Great idea for an episode! I really enjoyed seeing the birth of the Breezeway. I was surprised at how small the space appears when it was a breezeway, as opposed to when it is the Breezeway.
I watched the whole thing on RUclips the other day, and it was really cool to see the origins of the Breezeway! Also cool to watch again with your commentary!
I really enjoyed watching this ☺️ It’s always fun to see where an idea began, and where it ends up 🙌🏻 How amazing to just have something like this in your house to 🤭
I remember watching some of that years ago and found another video of you getting your Witco bar from Palmdale or something like that. That’s how I found this show! Viewing and loving this show sine episode #1. You’ve come along way! 🙌🏼😎
Love it, man! Just goes to show you how running into the right people and making things happen like the Breezeway can make the world a better place 😉 I was at the Inferno Room here in Indy earlier tonight, and realized you started your show. I wanted to watch, but too loud, and hanging with friends. Watched as soon as I got home though!
Loved it , amazes me what comes from something you just enjoyed doing anyway. Also funny thing I realized you could not fit all us subscribers in there , but we are in there every Friday anyway lol.
Loved seeing the birth of the Breezeway. Everyone who has a home Tiki bar knows it’s never finished but evolves and you keep collecting and building. Got some ideas for my little back yard tiki from this!! 😉
So cool! I wish I had video of my original home tiki bar build. Like yours, it has evolved almost beyond recognition. And yes, I'm never done either. Always adding and changing. Loved seeing this Matt!
Great video! It was fun to see where the Breezeway began and how far it’s come and also to have a reminder of what television looked like twelve years ago! Also my wife and I just joined the Breezeway on Patreon 😁.
Thanks for sharing! I feel you tend to like things that are very aesthetic, but sometimes it's good to look at messy versions of things. It's a great story!
This is really helpful for those of us in the process of building our own home tiki bars, so we don't have to re-invent the wheel. I should have embraced a staple gun far earlier in my build process, especially for mounting lauhala matting (and fishing nets, nail guns for bamboo, etc.). Also, remembering that while tiki masks are a lot of fun to collect, they can get expensive quick; much appreciated advice about layering and depth to really make the bar feel fun, both in this video and the later one about the Hale Manu home bar in Nashville (ruclips.net/video/qtNVKGmiDCw/видео.html). Maybe someday soon I'll get bold and try to make my own moulding; great video!
Very cool to see the start of it all! It’s amazing how much it has changed over the years. This is very inspiring to all of us who want to build a home bar. It shows us all that it doesn’t have to exactly what you want right from the start. It can and probably will evolve over time.
Man I really enjoyed that. It’s super fun because many of us can be intimidated looking at years and years and years of detail layering. Seeing the humble beginnings of such a richly adorned space is encouraging to all of us. Cheers to you.
"Surfing every day" - Good ,life! Thanks for that :"If you're building a Tiki bar" tip. That's what I was searching for! I'm thinking about putting a couple of 16 outlet power strips up there. Maybe your idea of 4 outlet boxes spread around is better?
Question… Most of these tiki spaces seem to be a decent space making it easier to give the illusion things are more cavernous. I’m wondering about putting together a tiny tiki space (like tiny homes). I have the perfect fantastic space made for it, but it’s not generous on space. Would love comments or maybe an epsiode on that? Aloha!

Great episode Spike. Interesting to see how things progressed with your Bar and your own handywork. Shame things went south with your ex girlfriend, very cute. Hard to meet people who have similar interests. I have been building my own Garden Tiki Bar last Summer and continuing it again as the weather improves. Will forward images via Instagram in due course.
And this is where it all started..... Great video and an inspiration for those tiki-philes who want to at least get a start on what could be a never-ending project. As my wife always says, 'things could always stand some improving'! :)
Fun watching this again! I never hung my nuts during the original build. Maybe my Son (Blake) and I will stop by to do so one of these days!! It’s the signature of a true Bamboo Ben & (now) SON build! 🍹🍹🗿🗿🤙🤙🌴🌴
I'm planning on making a room in my house a tiki lounge, would you recommend covering up all of the windows? or most of the windows? or does it not matter?
I think you look better with your beard. Also, I'm sorry that the relationship didn't work out, cause you do sound like you haven't fully gotten over it yet.
And we all thought you build that bar yourself. Having watched the first 10 Minutes, I don't see what you're talking about. You don't come across as awkward. [Edit] Ah ok, the end result was way off what it looks like now. Looks a lot better now.

I know I'm not the only one who could watch an entire build a tiki bar series! This was awesome
This is one of the only videos I’ve found that shows HOW you turn a space into a tiki space.
I would’ve invited the neighbors to the reveal party so they can see and enjoy the thing they were forced to listen being built 😅

I love that we were able to see the lost footage with comments. That was fun. I still love the diamonds though. Glad they are still around
Really fun to view the birth of the Breezeway ❤ Thanks for taking us back!
Awesome to see the beginnings of a killer bar. Lets see some more on that collection of cars you have.
The weirdest thing about this whole show was seeing Spike in a baseball cap instead of one of his signature, WAY more stylish hats! 🤔🤷♂😜
I really enjoyed watching this ☺️ It’s always fun to see where an idea began, and where it ends up 🙌🏻 How amazing to just have something like this in your house to 🤭
Thanks so much! 😊

I’m in the process of having a tuff shed installed and turning it into a bar…!
You inspired me to make my own version of a tiki bar in Illinois.
Great!

Reaction vids are great. You should do some reactions of some of your earlier videos.
Loved seeing the birth of the Breezeway. Everyone who has a home Tiki bar knows it’s never finished but evolves and you keep collecting and building. Got some ideas for my little back yard tiki from this!! 😉

I enjoyed watching it, and I think it was very moving also. It can be hard to be reminded of things that might have been.
Awesome to see where it all started!

Another great episode! And so cool to see the Breezeway from it's origins, to now. 👍👍👍

Amazing fun look back video, it was great to watch it with you here , interesting to see how much change and not so much changes over the years.

Bamboo Ben did a good job, but I like your version much better.
Ben did all of the groundwork. spike just added onto it
From Simple Beginnings. Dina Owns The Show Here. Aloha

Great video. Watched all the way through. I like home makeover shows. My cousin had a bedroom makeover on a HGTV show.
Spike's Breezeway Therapy Hour
That was rad! Thanks for sharing!
Awe man, should've been on tv Matt! This looks way cool. The birth of the Breezeway!
And this is where it all started..... Great video and an inspiration for those tiki-philes who want to at least get a start on what could be a never-ending project. As my wife always says, 'things could always stand some improving'! :)
Loved this video! I enjoyed watching the origin story. How it all got started
Great Episode. I found that video a year or so ago! Couldn't believe a hanging lamp from oceanic arts for $185!
Fun watching this again! I never hung my nuts during the original build. Maybe my Son (Blake) and I will stop by to do so one of these days!! It’s the signature of a true Bamboo Ben & (now) SON build! 🍹🍹🗿🗿🤙🤙🌴🌴
Dude, this is like watching Noah build his Ark. Way to awesome
Thanks Spike, enjoyed that! Nick from York
Great to see the genesis of the Breezeway! Thanks for another great video Spike!
That was a fun show! So cool to see the evolution of the Breezeway. ❤
This was a great video. I enjoyed this very much. 🙌
Dude that was rad, thanks for watching with us.
The design on the fabric of the lamps, does it have a name?
You named drop me, Man! I can't believe how many years have past since then, good times Matt!
Fun times Spike! Bamboo Ben is for sure one of your mentors.
I'm planning on making a room in my house a tiki lounge, would you recommend covering up all of the windows? or most of the windows? or does it not matter?
This video was infectious to watch! Very fun to watch it all come to life.
Splitting bamboo with a table saw is pretty next level. Just gotta say.
Lmao, you were such a kid!!! Lol, I didn't know your name was Matt.
Wow! has the Breezeway come a long way!
Loved watching it all happen Spike!
If i end up with a bar for my patio, you inspired it
Didn't know Spike used to be Adam Sandler
I think you look better with your beard. Also, I'm sorry that the relationship didn't work out, cause you do sound like you haven't fully gotten over it yet.
Oh, I'm over it. Just reflecting on life...
Great show!

Man, I’m inspired to start building my Tiki bar.
Lost love is bitter sweet but hey you got an awesome bar!
You’d be surprised how having a bar will get attention when selling…
I’d say a tiki bar quadruples a run of the mill bar
Great show! Really enjoyed that!
You kinda look like Adam Sandler in this 😆
Okole Maluna Astro🍹
Bamboo Ben looks like Eddie Munster...
Solid foundation to start on. You should auction the diamonds with the Boskos!
show us your head, spike
Volunteering in case anyone wants to build me something and put me on TV
Damn bro, that flavor saver 😅
It would be cool to be your neighbor!
You look so different now.
This is so sick
She does’t seem the type to like corks.
Rad!!!
Where's your current GF at?
Where's Ben and Dina now?
Pin ups girls are meh.
Where are all the hot guys at?!
