I love Blind Dating with Chris Pine- He's a blind Italian American who meets Leeza, an Indian woman, at his doctor's office. After some awkwardness they fall for each other but with one main problem: She has already been promised to an Indian man per an arrangement between their families. Also, Danny (Chris Pine)'s best friend in the movie is African American so when all three families get together it gets pretty interesting! (I probably didn't phrase that the best.. but It's a great movie!!)
My Top are the Cinderella movie with Brandy and Whoppi and Whitney Houston in it (White king, black queen, their Asian prince who marries a black woman?!?) and Bridge to the Sun (based on a autobiography from the wife's perspective of her relationship with her Japanese husband during WWII)
0:08 "The Hundred-Foot Journey" was absolutely my fav!I watched it for the first time in French class. Such a beautiful, heart-warming film about a aspiring chef from India.
I'm sorry, I think it's so so great that interracial couples are becoming big in the entertainment industy but I just can't help noticing that the majority of these couples have at least one white partner in them. Like, it always has to be _____ race and white person. Of course I am not hating on interracial relationships involving Caucasians and I think it's great, I just think we also need to include other interracial combinations as well.
I concur. Would have been great to see some queer couples on this list too? I also have a problem with the inclusion of Tony and Maria from West Side Story given that Natalie Wood, the actor who played Maria, isn't even Puerto Rican, she was the child of Russian immigrants. A different type of white you might argue, like Toula and Ian from MBFGW but doesn't make up for the white washing in my mind -_-
Ari Lewis I noticed that too! Like, having two white people from different countries does not count as "interracial" in my mind. I feel like to some people we are making so much progress, but there's still a lot of inclusivity that needs to be happening that a lot of people aren't recognizing.
It does say intercultural though, not interracial... I definitely agree with the points being made here, but it is worth noting that the focus of the video is elsewhere.
Aurora Borealis Well, I guess the intention of these films is showing people who would go as far as pleasing their partner's family engaging on their traditions to show they care about the heritage their partner's so proud of (because this films are focused on 'culture pride' )
Yeah. But in my country is very tradition and some family don't let their kid marry with someone who is different culture. If I love someone I don't let someone take me that just beacuse he belive in other God or Gods. I want to rescepet him religion of course he must rescept mine too.

Elie Dei grandmother willow tells/sings her to listen with her heart and she will understand. note when she speaks to John Smith the song plays and then she replies in English
Because she's American! Just kidding. Because it's a kids movie and they were too lazy to teach the actors a very rare dialect of Native American language would be my guess.
You don't pick your color or the love of your life. That's what I told my mom when she had a problem with me and my husband because I'm Indian and he is German.
Bri C I don't have anything against Stockholm syndrome but I don´t like the fact they made a love story out of a genocide, so yeah that´s like the example you provided PS: Let's not forget she ends up with the other guy in Pocahontas 2
In fact most Puerto Ricans are of pure European (mostly Spanish) descent not like Mexicans for example who are mostly Mestizo (Mix of Native Americans and Europeans). So Puerto Ricans are also mainly "white". In fact around 75.8 % of the Puerto Ricans are pure European and therefore "white". Spanish people are Caucasian just like all other Europeans so all "white people". Most Puerto Ricans ain't mixed like most in most Latin Americans countries (Except for Argentina which population is also mostly pure European). There haven't been that much Native Americans left on the Island so no typical Latino mixing.
Phoenix Ro yeah, I don’t know where you got that information from, but that’s bullshit. We actually prefer saying we come from Taínos and Africans, than saying we come from colonizers, known as Spaniards
Bodyguard, with Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner is NOT an "intercultural" movie. It has an interracial romance and more importantly, it has a massive difference in social-standing between the two leads, what with Whitney being a famous singer and Kevin being well, her bodyguard. That's not being intercultural; that's being inter-societal.
I feel like penny and seaweed should've been on this list even tho they aren't the main couple in hairspray they were the only interacial couple in the movie

Lee Steal What's the identity problem? I'm mixed too. I hope your son understands that he doesn't have to pick sides. You don't have to be more of one race than the other. You're equally both and an individual.
You should probably know that in real life Pocahontas was about 12 and John smith a full grown adult, historical they were not romantically involved. She married an Englishman and became lady Rebecca Reynolds x
Her desendant wrote a book about her and says Pochahontas was in love with John Smith, and he with her but he didnt do anything inappropriate with her. They saw each other years later, after she married John Rolfe, and she was so overwhelmed she couldnt say anything to him
gambit85 Mojo do say 2001 in the caption/chyron so they Do know, they Did google. perhaps the actor's noteriety came from the 90s, like other collabs maybe. Also my sister is more a 90s kid than me since she was born in 1988 & I was only 6 at the time but she was absolutely GAGA over this film. So age-group wise of nostalgia "the 90s" is fitting. Also I don't even remember the gist of the 00s being established until like 9/11 & 2002 onwards anyways. My interracial equivalent in middle school like 2009 was "Perfect Chemistry" by Simone Elkeles, but I was in 8th grade by then going into high school, so still (my middle school had a bunch of Hispanic students. My sister went to the same school, but when it got founded & she was in 7th grade then when this movie came out.) Point being: 90s applies!
I really liked Corrina, Corrina. I like the way it portrays the bubble in which love can develop when you know people privately and at the same time how aware they are of the limits when suddenly in public.

still wondering how Pocahontas learned to speak fluent English.
With The power of The wind
exactly, and in an american accent too.
with lazy story writing
Damn, I felt so alone after watching this, but found it so beautiful :-)
Louise Defontaine
Love is disease
Louise defontaine I just want u to know ur not alone anymore ur really not and I'm really sorry u feel that way I really am
Louise delfontaine if u ever wanna talk sometime u can always talk to me ok I really mean that from the bottom of my heart
You don't pick your color or the love of your life. That's what I told my mom when she had a problem with me and my husband because I'm Indian and he is German.
A Bronx Tale is one of the best movies! It reminds me of my relationship so much, so cute 😭😍
2:08 even the bus driver was checking her out 😂
im a moroccan girl (light skin brown) and i am in love with a british white but my parents wont allow it because of my religion:(
I feel some type of way about Pocahontas. It's like making a movie about a jew falling in love with their Nazi captor.
I'm rather glad you brought that up. Pocahontas had a great soundtrack but it's sugar Coated to suit sensitive people
Bri C Well, technically speaking, that could have happened. I mean, Stockolm syndrome?
Bri C I don't have anything against Stockholm syndrome but I don´t like the fact they made a love story out of a genocide, so yeah that´s like the example you provided
PS: Let's not forget she ends up with the other guy in Pocahontas 2
In reality, Pocahontas was 13 years old, taken captive and raped. Its pretty gross to call it a great romance
Bri C which probably happened. 😑
West side story was about love between two different people. Sadly Maria was played by a white female playing a Puerto Rican. Sad
Rita Moreno played Anita, Natalie Wood was Maria.
They should remake West Side Story with actors and actresses that are same races/ethnicities as the characters ( if they haven't already)
@@caprilo they're doing the live broadway thing with West Side Story this year. The girl playing Maria is Latina.
I'm so glad "Something New" at least got an honorable mention. It is one of my favorite movies. But I still think it should have been on the list.
"Fools Rush In" with Matthew Perry and Salma Hayek one of my favorite movies!
I had the highest expectations I thought Bodyguard would be #1 😒
OMG yes, how could they forget it?
anna_filipi I was literally like "Ha Bodyguard is definitely #1" but nope 😒
OMG YES!!! not even an honorable mention though....
Bodyguard, with Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner is NOT an "intercultural" movie. It has an interracial romance and more importantly, it has a massive difference in social-standing between the two leads, what with Whitney being a famous singer and Kevin being well, her bodyguard. That's not being intercultural; that's being inter-societal.
he was country and she was R&B - that's two different worlds!
Intercultural or interracial?
HeyLexxxie ikr
+Caitlin Kelly exactly what I was thinking!!
right!
Ikr
i thought that too. but they probably changed it just to include big fat greek wedding on the list.
The 100-foot journey, A walk in the clouds and The sleeping dictionary will always be many of my favorites.
bend it like Beckham was probably the movie that made me love romance movies so much😭😭😭😭
Cinderella and Prince Charming from the Rogers and Hammerstein version. They were so good together and absolutely loved each other!
love is beautiful and should be treasured♡♥
Romeo Must Die Asian and Black that was. too beautiful.
lisa houghton they didnt have a romantic relations together, which really sucked.
malaika tori the main characters were suppose to kiss at the end but the director took it out because it was "to awkward".
That movie was great.
*But asshole test audiences were too racist to accept them as a "real" couple, so the movie edited out from their full story!!!*
lisa houghton too bad the audience was racist, so the entire movie was scraped.
I feel like penny and seaweed should've been on this list even tho they aren't the main couple in hairspray they were the only interacial couple in the movie
Interracial couples are so interesting
In all these relationships, the girl is beautiful. It’s not love that conquers all, it’s beauty.
Not even an honorable mention for Alex and Isabel from Fools Rush In? :(
Digital Bean that was a great couple!
Digital Bean I loved them! They should have been at least on Honorable Mention :3
I know right!!! They should have made the list, that film is great and I love their relationship
Yes!!! I was just about to comment that, too! Definitely should've made it on the list
Right?
Angela Bassett and Ralph Fiennes in Strange Days
I love that movie.I have it on dvd.
My whole life is that kiss at the end of the movie!
Hooray for interracial love! ❤️️
no thanks!
***** Oh no Tanner doesn't approve of interracial love, what will we all do?? The world will end! *gasp
mzspargo
would you, please?
***** Would I what? Your comment makes no sense.
Horray for love regardless of skin color
I'm Mexican and my husband is American. Been together 10 years💚💚 now we have a 3 year old boy.
Being in an interracial relationship myself, I REALLY appreciated this list!
Bronx Tale is my movie
Cplay Fan
I love the part in a Bronx tale when Jane said you lied to me you just told me you weren't there!!! That was so cute!!! She snapped I loved that I would have went off too!
but seaweed and penny...
"In my ivory tower life was just a Hostess snack, but now I've tasted chocolate and I'm never going back!" :)
Cheryl Bunyan lmao yesss
The couple from Brooklyn could have made an honorable mention. Loved their story
I love that Eleanor and Chidi are interracial but that fact was never mentioned in the series. It was just seen as normal love.
Personally i have no problem with interracial couples. In fact do you lived your life follow your heart.
What about Aaliyah and Jet Li in Romeo Must Die??? Lol
weirdopers0n and the bodyguard
weirdopers0n
Yh this one too nice 👍
They never kissed
Romeo Must Die or The One. And if they mention Pocahontas I don't know why they couldn't mention the Princess and the Frog.
LOL
I wish you'd at least mentioned Terrence Malick's A New World when talking about John Smith and Pocahontas. Phenomenal and beautifully-shot film. But thank you for including Something New.
Jennifer Mathis you just stole my line! Fantastic and underrated movie!
If a parent ever beat me like that, we'd be DONE! Something New, I must have seen that movie about 100 times.
Love that movie
The Disney Channel remake of west side story is called Teen Beach Movie. Pocahontas actually had fell in love with John Rolfe, that actually made me alive.
I'm biracial (black and Indian) and I love me some white guys lol. Keep on mixin'! =)
yay spot on me too💅let's make some latte and cappuccino s
Mixed babies 2018!
Rene Simmons, I’m Indian, (from India) and my husband is black. We have a 17 year old son and a 12 year old daughter. I have always dated outside my race, but I would love to talk to you so I can help my daughter if she ever has questions later on when she dates. We live in a predominantly white neighborhood but my babygirl holds her own! I hope you’ll reach out! By the way, just your words shows you’re gorgeous on the outside and the inside, keep spreading your beauty to the world!
I'm mixed but people just consider me Indian. My son is mixed and he is going through such a terrible identity crisis. I feel for him.
Lee Steal
What's the identity problem? I'm mixed too. I hope your son understands that he doesn't have to pick sides. You don't have to be more of one race than the other. You're equally both and an individual.
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers 💋💋💋😍😍😍😍😍😍
Pocahontas is actually disgusting cause Pocahontas is actually 12 in the movie and he's like 24 or something
12 in actual history but not in the movie, they aged her up so they could have a romance. I grew up loving that movie.
Nit in the movie no one os that tall amd 12
She actually married John Rolfe at age 17-18, and died at 20-21. Her only part was to warn Smith of an attack.
well said Denzel!
why would anyone question these marriages?! to me, there are the best kind of couples 😊😊😍😍😚😚
I can't explain how much I love that you used the word "intercultural" and not "interracial"
there's also Dulé Hill (Sam) and Patricia Arquette (Miss Kate) in the movie Holes
Can yo please do top 10 teen tv series! This video was awesome ❤️
www.watchmojo.com/suggest
oh tnx
It pisses me off that In the part 2 of Pocahontas, she left with another guy. Depressing :(
But thats what happened with the real Pocahontas back then.
TonyRedgrave1501
Yes, and then they divorced
Lilian A֒P֒P֒L֒E֒M֒I֒X֒I֒E֒P֒I֒E֒ watch New World. You'd be glad she never ended up with John Smith.
They saw each other years later, after she married John Rolfe, and she was so overwhelmed she couldnt say anything to him
Just finished a Bronx Tale and absolutely loved it! The interracial dating wasn't the main plot.
A BRONX TALE
MISSISSIPI MASALA
are dope films and beautiful to look at.
Loving a Black woman is a revolutionary act.
"90s couple?" um "Save the Last Dance" came out in 2001!!! Come on MOJO, it's called Google.
gambit85 i laughed so hard at this 😂😂
Aesthetically, the 90's didn't end until like 2004.
gambit85 so damn true, google is like a god now
gambit85
Mojo do say 2001 in the caption/chyron so they Do know, they Did google.
perhaps the actor's noteriety came from the 90s, like other collabs maybe.
My sister went to the same school, but when it got founded & she was in 7th grade then when this movie came out.)
Point being: 90s applies!
gambit85 LMAO !!!
My Last Day Without You should have at least been an honorable mention and yes it's on Netflix
Omg, I saw “Bend it Beckham” in 7th grade in my Spanish class.
Catfish in A Black Bean Sauce is an underrated movie. Black and Asian couple
I really liked Corrina, Corrina. I like the way it portrays the bubble in which love can develop when you know people privately and at the same time how aware they are of the limits when suddenly in public.
