Michael was known for practicing pit entries consistently - because that's where a lot of drivers lose time trying to make sure they don't get penalised for speeding. This entry right here was just insane.
"That is a pace that a jetfighter would struggle to match" Yep, you really were the insanity of speed Michael Schumacher! My and lots of other's hero, forever
I remember this race clearly. Schumi at his peek always had that extra when it wasn't even there. I miss Michael at his peek. Remember this season after hockenheim when everyone wrote off Schumi saying williams and mclaren are too strong and not even schumi can win the title. then at monza which was do or die. he pulled out a victory against the odds. schumi at his best was on another level. always had that little extra when he needed to which made other drivers think. are you kidding me lol
That is where Michael was the best not in qualifiying, in race pace he was better then any f1 driver ever. He could do qualifiying laps in a row lap after lap after lap. It was an amazing thing too see when he drives in a race.
This minute clip of Schumacher driving gave me an adrenaline rush and more excitement than the last 8 years of F1. That pit entry had me clenching my cheeks, absolutely legendary.
On top of that, Brundle raced Senna pretty close in F3, whereas Michael was usually a second quicker than Brundle in qualifying when they were teammates. Nobody likes to get beaten that badly, and saying Senna is the best makes him look good since he challenged him in F3.
@krrishv Don't forget at the 2006 end of the season in Brasil. Schumi qualified in 10th and gained 2 positions at the start. He was then hit and spun out losing several places. Next he was hit again and he had to go to the pits. Even after all that he still managed to finish 4th in the race...
Truly a legend. We may have to wait decades before anyone as good makes his way to F1, or it may never even happen. Brazil 2006 was a culmination of the great man's career, a fitting finale to a glorious career. I'm happy he's back and he's racing in F1 again, that's all that really matters.
I love to see Schumi wins races, but it's one of this that shows his true natural racing ability. Anyway I love to watch his final race in Interlagos 2006, it was an epic performance from him although he didn't win the race.
After 94 & 95 as world champion to Ferrari, which is struggling for a decade, instead of Williams, which he decline! The Brave Shuey prefer to take the challenge! And in the first year in Ferrari he broke the Duck, and win 4 races, for a desperate Ferrari, then every year he won races, in 99, after missing 7 races, after he broke his Leg, he decided to join Eddie Ervine to win the constructors for Ferrari in more than a decade for the Scuderria! So simple question, who is the brave who choose t
I watched him do this every race, he'd wait till everybody else pitted for fuel, then he'd blast an insane lap or two with low fuel and bad tires and come out of the pits still in the lead. AND, nobody else tried this trick! Where they just not good enough to pull off the crazy in-laps, or did they just not figure it out?
At the beginning the commentator states that MSC had a lead of 6.5 seconds, 1 lap later its 7.9 seconds o.O. Thats almost a whopping 1.5s faster than RAI...
its not only history ..... its figures and numbers prove who MS is, its not some humanly miss judgment he or team might have done, he is not a pure God, he is Human Racing God ... he is Michael Schumacher ...
First of all did Senna ever Raced in a car like Schumi. When schumi started his carrier he did not have a good car. But Senna always won in good car. You better know the stats properly.
There was 7 races that year when both of them finished, and Michael was ahead in 4 of them. He was also ahead more often when he or Brundle DNF'd. Yeah, he ran him close, but as I said, Michael was in his first full season, while Brundle was in his prime.
The car become best car because of the devolopment work by schumi.. why it was not a best car before schumi landed ferrari. Also FYI..Brundle is Senna's fan that he had said already...so i wont count his words as correct.
awesome lap. Im not a Schumacher fan, never was, but although all the politics were Schumacher biased and many decisions went his way during that era, he really deserved his 2003 title, without a doubt, he drove brilliantly, showed he could win from behind
Wrong again. Brundle finished a close second to Senna in the championship in 1983. That is a fact. Also, since you want to talk about context, just remember that when Michael was outqualifying Brundle by a second a lap, it was his first full season. He was new to a number of the tracks since Sportscars didn't race at all the F1 tracks.
@EJ25RUN Well, people think that A1-Ring was a stop/go circuit, and we can't compare to the old Österreichring! Neverthless, I think that this track is still very, very fast, and turn 1, is magnificent1
I'm not a schumacher fan but i appreciate that he is easily one of the best drivers in the history of motor racing. I respect him greatly but he clearly steered into Hill in 94
Hill never deserved that championship. He only got close because MS was over-penalised. 2 disqualifications and 2 race bans! That's a quarter of the season! And Hill got 2 wins (Monza and Estoril) handed by Coulthard. And MS was in front in that Adelaide corner.
1985 was Senna's second full season. He had enough experience with the tracks by then to mount a serious challenge to his teammate. Not at all similar to MS/Brundle.
@krrishv hi u have to take a deep look here... the people who hate ferrari and schumi are the brits and aussies, ok they have a major influence in f1. but to them the best team with angel wings is mclaren(who are a willy old fox) and senna is the greatest ever cos he won championship with mclaren. The Brits don't like to talk about that. To me it would have been a real crime for Damon to have won the WDC while Michael suffered FIA induced penalties; only to have the FIA drop all charges against Michael and Benetton F1 after the damage was already done. The reality is that without the FIA's bungling of the matter, the Championship would have been as close as after the first 5 races of the 1994 season!
Nothing better than watching Schumacher in a hurry!
Why he is hurry is he going to the bathroom 🤣😍 love you shumi
That's for sure!
Michael was known for practicing pit entries consistently - because that's where a lot of drivers lose time trying to make sure they don't get penalised for speeding. This entry right here was just insane.
True. He never left a stone unturned, he maximized everything
"That is a pace that a jetfighter would struggle to match"

Perfectly description of Michael before box. Just bulshit unbelievable.
forever
Stats cannot quantify sheer brilliance. Even without the records, Michael is the best
Even without stats we can tell who was better at their prime between Michael, Alonso and Hamilton.

@@TheKestevon The "all car no driver" LH has no place amongst the best
Michael's best seasons were from 96 to 98 when the Ferrari was subpar. He had to achieve herculean feats to achieve those fourteen victories.

It was a celebration to watch him race
Every lap of Michael, is a qualify lap!
That is where Michael was the best not in qualifiying, in race pace he was better then any f1 driver ever.
He could do qualifiying laps in a row lap after lap after lap. It was an amazing thing too see when he drives in a race.
He proven that in France the following season by pitting four times (vs others' three) and STILL win the race!!
Schumacher still has the best win from non pole position percentage of any top contender
That was the brilliant of Schumacher. Setting the fastest inlap and outlap, that can make all the difference. We saw it time and time again.
It's amazing how consistent he was in maximising pitlane speed without penalties. He his perception of the limits seemed just natural and his nature.

This is Racing ,on the edge , at the absolute limit of everything

A unforgettable drive was Brazil 2006; maybe the best ever! #KeepFightingMichael
I definitely think that with his genius, if Schumacher was a physicist he would've won a nobel prize, outstandingly genetically qualified.

back in the day where schumi use to drive like hell before he pitted. use to be the highlight of the race :)
lmaooo that entry
Omg that pit entry... could someone enlighten me? What Grand Prix is this?
That's the Austrian Grand Prix on the Spielberg circuit, somewhere around 2002-2003
2003 it was
Nope, not the Spielberg circuit, but the A1-Ring.
True !! :D
Some seconds later he made his well-known pit stop with fire and still won the race.

Yeah because Schumacher had 4 races less in 94 otherwise Hill would have lost the championship by 40 or more points.
