Life experiences during the honeymoon phase have a lot to do with how long the honeymoon phase last 🤷‍♀️ in my experience 🤷‍♀️ There is probably a, roughly, 4-month gap between Xander and Anya getting together and Buffy and Riley meeting. Then it also took a while between meeting Riley and actually getting together with him. Then add in the additional questions and insecurities.... Anya and Xander have insecurities within themselves but not so much with each other at this point(although their insecurities within themselves do sometimes get in the way). Buffy and Riley still haven't seemed to overcome their personal insecurities to be able to deal with any relationship insecurities yet... The whole Faith thing didn't help matters 🤷‍♀️

I think one of the things that motivated Wesley to take the actions he did was that Buffy and Giles shut him out. Possibly, if they had approached him with what happened and included him on their plan, he might have gone along with it. But by excluding him, he felt his authority had been challenged, and he had to assert it the only way he knew how.

Angel's diagnosis of Faith wasn't 100% correct, but he was reaching her.

Great question, Mike! Why no one is mentioning Tibet anymore?! They would have to boycott China because of their brutal conquest, annexation and occupation of Tibet in 1950. Speaking out against it wasn't a problem until China got more and more powerful in the 21st century. Now no one dares to offend them anymore because of TikTok, Taiwan and all kinds of cheap imported stuff coming from there...

Faith attacking Xander was about doing something unforgivable. She feels like she is not worthy of being helped. And since the others are trying to help her, she is doing an unforgivable act, so they will stop trying to help her.

Buffy's overcompensating with adopting Faitha lifestyle comes right on the heals of Buffy taking the test on her 18th birthday. She is doing this in part as a rebellion of how she worked with the Watchers before.

Notice that when Buffy is confronting Faith at the end, Faith is washing her shirt. Washing out the blood. But the shirt is already clean. This is an illusion to MacBeths wife who is washing and washing her hands, but the blood never washed out (in her mind) that is a sign that Faith does feel guilt and remorse for the life she took.

The fun thing that the trivia is so well known that you've already been told about the rain before someone who worked there could tell you. LOL If the gun worked, Angel was pointing at her leg. He wasn't intending to kill. I don't think Faith admitted to herself she wanted to die until she said it outlook. I bemueve the torture was intended as we see it. She was fighting Angel and not winning, then didn't want to fight anymore, immediately followed by the weight of the year overwhelming her.

Faith's experience as Buffy allowed her to see the past actions for what they were, and she feels she is beyond redemption. This parallels Angel's reaction when his soul was returned.

Castle has a lot of great cameos and references to Firefly. Resident Alien starring Alan Tudyk does as well. Nathan Fillion and Gina Torres were the voice actors for main characters in the game Destiny and Destiny 2.

Faith has hated herself either from the point of killing Allen Finch, but possibly longer than the audience has known her. The end of this episode beautifully shows her breaking down in front of Angel as she has none of front she puts up left to give.

Angel holds back for the same reason that Superman holds back. If he goes full-out, the collateral damage would be more than he could account for.

Angel's comment would never have entered the record because he's neither an attorney, a witness, nor a judge. However, the judge would have rapped his gavel and instructed the jurors to disregard Angel's statements.

this episode still brings a tear to my eye at the end. and shows how this show can stand side by side with buffy show as equals
