9 year old Jon Vetle wins his Pro muay thai debut - this kid trained hard 2/3 times a day, showing dedication and true passion for the sport. Under the guidance of Kru Robert Lek - young Jon learnt alot of his muay thai skills, his wai kru and his class.
Fantastic job from Jon Vetle and thankyou to FrontLine Muay Thai in Norway for sending out young Jon! Спорт
This kid is blessed to be able to live out the dreams of many. Good job my little dude 👍
9 ขวบ ทำได้ขนาดนี้ ผมในฐานะคนไทยขอชื่นชมครับ คงเก่งมากๆในอนาคต
that head kick at 6:34 was perfect
Exactly. He wanted to fulfil his ambitions and he was lucky enough to have parents who encouraged him. I'd do exactly the same for my kids. it's no more dangerous than many other sports and it teaches discipline and self-discipline. I may be old-fashioned, but I think that is good.
He has learned the technique and to be humble. What a great fight, I hope he becomes a great Nak Muay!
Future Champion in the making,he'll end up in MMA ,kickboxing or K-1 if it's still around in 15years..Or wherever the big money is...
really good to hear this.. I hope to hear great things about John in the near future
These small dudes are amazing O: Almost better than me technically and I'm 20... wish I knew about muay thai earlier and had parents that supported me ):
9 years !!!!!!!!!
John is 10 years old now and still training and fighting.
Im his trainer in Norway an d he has a fight the 15 of feb 2013 and fights for the ISKA jr European title the 9 of march.
He has now also earned a black belt in Taekwondo and also trains BJJ.
I will upload a lot more videos of him in the near future.
This boy is training 2-3 times a day and there is no stopping him....he does this of own will, and loves it more than anything.
NORGE
EXCELLENT FIGHT BRAVO JON.....
my goodness....Jon is amazing!
It's the same for muay thai... They won't really hurt each other with this kind of strenght.
P.S. check out 11:40 in the video for the spinning back kick that rocks the opponent
This kid is good, lot of nice moves.
The Wai Kru is a form of respect to trainers, Gym and the sport - you dont have to be born in a certain country or certain race to do this.
I know it is a form of respect to the trainers, don't misunderstood me this kid is awesome, but I think the wai kru is for the thai people :)
Jon has amazing talent,he can do it all take opponents apart with kicks and punches and can Brawl too as we saw it in Round 5,Great foot work and kicking technic!!!Although If I may say something and please don't misunderstood me I don't try to be a smart ass!The one thing I would tell him as a coach is to get used to keeping his left hand up coz he's vulnerable to the Right Hook and straight righ, especially when he's moving foreward!Thank you great videos keep'em coming!!!
Will there be more parts of the documentary?
Wish my parents showed me what muay thai was when i was that young
never too late
Watched the documentry so happy for the kid
Fantastisk morro å se på :)
Wow...i was worried about him when i saw him hitting pads in the documentery. He looked pretty average, but he really did great and showed plenty of ring know how and skill. I think he surprised eberyone with that great spinning back kick. Bright futer for him if he keeps it up....next Dekkers!
Where can I buy the soundtrack?
🤣🤣😂😂
Respect
Popwarner Tackle Football start much earlier than 9 in the States.
When will Milek fight? Jon did very well. I wish I could come train with you guys. I love Muay Thai!
That kid is skilled, disciplined, and focused!
And in shape, you are prob eating fast food, typing and judging!
Do the math!
The little Norwegian kid is pretty good, but I still think I could beat him. But at 6 foot 1" and 220lb you'll never see the fight because some people will say it's 'unfair'.
That has nothing to do with what he said, he said Rugby AFL NHL NFL, and 7 year olds in pads as heavy as them is an almost no injury "sport"
why is the norwegian kid doing the wai kru? :S
@badass76ta as opposed to rugby / AFL / NHL / NFL or sports that are proven to have more injuries and more brain impact ???
The next Ramon Dekkers
no
@PhuketTopTeam exactly!!! you take less head trauma in muay thai than those other sports..people dont realize this is mostly damage to the body and legs which heal quickly anyway
almost like watching Ramon Dekkers as a 9 year old
Norge ! Norge !
agreed i hope he does well with his muay thai cause from first hand experience it will make him respectfull, humble and be in the best shape of his life where all his friends will probably end up with diabeates from to much sugar and junk well done jon good luck
The Music is part of Muay Thai!Without it it isn't even real. Now they play the music everywhere around the World during Muay Thay tournaments! I couldn't even watch Muay Thai without it!!! Mind as well watch K-1 Kick boxing!! If you appreciated the spiritual part of Muay Thai than you would appreciate the Music!!! But I guess Muy Thai isn't for everyone!
Respekt!!! Stå på Lille Viking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Han er fantastisk
Han er fantastisk
@ITALOCAMPEON exploitation ? the kid asked his parents for xmas present to fly him to Thailand so he could fight, since its banned to do any pro boxing, muay thai or mma in Norway.
Wait till he's 19
Chang beer best in world.
one b.a. lil kid
They should call him Baby Dekkers!
No the sport allows any race to respect there trainers
Awesome little dude!
His hard training and dedication is most likely gonna give him more befits in life then "hurt the little poor kid" like all the whiners say.
9 år til, litt pubertet og en dæsj bi og quadriceps og vi har en UFC champ i Norge.. UFC OsLo 2022..
what you are saying, how do we know it is true, haha? Great fight, kid got potential.
Plenty of non Thai fighters do a Wai Kru.....
how do u know he is even going to do mma
Hate it or love it, white boy has got game.
He trains over in Thailand, so whats the problem, any body can do it..
you misunderstood him ahaha he clearly says you dont need to be born in a certain country or be of a certain race to do this
T5o me these are great Parents! I think the parents who feed their Kids with McDonald Garbage and Candy Bars, and let their Children sit front of Computers and Games all day are the Irresponsible bad Parents,These guys are great. They made their Boy's dream come through! I bet you this kid will be a Star if he stays with it and it 's coz of his Parents! You just keep raising your kid your way but don't judge others coz they're different than you're!
jozsefkacsa i bet you he didn’t chooss this sport himself and his parents decided it for him also yeah muay thai training is good for you but at this age getting kicks to the head is very bad for development and a dumb idea from the parents
Grown men know the consequences. Little kids don't, why would you risk your kids health? When hes 18 have at it.
I think if the kids want to do it, let them. No worse than playing football...and I doubt they are fighting every week. Hard sparring in training is where the damage all the complainers are worried about would come from, which is why I am sure they use headgear and such for sparring.
I bet he gets all the girls
And what age do you get into the AFL NHL or NFL? Not fucking 9.
problems with their legs most of the time
too bad youre a keyboard warrior and this kid is a real life warrior...
fair play to the kid it was his dream i suppose you would be happier if he was sat infront of xbox stuffing his face getting unhealthy and fat
No it's not if the kid wants to be a fighter, better find out in an Early age what it is to take a punch and a kick!!!.I'm sure this kid want to be a Muay Thai fighter,I don't believe his parents forcing him to be one And yes I looked it up he asked his Parents as a Christmas Present! I think the Parents are great they realize that even a 9 yr old Child can have Dreams.Ppl like you are just talking shit! There are no Child ever seriously hurt in any Combat Sport!
Why would he lie?? Do you really believe that the Kid's Parents are forcing him to go to Thailand and Fight pro?So they can take the the 2000 Thai Baht he made which is about 65 dollars? And they paid 5000 dollars for Plane ticket for the family plus training and room and board!Yeah that makes sense!
I agree with the whole brain damage thing; his career is over by 18. Then he'll have to live that way.
+SEXY white nope thats not true
Well it must be right if it came out of your mouth! Do you EVER back up your opinions, or do you just randomly blurt things out with no rhyme or reason?
+SEXY white i do not think that is true
i'm a vietnamese muay thai practioner whose family had international business with Thailand, i traveled to Thai and learned the sport since i was 10...now i'm 23...been in around 100 amateur matches with kicks, punches, elbows and even knees to the head...
i'm still alright with 3.8 GPA in college and having a well life ever since...so what's the problem?
what a load of rubbish
Is there any way to turn off the shitty flutes?
It sounds like a broken CD Skipping through tracks being punched repetitively in the face.
