail today, society has become moronically insecure.

.
What the hell am up watching this movie?
Hal Roach was good but His Brother Herb Roach was better.
Archibald Leach was best
What a waste of Zsa Zsu Pitts
What is that?

Cute!
