    What I find intriguing is the cognitive dissonance with people who eat carbs from cereals all day and expect not to get fat, knowing full well that is the diet given to farm animals to fatten them up. We are not farm animals but apex carnivores.

      To be honest I never really thought about this until going carnivore. Most people have probably heard it before, but it's just sort of a random factoid in the back of your mind, not something you actively think about and make connections to until you decide to make a change and it's right there in your face. People discussing the pros/cons of grain fed vs. grass fed beef, and then all the sudden you realize oh yeah, my cornflakes are just there to fatten ME up like the cows.
      The majority of us are so far removed from the actual sources of our food. I'd expect a rancher/farmer to notice this right away and throw the cornflakes out. But everyone else? Nah we just want to keep getting that dopamine hit right? Ignorance is bliss.

    • @saltedllama2759

      The FDA partnered with the USDA, as well as huge food and pharma companies to ensure that would happen. It doesn't just fatten up cows because they can't digest it properly; it also fattens them QUICKLY. That is why in the US cows are supposed to be born, grown, and butchered inside of 2 years.
      It isn't foods just meant to make us fat, but to create inflammatory responses, block nutrient absorption, and mess up our hormones. Micro-doses in every direction to give us tons of problems.

    2. Go for regular walks
    3. Incorporate some kind of weight training
    4. Go even lower carb, animal based
    5. Start regular fasting (eg 3 days)

      @fuzzytabletopfellow7249 Месяц назад +1

      This would sound a lot better and clearer i find.
      IF and Low Carb to start with, prefer starting with Keto. Also watch how much and when you eat.
      High Fat, High Protein, low Carb. That is a goal to keep Testosterone up while Cortisol lowers.
      Regular walks of at least an hour if able will be most benefitial. Keep being active when able.
      Make sure to get enough sleep, and to drink a lot of Water or sparringly herbal Tea like Green Tea.
      Weight Training helps burn some fat, but builds muscle. Pair it with Cardio to heighten fatburning.
      Just be wary that reductionism, or more is more, doesn't help! Keep it intense and short or long and simple.
      Only go lower on carbs, when you feel ready to. If you crave, you aren't ready. Prefer Animal based foods.
      Fasting is a benefit, but key is to start slow! Get into a habbit of fasting one entire day, maybe two first.
      Go towards at most 5 Days of fasting frequently, with regular breaks if it becomes too much. Prefer 3 Days Fast.
      Once ready, prefer a Carnivore Diet only. That should be adapted out based on your living situation.
      Allow yourself some free room to allow a little cheating, only a little! Otherwise you will fall back.
      There is no profiting from this diet, unless you are willing to dedicated towards it longterm.
      Your Food, your Activity, your Excercize, and your Rythm will dictate the success you will reap.

      Im quite new to the podcasts but loving them.
      Im extremely overweight I do produce too much cortisol so Im going to go on a carnivore diet.
      20 years ago I ate 3 meals a day lived in a small village was brought up on home grown foods, brought my kids up same way. No supermarkets. Was slim and healthy.
      I moved and have been lazy, eat wrong.
      Cereal then lunch then dinner and a dessert.
      So I know carbs are bad for me, if I eat pasta I fall asleep. I had my gall bladder removed 30 years ago and recently I started producing stones, had sepsis 3 times and kidney failure due to stones lodging in the CBD and billiary tree. Im sure its the cause of the weight gain. Ive done the gym, personal trainer, etc etc. Tried carbs but I noticed how fatigued I get. Eat meat more energy plus I felt better. So defo going to the butcher for a meat and egg pack.
      This is so interesting. Im loving the two Anthonys.
      Lol had a plasterer once who was amazing could not believe how quick and how good he was, he was stick thin and I thought it was because he was such a good worker. His mate said nope! He is on speed! 😅.
      Can you eat fruit ? I love fruit. Raapberries are a favourite and bananas are an on the go fruit. Do I cut them out completely?

      Women actually can’t get “jacked” just fyi. (Unless you’re an idiot & take steroids) we are simply not made that way. But you CAN gain lean muscle and improve your body composition! I used to train professional bodybuilders, & there is a world of difference between a professional (natural) bodybuilder & an everyday person who weight trains! Anyone who thinks they’ll get “jacked” by working out with weights is ignorant of what is possible and essential for optimal health. Every woman should weight/resistance train regularly for optimal body composition, movement, flexibility, maintenance/increase lean muscle and bone health at any age, especially those over 50 years old.

    Wow, many thanks to you both! Incredible shared info. I am a double A genetic haemochromatosis human of 60 years of age. Had no idea I had this condition until I was 45 and refused all treatment other than occasional blood letting. Jumped into carnivore full on. I have never felt better. 100 days in and will have full blood workup results in a few more days. My husband's results came back with hugely positive results. I always bathe my eyes in the morning sunrise and listen with the roosters sending their language around the countryside. No cortisol until the humans wake up. 😂

      awesome! in sure your bloodwork will come back great, but main thing is how good you feel! The mainstream Dr's would have us ignore this common sense signal.

    This was fascinating & so informative! Having the hormones explained, their action & purpose, how they go wrong in your body- what you can do to get them on the right path to working properly in your body. This was truly eye-opening knowledge. Plus, I could listen to the guest Anthony read labels, he has such a great voice!

    My wife and I do a modified version of Mike Mentzer's consolidate routine. Workout A: leg press, then hammer strength pulldowns. Workout B: deadlifts, hammer strength chestpress. Each exercise is done 1 set to momentary muscular failure. We do workout A, then 7 days later, we do workout B, and we work out on Friday morning. Monday through Thursday, we do omad at night. Friday through Sunday, we do 2 meals, lunch and dinner, then repeat. So we only work out once a week, and our workout is done in a fasted state. We thought it would be good cause we observed that animals in the wild do that, so we thought it would be natural, looks like we are on to something.

    • @BM-7888
      @BM-7888 Месяц назад +1

      That sounds very interesting. Were you already carnivore before you started this exercise and omad routine? If so how long and what have you noticed after starting this exercise and fasting routine?
      Your last sentence is convincing!😊

    • @YetAnotherCarnivore
      @YetAnotherCarnivore Месяц назад +1

      @BM-7888 Yes, we were already carnivore since 2018. We have been doing this workout and omad routine for 3 months. Both me and wife has gotten leaner and our strength gains have been awesome. We've been strength training since 2018 when we first started the carnivore diet, so with the new strength increases is pretty convincing for adding extra recovery days and training one set to failure.

    My doctor taught me about Leptin back in 2005. I really enjoy Anthony P. teaching the importance of all of these hormones. My doctor’s first question as he walked in the door was “ are you getting to sleep on time”? Anthony combines extreme intelligence with such spiritual presence 💪🏻❤️💪🏻❤️ My doctor is also very soft-spoken like Anthony Chaffee and the first thing he ever said to me was “slow and steady wins the race”. He is still my doctor today.

    100%!!!! After going carnivore I ate much more and ate twice a day religiously. Now after 3 months sometimes I don’t need to eat… Amazing! I started listening to my body and stopped feeling weird going without meal until I actually feel hungry 👍 And yes! Exercising on empty stomach is always the best.

      I had a crazy Friday and wound up not being able to eat until around 6PM. I like eating breakfast but I thought "It's so nice that when Hell arises and I don't have the opportunity to eat, that I'm able to hang in there and be ok." Hunger on a mostly plant diet is much more frequent and intense

    I would appreciate the information on the hormone ‘flow’ in metabolism….this video was excellent, it really helps me cope with the carb craving…I’m 75,female, thought I ate well, retired RN, and I’m counting on growth hormone, to repair motorcycle trauma, cataracts, and maintain mental acuity. Recently I tried a fast, but by day three I had headache and nausea so I had a bison and cranberry jerky stick… I’m now focusing on ….eating till I can put the rest away for later, keeping cortisol down, and sleep. However, I’m dumping oxalates still, 1 1/2 years after starting carnivore, the itch wakes me numerous times thru the night. I sometimes wonder if it’s worth the effort - and that’s where journaling is important….during the fast my hip pain reduced a lot,50%. and no acid reflux -( I let ‘them’ take my gall bladder- if I only knew then….)….thank you 🙏🇨🇦

      ' I sometimes wonder if it’s worth the effort' Of course it is! What's the alternative? Just get sicker and sicker until you die. You can choose to get better and better and finish strong! Best wishes to you :)

      Did you try taking salt during your fast? I find that on day 3, I tend to get woozy and weak, but if I take some salt under my tongue and let it sit there, that pretty quickly makes me feel better.
      Also, if you try that and you're still struggling, have you looked into fat fasting? You can eat a bit of pure animal fat (it's ok if very small amounts of meat are stuck to the fat), keep it under 1,000 calories. This way you'll get the energy you need but you will still get the benefits of autophagy because you won't be ingesting any protein.

      Yes I do a fat fast once a month. Really easy to do. I get free lamb fat cutoffs from my butcher. (In Australia they trim fat a lot) I prefer lamb fat to beef personally and just section and freeze in ziplock bags. I just air fry strips and eat as a snack. Yum.

    I just want to thank you for how appropriate and especially, how brief, the sponsorship part of the video is. So many other youtubers have given into weird combinations of way too long and completely unrelated products. A car show that promotes manscaping or nature show that promotes ordering internet fast food, for example? Yeah, no thanks. But anyway, I just wanted to say I appreciate you choosing something that fits and is not intrusive to your content. Thank you.

Im 60 and used to work out in my 20's to mid 30's. Life happened and i found myself 35 lbs overweight and lost quite a bit of my former strength. I discoved keto 2 years ago, and quickly moved on to carnivore and would love to fill out the skin that the 30lbs I lost vacated with my former muscle! I think I can now with what I learned today. I have a small farm and am poor, but can utilize my work I do to achieve my goal! Thank you!
