    In this part 2 of the series on how to clone a hard drive with bad sectors, we'll explore installing ddrescue. We'll also discuss how to use the triggers to control the Linux imaging process. Finally we'll consider how to determine source and destination drives for the final command to be issued in the command line interface.

    is it ctrl-C or ctrl-Z for pausing ddrescue because the prompt says "Press Ctrl-C to interupt" but it sounds like you are saying "Ctrl-Z".

      It should be Ctrl+C; Ctrl+Z suspends the process. And Yes, he indeed tries to use Ctrl+Z and that's why he couldn't stop it and had to remove the drive and plug it back in. lol.
      There's no need to pause because of the 'mapfile' (This guy calls it the log file.) That file remembers the state and allows it to resume.
