Matt "Studs Terkel" Marble back with more oral history of the tiki revival. What I love about your show is that you didn't just talk about getting the mug made, but you spent most of the time talking with Holden about his tiki experiences.
That's what I miss about the show. The conversations. Can you please do one on Tiki Central. Maybe an interview with the person who started Tiki Central. I think there should be a documentary of that whole class that brought Tiki back!!! I feel it's important to document those stories.
I do think all of that is important as well. I think the show keeps evolving as I try to figure out what 'works.' In the back of my mind I've conceptualized a long-form unedited video podcast. We'll see...
Amazing video. I agree with the other comments. I LOVE the conversations in your videos. So much history (spoken and unspoken). Ordered my mugs stat!! Can’t wait to get them! Thanks Spike
A Breezeway moai mug! Oh, I’m all over that idea. What’s the Tiki version of a “nerdgasm”? I’m having that now. 😅 I hope you go ahead with that, Spike and Tiki Farm. I would buy one or two.
Spike, are there any plans to release another run of mugs at any point? I love these mugs but I discovered your channel after they released and were already sold out. :(
I have to know if there is a planted “heckler” or gag commenter on these videos. On the last live video a guy inexplicably and ridiculously called Spike a “spoiled brat” and in this one he was accused of “glad-handing” the guest while simultaneously exploiting “Sonoran child labor” 🤣🤣WTHeck! 😆 if not, someone might be angry that he didn’t get your mug order 🤔
I was drawn to Holdens shirt. Not sure why but every time he was on camera I was checking out the shirt 😄.
this one felt very Mr. rogers neighborhood. love it.
lol
I was going to say that too. Like the episodes where Mr. Rogers goes on a "field trip" or to watch a tape like the crayon factory.
If the mid-century era was the Golden Era of tiki bars/restaurants then we are surely in the Golden Age of tiki mugs!
For sure. There are a TON of mugs being made right now.
Wow! You could spend all day just looking through all the Tiki farm mugs! Great insight into the tiki mug world. 👍
Great conversation and a very cool mug!
That’s such a cool honor! Congratulations Spike!
Thank you!

Great episode, one of my recent favorites

Order placed! Love the mug and more importantly all of the history behind the Tiki mystique!
Thank you for your order!
Can't wait to get my Brown Moai Mug. 🗿
Holdens passion is so evident. Really awesome episode!
Man do I love tiki! And growing up a Knotts kid in Seal Beach in the 80s, brings back memories... Tim aka BrooklynTiki
Very cool! Didn't know he was down in my neck of the woods.
Spike, this was a wonderful spectacular episode! I absolutely loved every minute of it! Bravo good sir!
Thanks so much, Chris.
Great Episode! Looking forward to another "original glass the cocktail was served in" :)
Coming soon!
Dude!!! This is what I'm talking about!!! The origin stories
Wow I really enjoyed this episode and format. Love the history and passion for the craft.
Thank you!
Great episode, Spike. It was nice to learn more about Tiki Farm.
Thanks, bud.
I just realized I have the same wooden moai in my collection. I need to put it with my new breezeway mug when it comes in. Great show tonight Spike.
Ah, cool!

Thanks Spike
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the orders!
Really interesting episode! Lots of fun facts on Tiki movement, the evolution of tiki mugs and business; great interview ❤
That was really cool to see. Thanks for sharing!!!
GWAR!!!
We had a "cheapo," fire-decal bamboo mug created for our home bar from Tiki Farm. Holden couldn't have been nicer and easier to work with.
Loved the video! Also finally got everything together to make my first breezeway. Quite delicious!
Ah, cool!

We should have new mugs toward the end of this year/ beginning of next year. :)
great content
1:16 daaaaaaaaaaaamn
will you be releasing more mugs?
Yes, probably toward the beginning of the next year. They are in development now.
I was not expecting to hear mention of Stratasys on my weekly Breezeway
Lol
Rad!
What kind of client would want to have an NDA for tiki mugs??
Yeah, that is an interesting thought...
yah what does, "really big" (client) mean? Disney? or one rich celeb?

Yeah dude, that was super weird. Just kind of unexplainable.
