Why people mix Mermaids and Sirens - two totally different things and issues? This song is about Sirens and not about Mermaids.
Sirens were mostly depicted as beautiful but evil mermaids that sing in stories and movies and I didn't want to depict them as evil in the video. Just the blending of beauty and Tarya's sirenish voice. Thanks for the bringing that up!
True, the Sirens are the shrilling banshees of Homer’s Odyssey.
Mermaids, Sirens and Selkie are often muddled in modern retellings to the point where it would actually be quite hard to distinguish in a way that would make sense today.
