Muay Thai Documentary 8 Limbs: Life Of A Nak Muay (Part 2)
Episode 2 shows the two Thai's we followed in episode 1, Kru Lucky (trainer & fighter) and Yoduman (13 year old thai fighter)
Kru Lucky & Yoduman were shown in episode 1 preparing for fights.... this episode it's fight time!
We travel to a distant island off the coast of Phuket, to Koh Yao Yai - where Yoduman and Lucky will face two fellow Thai's in what is set to be a great night of outdoor festival fights.

what a lucky world they live in where - yoduman wouldnt know what an xbox is. He left school at 11 and was working with the family on a rice farm before asking his family if he could live with Daeng (a trainer here) so he could try muay thai. He enjoyed it and asked to be a fighter.

Outdoor stadium on the beach... electricity was making the lights go dim then bright all night & bugs flying in the ring the whole event. Deff added a 'real' element to the night. Very traditional style

doing strength training is also good like heavy weights 1-3 reps with long rest intervals and like 5 sets. the muscles get strong and dense, and if done with proper technique, you can still be flexible.

Lifting weights is good and should be done when practicing how to fight because it makes your body strong, faster and increases its endurance. The best type of workout you should do is high intensity resistance training (little weight with high reps and little rest). This gives you lean, strong muscle, makes you faster and increases your muscle endurance. DONT bulk up too much. makes you slower, less flexible(so say good bye to head kicks) and you don't need that much strength to ko someone.

his eyes looed like he wanted to kill the person, and thats where he needs to find himself before fighting. he is a pro but his mind is not in the right place he must find what makes him calm and use it as a weapon. im not a fighter and never will be but thats what i see when i look at this guy fight

To your question because of the nodding:
It's like when a boxer gets hit and he smiles.
His opponent knows that he hit him( would be strange if wouldn't take notice huh? :P )
but the boxer who got hit smiles.
    It's a psychological thing.
    As if you would say:
"You threw your best punch, but i'm still standing. You fucked it up, bro" :D

Isn't there a problem when children and young teens actually do get hurt in the ring? Since their bodies has not fully developed yet , I understand that it's a great deal with thai culture but still, you shouldnt try to hurt yourself too much before your body are fully grown, anyway awesome fighters

why arent muay thai fighters stronger? I feel like if you added to them the physique of a 400m olympic sprinter (the abs, arms, chest), they'd be alot more potent fighters....right?

lol are u kidding me? But i guess for your legit question ill give u a legit answer. It's more about getting over the initial shock of what a solid punch feels like. Much like getting drunk the first several times, u dont really know what the feeling is like and your kinda just trying to processing it. After awhile getting drunk is just another day at the office.
