The story behind that song is: The song was written by Jimmy, about how he was feeling due to his cardiomegaly (enlarged heart) and how he decided to end it all with his "Brompton Cocktail" (a mix of drugs and medicine). Long story short: Brompton Cocktail is about how the rev committed suicide although it was written years before he actually did so.
