The King and Dale has a great perspective on this situation with the driver of the #3 car running through the #22 on the last lap at Richmond. If the #3 car didn’t hit the #22 in the rear, he would have hit the third turn wall. A desperate move by a desperate driver and team. Richard hit the mark when he said the strategy messes up the racing. Just let these cars go out and race.
Anyone, and I mean ANYONE who dismisses these two gentlemen's thoughts as being mute because of their age is a total MORON! 🤨 The King & The Blue Knight have literally seen it all, they absolutely know of which they speak 💪 I've been listening to The King speak on NASCAR racing for 57yrs now, and not even 1 time has he been wrong in his thoughts on whatever issue he's speaking on, that's a pretty impressive stat 👍 Long live The King & his Blue Knight aka Dale Inman 😎
I wish Jimmie Johnson buying into the team didn't get rid of the Petty branding of the team...even if The King only owns a small percentage Maury Gallagher respected that and gave Petty brand first billing, there's no reason it couldn't be Petty Johnson GMS like Roush Fenway Keselowski.
First rule in racing is the first car to the line wins and Austin drove for the win. No way he decided to wreck two cars in two incidents on the last lap, he just did one heck of a job getting there first, that’s all.
I don’t buy that, if he had done what the spotter said he would have lost the race and wrecked with the #22, rather he drove the car for the win. A very good job of driving at that!
Good thing the spotter didn’t yell ‘kill him’ or Austin would be facing murder charges. First one should ask what caused the last caution, wouldn’t be the first time a wreck happened to promote the opposing driver a chance at the win. Austin had the superior car and got jumped on the restart which in reality brought about the incident in the first place and secondly Austin turned in a great display of driving skill that shocked the supposed more gifted front runners, he deserved the win and he took it.
i guess you were okay with ricky intentional spinning another car to bring out the caution and keep the 3 from winning, never should have been a caution. anyone remember nascars huge fines for teams manipulating the finish of the race, unless its for roger penske
Thanks for the recap! As for Dillon, what goes around comes around, and I'm sure going to enjoy it when it comes back around to him.
I just love listening to Richard and Dale it's great learn alot
💯% agree with you guys! Best analysis by the best in the business!👍

It was good to see them. They’ve been off so long. I can’t remember the last time they were both there at the same time.

We should have a gold star panel of elders (like these guys) that determine the rulings on controversial incidents like this
about time a great podcast with real-time celebs with experience
I see what happened at Richmond Sunday night in the same way as y'all do!

He might be 30+ years removed from driving, but he still has valuable knowledge that we need, NASCAR should listen to him.
@@PaperBanjo64Well put 👍
@Slinger43 and I was born the year he retired but if anybody knows racing it's The King.
@@PaperBanjo64 Amen to that! 🙏

The King has a great point on the 2 different tire compounds, it's hard to see the lettering from the stands.

Dillons spotter was screaming on the radio to Wreck Him. Austin did what he was told.

@@daleflinchum3244 Nascar has the audio and suspended the spotter 3 races.

I find it disappointing to watch hundreds of laps of highly skilled racing end in a demolition derby.
Timed race would resolv
E alot of issues!
Old Richard wouldn't of drove like that, these little spuds are out of control wrecking, it's like kiddy racing, not professional driving
I think he should have been given last place one lap down. That would make sure no one does that again.
Good on punting the Toyota. Upset about Toyota well go cry to Japan. USA
