Thanks for the fun!! I have chosen two Flex5's. One has the Ryzen 7 4000 series and the latest is the Ryzen 7 5000 series with the updated wifi 6 etc. I too think that ports are important and would not restrict myself by complicating hookups. I purchased an additional barrel type 65 watt charger which works on both laptops. I'm super happy with the old Ryzen 7 4000 series so the updated 7 5000 series will be just that much more. I also prefer the 14 inch as opposed to the larger screens. Traveling is so much more enjoyable with the 14's so even in your other comparison video with the 15.6 HP that also won the challenge, I would still choose the 14 inch flex 5 hands down for the connectivity, size and weight. I do pine for the upgraded "C" connector with added video support but at the same time I realize that LENOVO did some cost cutting measures around the laptop to keep the cost affordable while offering the high performance, exactly what I was looking for and many others also as when these come on sale, they don't last long. Also LENOVO could have installed the latest BlueTooth instead of the waning 5.0. These are the snappiest laptops I've owned so I am happy.
@sushant3179 I have a Flex 5 and have many problems. Sound goes out and stops working so I have to shut the entire computer down and restart it to get the sound to work again. The computer "crashes" or shuts down suddenly and I don;t know why, a lot of the keys on the keyboard stopped working so now I have to have an external keyboard plugged in. The mouse pad popped out so now I have to use an external mouse. The ports on the side of the laptop have cracked and broken so when I plug something in, I have to be really really careful not to break it more. I don't move the laptop around a lot, It either sits in my bedroom or on the kitchen table.
Thanks for the decent and knowledgeable sharing. Liked both, but the main and bottom point is that RAM is not upgradable. I believe it’s soldered. If one wanted to upgrade in coming time to more RAM, we can’t. Please do share , create video with upgradable Laptop machines , will be a great help. Thanks

I just wanna buy an anti glare screen guard for lenovo ideapad flex 5 16inch which I can't find in online. can I purchase screen guard of yoga 7i 16 inch for my laptop?
By reading the Specifications, already knew the Yoga 7i display was much better. The chassis flex 5 being hybrid of aluminum and plastic and the yoga all aluminum. so flex 5 will be lighter and not as toasty as there is less metal that will not retain the heat. The yoga will hold the heat longer because of the full metal aluminum case before dissipating it. Flex 5 has a smaller battery than the Yoga so that is usually a clear message as which laptop will have longer battery life performance per full charge which will be the Yoga. The Flex 5 is actually one level or tier below the Yoga 7i on the budget range so why are you comparing them. Flex 5 vs Yoga 7i Slim would have been a better challenge. Intel is more reliable than AMD as most AMD products have more Driver and BIOS problems than Intel. I believe the only good product released by AMD was the Threadripper forcing Intel to prematurely release their i9 cpus which nearly could have been the end of Intel because i9's weren't ready and had lack of support from component manufacturers in producing Motherboards and Graphic cards plus Drivers and the BIOS. Intel felt the hurt with the release of Threadripper. Okay, who has that kind of money for Threadripper anyways, being a large chip just looked weird as how will it or could it fit on a motherboard. Dell was in trouble just like Gateway and the long time ago Compaq computer until Dell picked up Alienware. HP bought Compaq. I would never ever buy a HP or Dell computer. Toshiba and Panasonic hopefully are long gone since they made terrible computers. ACER is good, Lenovo is okay, Razer is very good. I am not saying Apple is bad, however the price is steep for what you get and you could get almost two Microsoft / Intel computers of near performance ability that you pay for 1 Apple of near equivalent components.
@@hayderjawad2466 Good luck. Based on the visuals in this excellent channel, the Dark Moss is excellent looking without being flashy or common like the gray machines we find in the market. I'm getting 7i for myself soon.
Medium to heavy coding + heavy note taking with the pen. Which is better between Yoga 7i i7-1165G7 (16Gb RAM) and Flex 5 Ryzen 7 5700u (8GB RAM)? Overall Yoga costs 250 euros more but with a more solid build and 16 GB RAM it can last much longer? Is it worth the difference in price?
depends on what kind of software development platform you plan to use. Stuff like Android app development requires more RAM, so I would recommend a 16GB machine. Note taking experience is identical between both these laptops. The difference is primarily in the build quality
There is this new Lenovo yoga duet 7i which is a detachable, I have been following all ur videos and they are top notch. A video by you on yoga duet would be really helpful. Sure the battery is larger in the Yoga, but the cpu (at least of what I can find all around the internet) also uses more power. Or well, it CAN - most likely will - use more power. But of course the cpu is also better. I'm talking more specifically about the Flex 5 and Yoga 7 NOT Intel
Hi,I have a question. I am not a designer,I am not fan of high quality colors actually I don't care of that. I know that Yoga has better display but, I don't need that at all. Also I don't need good sound, I will not listen music with that, I don't need it to be full aliminium. But what I care about is performance. I will use the computer for note taking which is why I am lloking for 2in1. I can buy a tablet but I just need to take notes why to buy another stuff for that. Mainly I will use it for research and VMs. I am using kind of home lab,not a great one just some VM's for learning. But I need computer to handle them, while VMs are running I need to google something open a lot of tabs and it should be not to get freeze or crash. I am not a gamer so gaming stuff is not important. Also it need to to be portable and durable I want it to use a least 5 years. I will choose 16 RAM and 256 or 512 GB SSD. Probably CPU will be Ryzen 5.( I am not going with i models because as you said on other video Ryzen has better performance). So there is 3 question, first of all is 256 SSD is enough?Or should I look for 512?Another question is,of course Ryzen 7 is more expensive, also it hard to find on local stores (on my counrty, people mostly likes intel),should I try to find Ryzen 7 or I can go with Ryzen5? The last question, both Yoga and Intel provides same ram,ssd and cpu options. Based on what I said in the beginning, based on my usage areas should I extra pay for Lenovo Yoga or Ideapad Flex is good enough for me? Is there extra performance thing on Yoga with same ram ssd and cpu? Sound stupid, I know but I just want to be sure before buying. Because I have limited budget but I don't want to wate my money and regret about computer and buy again...

I'd disagree with you there. I think this video makes it easier for someone to make the decision of either buying the cheaper or the more expensive one depending on what they value on a laptop. For example for a graphic designer the 7i might be worth the extra money for the better display but a general user might stick to the cheaper one so the comparison makes it easier for someone to know what each of those laptops is good for. That's my view.
While it's very evident that Yoga 7i is premium product compared to Flex 5i, and the video clearly covers the differences, not mentioning the price difference, looks like comparing apples to oranges.

Hi sir, I love your description of laptops. I have checked the prices and got confused between "Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 15, 11th Gen Intel Quad-Core i5-1135G7, 8GB RAM 512GB SSD and "Lenovo Flex 5 14" 2-in-1, AMD Octa-Core Ryzen 7 5700U, 16GB DDR4, 512GB PCIe SSD". I will pick Yoga 7i
price difference is quite big. review asus flipbook 14 also sir.
You have missed the price of the two
Thank you! Your video was very informative.

@@RealTechnoPanda Awesome! You are the go to guy for convertibles. I love your videos. Thanks!
Best review i have ever seen good job sir.
Hi sir,
I love your description of laptops. I felt comfortable about the design yoga, But the price is higher. So is it okay to go with i5 11th gen YOGA (or) lenovo flex 5 AMD Ryzen 7 5700.
I want best 2 in 1 laptop for my masters, to take notes and do assignments.
For taking notes and assignments, lenovo flex 5 AMD Ryzen 7 5700 is an excellent choice
What's the current price of flex 5 ryzen 7 5700u?
$650 for Flex Ryzen 7 Vs $550 for Yoga 6 Ryzen 7 (both with 16gb RAM and 512 gb ssd), which one would you choose?
For long term Lenovo will be worthy?
yes

Thanks for a great video, you really helped me to make a decision on my purchase. I was as looking to buy IdeaPad 5i 15.6 inch, but thanks to you just ordered Yoga Slim 7i. Just hope all the info still apply to 15.6 " size. Thanks again 😄
by the way, the yoga *slim* 7i is actually not a 2-in-1 convertible laptop like the devices mentioned in the video, just felt like pointing that out because Lenovo's similar branding can be confusing at times lol
@@AV-ue3bi are any of the yoga series 2 in 1s?
Flex5i because of the ports.
try yoga 9i
Lenovo yoga 7i
Yoga come with a usb hub in the box lol
hi panda...
