Hi Matt, Never have I heard anyone do a better job playing one of Chet's tunes, and you make it look so easy. Thanks for sharing this one with us and I hope you have a great week end. Hugh
Great playing Matt! You have so many of these down to perfection. My mind can't hold all that. I take forever to learn one and at the same time forget another. Chet had an amazing mind to keep all those licks right on his finger tips (and thumb pick).
Chet must have forgotten how he played tunes that he hadnt played in awhile. I dont know any mortal could remember it all. His body of work was just gigantic.
Greetings from Tennessee! My grandfather roomed with Chet (before he became big) and they played on the Midday Merry-go-round in Knoxville. I never learned to play, but you sound just like my grandfather used to play. He decided to go to work for Alcoa Aluminum and Chet decided to play guitar. Guess the real job didn't work out...LOL! Keep em coming! Great music!
Chip Hatcher Hi Chip, thanks for your comment, that sounds fascinating! I'd love to get to Tennessee sometime, but it's a bit far from the UK, maybe one day...
Matt--if you lived on my rural Kansas road--I'd bring the John Deere down often and mow the roadsides a half mile in both directions and both sides in front of your place, just in hopes I could come over by the house and park awhile when done--just to hear you practice a bit!! Nice playing here, thanks.
The Rustic Dance.... Country style? I would have never guessed. GREAT!

Another winner! Thanks for the inspiration (again!!!)

Thanks John - yeah, I have to keep playing 'em all the time to keep them in memory, I'm constantly amazed by Chet too.
