C/H/S or Cylinder Head Sector is an older scheme for keeping track of sector locations on hard drives. This tutorial shows how to properly set up a DE task to read from a CHS hard drive.

just watched your video and it reminded me of a recent recovery of a similar old hard drive. Luckily, it was easy to read. So I did some research and according to the manual, the WD AC2700 series should be able to use LBA. Surprising that yours was not recognized via LBA.
But thank you for reminding me of the difference between CHS and LBA!
New videos would be great, I would be happy if you upload more recoveries in the future.

The issue is not so much related to the OS per se. The real problem is you'd need a motherboard that supports a CHS drive. Likely your board is just too new to know how to communicate with such an old drive. We have professional data recovery equipment here, but you'd be better off just finding an old computer to copy the data off.
