I don't know what's more incredible, building such a place or finding a wife to go along with it. If I were to visit I probably couldn't stop thinking about the creepy-crawlies and their thriving empires in the framework, but I still can admire the incredible accomplishment. So much creativity, skill, and love went into this, beyond amazing!
As a person who loved Omni Hut, met Polly, and was heartbroken to see it close, this was truly an extraordinary experience. I am so impressed with what your friends the Birds have created. The level of inventiveness, attention to detail, and resourcefulness was astounding. Thank you for spending the time to discuss every nook and cranny!!
To think that they built this in their basement! What an extraordinary accomplishment. The Bird’s should do guides on wood carving and DIY projects. I love the karaoke box - so clever!
Definitely a great home tiki bar. Setting the bar high.... 🙂🤙🏼🗿 Definitely get a sense of the detail with the walk-through video. Thanks for the tour Spike. Great job on a stellar home bar Justin and Mo!
Awesome video - really great tour and loved how you shared all the behind the scenes tips and secrets for all of us aspiring home tiki bar builders. Please keep doing more of these home bar tours!
The best home tiki bar we have been too! They were so kind! Best tiki bar in TN for sure!! Good to see the rum closet door latch was fixed after I broke it by accident 😂
Woooooww! That's one of the most amazing home tiki bars I've ever seen! I would absolutely love to get the chance to hang out there! I hope one day to have the space to be able to build my own, although I know it would never come close to that! Haha
Well, since I don't want to burn in fire ( 🙂 ), gotta say that was a great show! We'd seen their bar before long ago in Spike Landia, but it wasn't like this! I think that's the best home tiki bar I've seen on your show, and you've had some AWESOME home tiki bars! Great tour of a great creation. Kudos to all involved!
I loved seeing a more in depth tour of the Hale Manu! So much inspiration to draw from. Great episode Spike. Now, I know it's not possible to get a Hale Manu mug....but what are the chances of getting a menu?? Justin? Mo? 😊
A+ The love and time and effort that goes into this is mind boggling. Also inspirational. Keep it up y'all! And thanks for bringing it Mr. Breezeway Cocktail Hour! (Tho I think it wouldn't have hurt to finished with a drink, I can remedy that on my own. My missing secret rum closet, gonna be a little harder to fix) 😋🤙🏻
Slowing working on mine. Have some old black velvet painting from Hawaii painted in the 70s of playmates. My grandpa had a full tiki bar with excellent lamps and pics painting bamboo and tikis which all got trashed when family renovated :(
This was a great episode, fantastic couple and bar. They are so creative and I will be stealing so many of their ideas. It is so hard to find authentic vintage items to fill my bar, but so much of what they have built are just perfect to create the tiki vibe from items with items which are readily available with a splash of MCM and vintage collectibles. Love it all!
this was THE video that got me into Tiki, I'd just got a place and I knew I wanted to make a home bar, saw the Hale Manu then the Breezeway and was like "THAT is what I'm fucking doing" so thanks Justin and Mo and Spike for getting me into Tiki.
Very nice work ❤ started on the outhouse but i only made the bar since the space is needed for wedding. Got some great ideas from your video so thx and enjoy that magical place😊
Sorry to be a nudge but gotta ask as many of us have humid damp basements and wondering if the many basement tiki conversion ppl did anything to mitigate the particular basement problems with climate control? Any concerns with mold? Humidity? Flooding? Thx!
I think their basement also has a garage attached to it, so there is some ventilation. I don't know what that kind of basement is called. It's more like their first floor but you enter the house on the second floor. lol... idk...
Yep, ours is a walk-out basement (built into a slope). We have never had any issues with moisture - the garage (the other half of our basement) is unfinished and still has the exposed cinder block walls, so I can keep an eye on any issues if they arise. So far, so good.
Wow!!! I just saw a vid about how TN is a Republican dump and yet here is this extremely delightful couple and their wonderful digs! The bar is Imagineer level! Must be great enjoying it.

Mo and Justin are two of the best people we are privileged to know. And we have your show to thank for making the connection. Thanks Spike!!
Ah, cool!

Amazing! Really dig all the details. Definitely one of the coolest home bars I've ever seen. Great work!

Amazing bar! I wish we had more basements in California.
Me too. I'd kill for a basement!
Fantastic basement/ tikibar, fantastic couple. I would visit them anytime I was around the area.

Love how it was crafted and all flows together.

This is one of my favorites...absolutely excellent job, i'd love to hang out there.
Thank you very much!
This is a fantastic bar and such a great expression of your creativity! Thanks for sharing
I've always wanted a Polynesian-themed gaming room since I was a kid & played in the basements of my mom's friends who had a couple tiki bars.
Great job!! I've got family near Nashville!
Beautiful bar and so many details!
Very nice work ❤ started on the outhouse but i only made the bar since the space is needed for wedding. Got some great ideas from your video so thx and enjoy that magical place😊

Michael Ulenkot? From Monitor?
I don't understand how they haven't opened an actual Tiki Bar. haha
Running a business is sooo much different than running a home bar. 😂
This is the most bad *ss and cool basement tiki bar.
I'm in love
Nice! But no fish net?

How are peoples houses so neat and orderly.....!
Smashed that like button but I'm still keeping away from naked flames!
Does he sell paintings?

what happened between 3:50 and 3:56? 👺
Very nice TIKI bar. Some of us have had one in our basement for over fifteen years. Always fun for parties.
Sorry, I turned the video off after viewing the yard sign at the intro....really?
It's worth watching the whole thing, I promise
I've always hated basements, but this is fabulous! ❤❤
