DON'T DO IT, Buy 2 Macavity MA2 for the price of 1 FX for a similar performance
Damn Nate! That is one sick gun! WOW!
5.2 lbs, and it shoots like that?
Great to see FX offering a more affordable gun as well.
That 500mm version would make a perfect small game hunting rig. Especially if you were to add the larger plenum.
Great review, as always.
Yes, I wanted to ad the large plenum, but the FX techs are hard to get ahold of so I figured it would be too hard to tune. But if you went on Airgun Nation and asked you could figure it out.Or have Utah Airguns install and tune it for you. Thats what I will do.
Awesome 😎 your reviews are on another level 🎉
Thanks! I did put alot of work into this one because I liked the gun!
@@AirgunChannel absolutely 👌 beautiful gun it is . What i like most about your videos are in a very short amount of time you can make a layman or a beginner to understand your videos, so your videos are enjoyed by beginners to professionals explaining everything about the gun you review, which makes us feel happy, also your groups and the plinking is the most enjoyable, and i noticed in your videos, the sound is very clear , we can hear pellets slugs wheezing and hit the target 🎯 overall you make great content and that too of the latest trending guns and ammo on the market . Hope to see much more videos from you sir in the future 🥰and here's a small request from a small subscriber, i and many people enjoy long range shooting, so hoping to see some glimpse of it in your future videos say 200 meters+ with pellets and slugs
What's hilarious is how many people believe FX invented this design. Snow Peak made the M30B years before FX copied the design.
But I guess we're all supposed to overlook that and praise how great FX is for innovative original products. 🤣
The M30B has 5 adjustment knobs and wins every airgun competition? Funny I missed that.
@@AirgunChannel Iam sure if 99% of the rifles in the competition were Snow Peak M30B, then it would stand to reason that one would probably win......🤣
I am super glad that FX is reaching out into the more budget-friendly market, but still, I can't afford it because I'm only 14, lol. I got my JTS Airacuda Max and my Notos. I love those things, but every time my parents spend $1000, I say as a joke, "Hey, that could have got me an airgun." So hopefully, one day, they will consider getting me an FX DRS. But most likely ill buy it myself.
Yeah, or you could get a job. The JTS and Notos are awesome! Great choices! A Dreamlite or DRS Classic would be a perfect next step. Maybe a Dreamline for more shots.
Get a job.
@@mythgreatbritain5634 Will do!
Nice one brother! Those AEA pellets really shine in the rifle.😊
Yeah...in every rifle so far.
Excellenté review Bro 🎯 👍🏼✌🏻🤠
Thank you! -Nate
There can be had for under £700 in the UK, Nearly bought one but I think they are two heavy still and friends who have them report reliability and quality issues.
too heavy? It's 5 pounds. Possibly the 12 ft pound ones don't work as well.
Still looking for someone to pull the shroud/ air reservoir off of the barrel liner so we can see the new barrel liner sleeve or what ever it is.. it’s crazy NOT one video on RUclips of someone showing this yet ! Matt showed a glimpse of it in his drs pro video of a new barrel Shroud liner sleeve* but no one else has shown it further 😡
Don't dissasemble any part of this rifle if you want to live.
@recklessjunkie Ernest Rowe one of the designer for fx did a disassembly video to show what happens if you disassemble it with out drain the air out of it. You no some dummy will end up doing it.. it's not really any different besides the tube shroud and the way it seals fx isn't going to change the way the barrel made. Even though it would be a big benefit if the could make a barrel that's more of a standard thickness because that's the main problem with it. Unfortunately they really can't because of there patient external rifling groves would be impossible to do . If someone was able to put there fx liner in a steal bull and fluted heavy barrel blank so it super rigid. It would also make it really heavy. 💯🫡✌️
I wonder if the larger plenum for the pro is available at a Reasonable price since it is only a block of aluminum milled out and just bolts on. Shouldn’t be more than 75-100$ but knowing how FX rolls with you gotta have this and you gotta have this with everything being top dollar it will be way more than respectable or reasonable I’m sure. Nice platform and maybe the only fx I would even consider paying that much for tbh. My be better in the end to buy the Snowpeak version 🤷🏼♂️💯
Bro, what synthetic stock is any more all-wearher than a correctly finnished wooden stock?
I believe many wooden stocks will withstand the weather better than many synthetic stocks, if a sample were tested by leaving them totally exposed until enough of one type have undoubtedly deterieriated beyond use.
That's so true! But this synthetic stock if feather light. No wood stock could pull that off.
Run them samples then my friend, would love to see the eventual result. I love my wood .... however if im in the shit working round the farm,I'd prefer to look after the old wood and just not give a crap about synthetics.
You are showing me to many options!! (If that's possible). Looking for a great target rifle in .25 that won't kill my pocket book. How would you compare this to the Hatsan Factor Sniper which you recently reviewed?
Factor has more power but an FX is always going to be the best. If you got a 600mm or 700mm .25 it would be shooting full power.
Awesome review here on this one boss! Knocked it outta the park! Er um shot it😆💥💪💪💪😱😱😱💯
Thanks man! Every once in a while I try hard to make a good video. This was one of those times!
@@AirgunChannel lol I like this little rifle. I'ma look into to this fer shur the 600mm one👍💪💪💪🎯💯
Hey Nate, what up. Psycho from the forum or David lol, dude i bought this damn gun. Guess what? .? . Its a FX. For sure. Ive been doin this for many decades actually over half a century and Huben and FX have stepped up, oh, also , sorry but i forgot my new JTS ARICUDA MAX 30 which is a beautiful thumb hole stock rifle i love it too. Life is great bro, sorry for any past negative shit on here or forum over the years dude, we cool bro. I got the synthetic but gonna get a wood in future. Never been a fx fanboy but ive owned a few. Sold a few on forums, but, this gun here yanked my crank dogg, i love this lil feather of a gun , i got .25 500mm so i got biig plenum. looks like a M14 lol. Good one bro
David
David, So cool you hopped it up with the plenum. I need to get one! -Nate
If you’re going to do a mag look, then also do a bolt. The one thing I would love to see different. But damn what a nice rifle.
I really like the looks of this gun
Why don't my replys show up?
@@AirgunChannel I see it ✌️
Me too, looking good man!
Good deal! Thanks!
MINES SHOOTING THE 15GR AAE PELLETS AT 895 LAZER BEAM 208CC TANK SO SHOTCOUNT AINT LIKE FX SAYS 60 FOR SURE
Nice!
Excelente video como siempre 👍👍👏👏👌👌🧉🇦🇷y el FX un espectáculo saludos 👍
Thank you! -Nate
Nate, please explain how this functions without an air reservoir.
I can't guess.
The air is in the shroud/
Brother I'm about to get the DRs .. 700mm what kind of optic should I get?
An element HELIX or a Hawke aIRMAX
Awesome 😮
I like how aea list the fpe on there websites but others never do u know the fpe on all 3 calibers
here you go. Mulitply everything X 920 FPS It;'s 10-.6gr, 25.54gr, and 25.4gr. Alse depends on the barrel lenght and tune.
@@AirgunChannel thank u
Is that phillips screw supposed to be in trigger guard? Just wondering if you lost the original one? Thanks
The gun is brand new...so it came that way.
Nice review. The rifle isn’t actually tankless. The tank wraps around the barrel. I think you meant to say it’s bottle-less. Nice air gun though.
Wrong! it turns the air into electricity as soon as you pump it in. The pellets are electric powered.
@@AirgunChannel ok if you say so. I got that info straight from the manufacturer. I guess they are wrong too. 😂😂
Awesome review Nate , that FX DRS is sweet hell yeah 🎯 I've been waiting for this review 👍
Nate, your link to pyramid air is not working
Sorry man! It works in my browser, just keep clicking through...
Looks like a Snowpeak M30. 😄
Do it shoot like one?
It sure does 😂
@@heithwatkins Dude, you're a serious hater. Every comment I see you post on here is negative. We get it, M30 might have done it first, but NOBODY and I mean not a single person in today's day in age cares about who did what first. All anyone should care about is the performance. I have both air rifles and in my humble opinion, I can assure you that FX did it better. You have to realize that every single air gun out there is essentially the same as the last, with the only exception being performance. Snowpeak, Artemis, doesn't matter. They're gone, bought out and recycled. So, yeah, that's why we see 99% of FX rifles winning every year because they're the top dog right now. In the next 5-10 years, it might be someone else.
@@bass_legacy_9083 Is this really you Fredrik Axelsson????🤣
after reading at airgun nations forum about this gun i wont buy it. it comes with soft brass fillbrobe, the pressuregauge is a cheap chinese and fillbrobe holes have burrs and it might be a china gun. in my opinion you get way more bang for you buck buyin spa m25 like i did.
It did have some imperfections, and I HATED the fill probe....so you may have a point!
@@AirgunChannelAnd you still advertise it again and again (EVEN WENT THAT FAR TO CALL IT "AIRGUN OF THE YEAR" ) and argued that stance in the comments.
We watch everything man.
Damn fill probes are the worst!! I am surprised fx is allowing the poors like me to have a chance to own one 😂 This is a good looking rifle and the weight would be a cool out in the woods.
Yes, it's amazing carrying around a 5 pound rifle. Gotta love that price too.... Of course you can always get a dream light for close to the same amount... And you can get a pretty awesome dream line used for around $800 on the air gun classifieds on airgun nation.
@@AirgunChannel I might have to look at that!! Thanks for everything you do!!
I had the idea of making the tank a barrel cover years ago ,but i never thought any one would do it .Apart frm looking good ,it looks balance and all that barrel and air pressure must be holding the barrel still and probably suppressing the noise a bit
I think FX was first but then about the same time Evanix did it on thier pistol. I wonder if they both thought of it at the same time.
I guess you guys missed the Snow Peak M30B that came out years before FX copied the design 🤣🤣🤣
Looks like a caterpillar on the red target lol
It was
Very nice . still a bit spendy.
I guess $1000 is affordable now.
HELL YEAH
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Word that!
I thought it was only us Brits who called all Americans Yankees 😅
I live in the UK silly.
At this price point, I don't think you could buy a better rifle. I'll be looking forward to the M4 review. Great video, as always!
Thats for sure!
(they are all JSB´s)
yes
890£s
Great price!
Whaaat's with gloves dude ?????!!!!!
I don't want someone to clone my fingerprints off the video and then frame me for murder. They can do that nowadays. Don't you watch TV?
Not tankless, or it wouldn't work.
It's powered by electricity
A😘💕👍👍
I agree!
Has no air tank... LOL ok.
It's just like my new water heater. Tankless.
@@AirgunChannel Right in the sense of wrong lol... You're tankless heater has no reserve... The gun does... hence a tank just not the kind you're used to...
@@trondyne3513 you’re correct. The tank wraps around the barrel. It’s bottle-less not tankless as you said. Hence the fill probe. 😁
The price range should be started at 750-1500or2k for the competition model . The real reason fx didn't use a bottle or tube . Is because the barrel liner it self. The way its design its not thick enough to dill with the harmonics even with a tension system . Mostly because of barrel length. So the decided using the shroud as the tank system instead wich also tension the barrel . They were epoxing filling the liners on the other fx models. The oring system wasn't effective enough. Wich probably up set some people have to modify expensive part. Wich couldn't be reversed once epoxy 🫡👍👌💯✌️🤔
Crazy!
