Tell ya what , im 62 and a traditional style guy. I got my .25 500mm synthetic w/67cc plenum. YAAAAY. awesome little woods walker. Its super lightweight. I love it and i have many pcp's and I am picky lol. David
I like that you guys are doing airgun reviews. Most people when they buy an air rifle have a intended purpose whether for target shooting, light pesting or higher power pesting/hunting. The FX DRS in the different barrel lengths and calibers might suit each of those activities better. I would like to see the set-up tunes for each of those activities. For example for the 500mm barrel with a light pesting tune in .22 caliber with the Hades going 850 fps and then know what to set the regulator at and what shot count was achieved. Then maybe the 600mm in .25 caliber with a good hunting tune with the 34's going at 850 fps for accuracy and power. Finally as you did with the 700mm with a slug tune that you did. It is okay going over different rifles function and specs. at the indoor range but you need to go outdoors starting at 50 yards for accuracy testing. That is if you can get some nicer less windy days where you guys shoot at the range.
If i think drs i think about light hunting 12lbs.. walking about.. on those point this gun might get the crown.. going full power.. long range.. heavy ammo.. other guns do this better.
Finally, that's a great review. Game changer for nrl.22, meaning more affordable if you would like to get into the hobby of air rifles instead of Rimfire and on top of that your still able to shoot pellets if you want to. AWESOME Definitely would like to see the accuracy at 100 yards with slugs and pellets. Thank you 👍 And I want that panthera under your used airgun section lol 😂
The panthera is a competition rifle, not a hunting rifle. If you want something for hunting or target shooting go for the hunting platform, the Dynamic. More air capacity. Made for field use.
I think you are right about the looks. I'm an older guy and really do not like the black rifle/tactical stuff! Air rifles in general have gone toward a space age theme I like the looks of this FX better than anything else FX makes!! Think I'll get one with a 600mm barrel in .25 one day soon. Was thinking about the 700 barrel but after seeing this one and the big plenem, i think I'll stick to 600 with a flush plenem!! Can you get the small plenem 600mm to push pellets consistantly at 1000+ Fps with 25.39 grain pellets?
1 - When you mention "slug power kit" is that the hammer or the plenum or none of those answers (Is it out of the box / on all of them?) 2 - The regulator adjustment are the same on the smaller plenum/ it is the same regulator from what I get? A bit annoying to not have a gauge to know the pressure but I will figure it out I guess 3- Any recommendations on action torque specs for wood? One thing I would personally enjoy is have marks on the receiver to fine tune the hammer & regulator so you have a better idea of what you actually dud but once it is tuned it looks like an awesome rifle Interesting review!
I just picked up my drs, i bought the picatinny rail with the drs. there are 3 screws with the rail but in the action only two screw holes are open and the third one is already in use, if i try to unscrew that screw oil comes out and air so i turn it back in. Do i need to remove all air from the rifle before unscrewing that screw?
Hi, how to replace (install) a new SHP plenum on DRS Classic .22 synthetic? I would like to place an order for 2 SHP plenum but I have no idea how to replace the existing one. Thanks
Also, I really think a video for people on the fence with air rifles would be? If you guys can break it down for the .22lr shooter's and show them that in the long run shooting pellets and slugs is actually cheaper than Rimfire and center fire. Because the moment they see the initial cost of air rifles/set up the Rimfire shooter's instantly get turned off. To me it's about bringing new customers into the hobby NOT just selling to previous customers 👍 Thanks again!
I've seen pictures of them attached to sections of pic rail mounted under the foreend. You can get Utah airguns to install it for you. It's at a slight angle due to the shape of the foreend but looks fine and doesn't hurt anything.
@ShortsMaker-yd8kv If you have the SHP plenum, you can buy an angled manometer bracket and gauge. To see your pressure. If you have a HP plenum when you take the action out of the stock , there is a removable plug to install the gauge.
Could be wrong here, but i was under the impression that you could not turn the reg down, only up with the rifle under pressure? If going down, you break the reg?
You are correct. Turning a regulator down (clockwise) can damage it. According to FX, their AMP2 regs will tolerate 1/4 (followed by a couple of shots to relieve the pressure) without damage. Personally, just to be safe and not over stress components, I always de-pressurer the pcp before turning the reg down. Cheers!
I enjoy this channel and these types of reviews so would love to see more, but it seems to be the same brands. Let’s see some Air Arms, Daystate/Brocock, BSA, Edgun, Weihrauch etc just something different for once.

Great review…thanks from the UK..👍..getting very tempted to buy a FX.DRS😉
It would be nice if you could show the reg pressure. For example my 25 cal dreamline is at 110 bar shooting a 25.39 jsb at 875. Hammer 3.5 turns in.

Great video!! I thought that it was very informative and it didn’t feel like a sales pitch!!!!!!! Great work, keep it up!!!!!!
When are the pic rails going to be available?
bro i’m saving for the panthera , now i want that gun. u guys make me crazy .

@@bluewater454 The panthera is fine for hunting as well

My 22 700 DRS is Awesome !
It is Extremely Accurate at 100 yards !
Hello! what size bar do you use for the 700mm drs! how many bars do you shoot at?? or. what size grain projectile do you recommend???
@@ShortsMaker-yd8kv I have been shooting the H&N 34gr Heavy slug 960fps with the reg set at 155bar
@@bcml8 thanks
@@bcml8 thanks! fx drs where can I set the regulator? or read the 150 bar pressure?? it would be fx drs! thanks

Think they pay too well 🤔 they are a big sponsor 😊
UA doesn't carry day state, bsa, or weihrauch. Seems like they won't review something they don't carry.
Don't say anything. The FX fan boys will get mad at you. They are really mean bullies.
@@robertmuir734 Just something other than the same FX rifles. It’s now too predictable and boring and screams SPONSORED.
They are the importer for FX in the US now... But it would be cool to see taipan or something mixed in for sure
My father is really interesting in the wood version of this gun. Yes, it's very good gun.
Please review FX DRS in 600 mm barrel in .22 calibre. If possible please do outdoor review this review inside the room is too dark
