It really is! Alabama has some of the best fresh water cruising in the country and so many great marinas to visit. “Sweet home Alabama”!! Thanks for watching our travels. 🛥️
Only yr lead video do you see yr boat from some distance. You schld show a side view at the dock and also show pics of each room on boat when you bought it. Now all yr things are on board.
Thanks for the tip. We have tried several different microphones, however sometimes on deck when going 10mph into a 20 mph wind the wind noise can’t be avoided. When at home we have time to edit and re-record audio but while traveling we don’t have the time and internet speed to “polish” the videos. Thanks for watching.
Sorry it is taking me so long to get these videos out but traveling down the river the wifi choices are limited. Would love to find a way to get better internet while traveling.
We’ve seen a lot of our beautiful country traveling in our RV. 15 years on the road…love watching your view from the water..you really need to work on your sound when you’re outside
I have some microphones and am using them now. You should see improvement soon in some of the next videos. It is still difficult even with those as the winds and noises are excessive some days on the water but I"m trying to get it better.
We saw you yesterday (May-25) locking through at Starved Rock. My wife and I have been thinking about traveling down the length of the Mississippi starting in Seneca, IL (just north of Starved Rock). I'm assuming the Carver V56 (the same boat we are looking to purchase) was not your first boat - what has been your boating progression? Also, we assume are both retired? Do you still own a home in Chattanooga or did you sell that while you are on The Great Loop? So many questions. Such interesting travels you have had, thank you for sharing. We love the Mississippi and Illinois rivers. Bryan & Denise Nelson, IL
So nice of you to reach out. We love our 56 Voyager. We have been boating for years, this is our first Carver. We’ve had various size Sea Rays over the years. Our boat before Freebird was Sea Ray 44 Sundancer. Ed is retired and Maureen is semi-retired. We still have our home just north of Atlanta about 1 1/2 hours to our Marina in Chattanooga. Thanks for following our travels.
We stared our clockwise loop on May 4th 2024 from Chattanooga TN. Planned start was May 1st hoping to get to Lake Michigan just before June. Thanks for watching!
We always wear light weight auto inflatable life vests when out on deck during locking and docking. They are very comfortable and much cooler on hot days. Thanks for watching our videos.
Nice boat! Beautiful view. Thanks!
Many thanks! The Tennessee River is beautiful to cruise down.
I just found your channel. I'm along for the trip!
Glad you found us. Welcome aboard! 🛥
Glad to have you!
Alabama is beautiful! Thanks for filming it.

Our Nation is so beautiful. Thank y’all for sharing your adventures with us.
It really is! And our rivers are a great way to see it. Thanks for following our loop.

Keep watching...each video varies. We also did a video of a tour of our boat. Here is a link:

@FreebirdonTheGreatLoop OK thnks must have missed it.
Great video’s guys. If you are open to suggestions, I would spend a little on some microphones to enhance the audio. But still very good videos.

You might try narrating while you edit. Very distracting if you do it while underway. Love the scenery.

Starlink! If ocean going cats can use it so can you!
@@greenlady43 Just need to find someone that can get it going. We tried and had to return it.
I did your current path, reverse looping, last May, 42’ Grand Banks. Enjoy!
Thankyou. We are having a great time. Looking forward to the rivers receding below flood stage.

Starlink is your best bet
We need to check that out.📡
We finally got Starlink working and the upload/download speeds are great. We put together a Short video of the install. Check it out…
Love the channel. We are thinking of a clockwise loop. What time of year did you start this adventure?
We stared our clockwise loop on May 4th 2024 from Chattanooga TN. Planned start was May 1st hoping to get to Lake Michigan just before June. Thanks for watching!
Where are your life vests while going thru the lock?

This is gonna be an Edith Bunker kind of trip, I'll pass!
Terrible audio quality. Great video.
Thanks for watching.
