Been enjoying your video journal. I spent a lot of time on the upper Mississippi as a kid at my Grandparent's cabin across from Beaver Island around Fulton IL and Clinton IA. Lots of memories there. Loved watching the barges go by at night. Also the lock there fascinated me as a kid. I live in the Ozarks now so don't get to see the big river much anymore. I have seen you TN river it is really beautiful.

You are real troupers to fight the current on the Mississippi AND the Illinois Rivers. That St. Louis arch was designed by the legendary architect Eero Saarinen, who did not live to see it built.
@@rogerbaker-vo1cd Hi Roger! We are usually not anchored out for longer than three days. At each Marina you can get rid of the trash. It is not usually a problem.
@@rogerbaker-vo1cd When we bought the boat the freezer had an icemaker didn't work. It took up a lot of room in the freezer so instead of fixing it we tore it out. We now use those silicone Ice sleeves and make big cubes and medium cubes ourselves. That way we are using filtered water.
Those are some pretty sweet chairs by the back door of the salon. My daughter gave me one for my birthday last year. Not as good on loose sand, but can still rock on wet sand as tide went out. And nice handle to carry it with. Two handles actually, but I didn't see the 2nd one for a bt. Thinking it was a bad design carrying it out to my fishing spot with it bouncing off the path. Figured it out coming back!
We love those chairs. On our second ones. We try to put them away when not in use as the sun rots them quickly. What kind of fish do you like to catch?

We seldom fish but we did enjoy fresh local caught catfish at several of the local restaurants in Grafton.
