I have to agree with you on the knowledge front. It may not be something you're interested in but learning a bit may be beneficial.
I do IT primarily and sometimes the most random things imaginable may be the best analogy to use to describe a situation when someone isnt getting it. I have hundreds of clients in real estate and dabbling into it's workings has sort of made sense.
I got into a brief stint with car upgrades/repairs and knowing it head to toe creates the same scenario.
I never had an interest in drones until a Jayztwocents video...now it's a hobby. I really thought my EXTREME fear of heights would be a road block so I never even looked at it until then at which point I thought maybe this can help. It did not but flying 393 feet upward on a display just works.
I shouldn't be off roading or recoving vehicles yet I grew up with it with the wrong gear and still love seeing it happen.
I'm never going to be an electrician but it's handy to know how/why. Theres so many scenarios where I was ignorant and could of just died or came close to. High voltage scares me as much as it should have last time I got decently electrocuted.
All cool stuff and it makes perfect sense to just learn of everything you can even if it will never apply. You might just find that one scenario where that knowledge will help you or someone else and that's what's really important.

As a new subscriber I have watched a dozen or so of this guy's videos. In the course of morning today a thought crossed my mind that the next video of his that I watch I will leave a comment that I like how he does not waste time in his videos. First up tonight was this video and he mentions in it that he does not waste time in his videos. That got me thinking that he saved me the time of leaving a compliment but I decided to leave this one anyway.

I was lucky that I had made several redundant copies. I would recommend everyone to always back up relevant data redundantly on several drives.

    4:55 it's so true
I'm a programmer (I design and write all kinds of programs, primarily CAD)
And I don't have enough focus currently to commit to learning something new (because I take stuff very seriously)
After accidentally watching one of your videos, I watched more and more, but couldn't put my finger on why I did
The format is very straightforward, and there's always some insight, and it's extremely easy to follow, among other things that I value very much.

I made a variable linear power supply that I use to inject power past the regulators. Not energy efficient but does get something to power up. All you need to know is what the feedback is set for to set the linear power supply voltage.
On the regulator you showed it's lowest voltage is 0.6V. Find the feedback pin for the regulator and put a voltmeter on it. Set the linear power supply to its lowest voltage and inject power. Increase the voltage until the feedback pin shows 0.6V.
Another method is to find out what chips the regulator is powering. Look up the data sheet for those chips and see what their voltage is and set the linear to the same voltage.

Brother, I have been following your videos for a while, and you are really excellent and wonderful
I have a comment on today's video, which is that zero resistance does not replace the fuse
Because the zero resistance is sometimes present to compensate for a jump, because the robot cannot weld a wire, so they compensate it with zero resistance, and sometimes it is set to erase the interference
    Thanks...

It would be cool if there would be some image recognition software that would scan donor boards and recognize the chip imprints and footprint to put them into a database. Or it exists? I mean production lines use that already for pick and place machines and quality control, it would just be a different use case and less standardized cameras.

Resting a laptop on a soft surface, like mattress or pillow, can cause it to overheat and choke on its own hot air as well. This happens because the vents get blocked.

Hdd regenerator. Doesn't format too well, bad sectors are remaining. Much better to buy a new one, instead. I had a fuse problem w a 40 Gb Toshiba drive, soldering solved my problem. Tricky fuses, I soldered a Nokia car charger's fuse, and the charger became too hot, then failed.
