As we approach the end of this show, we have 2 poll results to announce. The first being 'The Plan' will be watched AFTER the finale, as voted on by the fans. The second is to start new shows and not do Caprica. All these polls were very tight, but the people have spoken! Thanks to all who partcipated. Next up: We will be splitting the BSG slot into 2 shows as Joe leaves to accommodate introducing Beef and Eddie into their own respective reactions with Mikey and Mike ! More to come, the days will remain. One poll will be entirely Scifi related, Eddie's. The other is the remaining shows. I have put all the shows into a randomizer and we will be releasing an announcement video shortly with the options! Patrons get to vote on these starting NEXT week! Keep your eyes peeled!
I am really going to miss the reactions to this series once it is over. I have watched a few different channels react to this show, and yours has been my absolute favorite. I am also going to really miss Joe. But I saw his announcement video, and I totally get that real life issues take priority. Joe, I hope you get everything sorted out. Not sure what your beliefs are, but the power of prayer is undeniable, so I will offer some. I have not followed the channel outside the BSG reactions, so I will have to take a look and see what else you guys are watching that might interest me. Hopefully, there is other content I will want to watch because, again, I have been loving the channel. Keep up the good work. #joeisalwayswrong
Yeah, Laird... killing Laird honestly hurt. He was one of those purely good people, just doing his best. (Granted, depending on the belief systems, maybe he's at least with his family which was murdered by the Pegasus crew during his Shanghai'ing...) The story of Gaeta thru now- its wild, but it makes sense. He, like Dee, was there the whole time, doing the work, holding the ship and themselves together... but they both broke when Earth turned out like it did. They just took different paths- Dee wanted out, and Gaeta felt betrayed and wanted recompense... and as you've seen, there's a lot of people who felt like Gaeta. (Of course, given what he'd been doing for the last several years, he was in the perfect place to make it happen.) Tigh doesn't have "Cylon Strength"; remember, the "Final Five" never showed anything "super human" that Cylons can do, in the years/decades they've been among the Colonials. (Heck, the closest would be Anders- cuz, ya know, professional athlete- but even then, well within human norms) Its almost like the Earth Cylons are different...........
Laird ISNT dead. This is not a spoiler, but everyone (including the guy that hit him) misunderstood the situation. The whiteboard # is a reference to Private Jafee. Laird is pretty tough for a civilian, he'll be back
@@Sephiroth144 interview with Ron Moore states the whiteboard count was a mistake. Ment for Jafee. But he regrets changing the whiteboard in this case, bc Jafee hadn't died yet, and it led to some confusion about Laird.
It's subtle, but you can hear the soldier escorting Adama "please sir" when he protests. He either doesn't want to be part of the rebellion or he at least agrees with some of what Gatar is doing. The rebellion was doomed from the inside even at the start.
You can tell right away Gaeta doesn't have as much support as it seemed. A lot of crew were probably forced or pressured into supporting Gaeta's Mutiny.
This is one of the better (if not the best) use of second and third Tier characters since Crashdown and Kat . Bringing back third Tier characters from the Pegasus was just like ... "we know the fans will remember these guys from 2 seasons ago ... , even if no one else will " . Some would say "too much fan service" , but from my perspective it's the right way to do fan service . This isn't rubbing it in people's faces, it's tying up loose threads, some so loose that you might have forgotten about them altogether .
I was legit bummed when I saw that Racetrack and Skulls had sided against Adama, but Kara just shooting Skulls out of nowhere kind of made it better. A testament to how well layered and realized the writers made the secondary and tertiary characters. ALso, RIP Laird. Seemed like he was one of the few good crew from Pegasus. "This boy died honoring his uniform. You? You'll die with nothing." Bill the badass is back! Moore says this episode finally depicts what he's been wanting and teasing from the beginning. The fleet tearing itself apart and this episode we come damn near close to that. I loved hearing all the ships trying to get a hold of Galactica and calling for the president after she makes her speech. Forgot to mention this last week, but I think it sill applies this week; I love how casually it's revealed to both us and the other characters that Adama and Roslin are sleeping together. In the commentary Ron mentions that he spoke with Eddie and Mary about this and said they felt that the two characters have probably been sleeping with each for a long time now, as far back as New Caprica. However, Ron felt that this wasn't the case and the two only recently began sleeping with each other. He ultimately leaves it up to the viewer to decide what they like better. Curious what y'all think?
Adama and Apollo separating makes sense. They know Adama isn't going to budge or run away . Starbuck and crew needed to rescue Helo, Athena, Anders and 6. Thats why they split up.
the biggest flaw in the plan of the rebels - the legendary and well-deserved reputation of Adama! if they had at least a little brain, they would have executed him on the spot.
From "I don't care about any of this." to "Best episode ever, hands down." in minutes. You're running out of time to recognize the quality of the writing and quit being surprised by it.
Spot on. Mike was completely indifferent to the idea of a mutiny story line last episode. Saying it was just 'filler' to take up space until the final story line. When he said it, a huge grin fell over my face, knowing full well the mutiny arc was both necessary to the overall story and executed on an S tier level. Maybe some of what happens after feels a bit like filler. But definitely not this. This is drama at its finest. And it pleases me to no end that Mike was the first to appreciate it. Adama, from the hip is pure gold.
hehehe spoilers... . . . this one is wicked good, i have a different view of geata after that other eps, without it i thought he was just a racist PoS...
Can anyone tell me what the !^%@ is the big whispered secret between Gaius and Gaeta?? I assume calling back to what Gaius whispered to Gaeta pre-trial before he stabbed him? I watched the series many times and I still have no idea? Surely it's not just the perjury at his trial but something bigger?
Yeah - like other people are saying bits of, Gaeta accidentally gave the cylons a list of high-value targets thinking the Sharon he was sleeping with would protect them. Instead, they were used for the execution warrant. He’s overcompensating for that here, as well as with his perjury at the trial.
@@l33tspaniard Disagree- its the culmination of his story from the entire series, where he's been the loyal soldier, doing everything he needs to do- and then Earth being a dead end, losing that hope; and now the man he's followed (nearly literally) thru hell is now integrating with the same people who genocided their people? FotE essentially cemented it- but he was broken as was Dee, but went a different way from his fracturing. (Sure, stupping one of them is one thing- especially that particular model- but making the Cylons PEOPLE, and putting the future directly in their hands, especially after the last three years?)
A lot of people are gonna die in the next 8 episodes. I don't remember who but like, most of the cast I'm pretty sure. Just maybe not next episode. Just saying, not a spoiler. There's still a whole lot of stuff left to happen between now and the end even after this little arc ties up. That ltitle phone call between Baltar and Gaeta where he says "I want you to stop this" was one of the scenes in the audio teaser before season 4.5 came out and it was wild, we had no idea what the hell was going to happen and they did a great job of building the anticipation.

Skipping Caprica is a bad idea. Watching CLASSIC BSG should still be on the table.

Gives a whole new meaning to Gaeta's earlier episode "Face of the Enemy", eh? :p
