    Note that all the time Jane was manipulating the whole scene to get himself fired, so he could start his infiltration plan in RJ inner circle. Cruel, but awesome.

      Best part of the show is that we the viewer know that everything Jane says and does is for a reason. He turns people into marionettes and they dance to his whim. If he gets fired, it's because he wanted to be fired. If he's wrong, it's because he wanted to be wrong.
      I miss this show.

      @@ryanross6973 it's an old comment but mehhh I'll still reply - i actually didn't like that part all that much because it was weird to me that as a viewer you know he's up to something whatever he does or says, he's pretty much never out of control and very rarely wrong. But most of the CBI agents never figured it out, even though they hired him for his brain. Times and times again they doubted him, they were fooled by him, by his actions, they were surprised that he had a plan and knew what he was doing. I mean, come on, how long should it take for them to figure out that the guy is ahead of everyone else. It was weird to me that Cho was pretty much the only one that didn't underestimate Jane.

    he knew what he did wasnt enough to get himself fired, only suspended. so he had to go all out.
    he knew wainright didnt care about the rules per se, but about how it made the department(and wainright) look like. so he knew which angle to work to drive it home.
    and you can see in his expression, that he is making these split-second analyses and decisions, before commiting. then you see everything play out just as planned.

    I've noticed A LOT of comments about Jane goading Wainright the way he did as part of implementing his deliberate plan to get fired, in going after Red John. Which is true. But what I haven't seen mentioned is that part of that plan ALSO required him to distance his team from himself. So he didn't just get fired but he did it in such a way - like a complete narcissistic asshole that even they were taken aback by his behavior. Only Lisbon talked to him after the outburst, because of their relationship, and also because of their relationship, Jane let her down easy while still cutting her off.
    I was sad watching this episode at the time, though later I understood why he was doing it. When it came to getting his revenge on Red John, he was single-minded on his goal.

    Wainwright didn't belong in this world. He would have been better suited to academia of criminal justice etc. He was a little naive but at the same time had a bit of chip on his shoulder. Jane read him well to see just which insults he would react most to. He was promoted at a young age and many who have been in that position know that the thing that rankles most is being accused of being too big for your boots, being disrespected because your age makes people disregard your abilities. Jane knew Wainwright would lose his temper most at the inference that he was incompetent.

    I h4ted Wainwright a lot here for not understanding and accepting that what Jane did worked and was the only possible solution to that criminal. Jane was right and Grace supported him (I was very proud, thanks Grace for representing me haha) and the boys also agreed although they did not want to get involved with the opinion (and Jane understood them). It bothered me even more to see his reaction later, because he showed that he was being hypocritical in his reprimand and turned out to be immature like Jane read it. But I could not hate him as such, since he was not a bad person, just inexperienced. when 6 months passed, Wainwright was worried about Jane and his mental stability and he lets him know Lisbon (as he was in the beginning, when Jane burned the files). That and see how sad Lisbon was willing to help him... always defending him, understanding him.. "You are sweet" 💔😍🥺😞 Those words were everything. I noticed all these things first and recently saw that it was part of his plan to be fired haha (I can be slow with certain details sometimes)

    • @sfqm1083
      @sfqm1083 5 лет назад +6

      Yes, you are right that the confession cannot stand and that Jane could be in for a lot of lawsuits. However you must remember that Marx is a highly intelligent person, such that Jane knew the only way to get to him was via a forced confession. A smart murderer like that would know that filing lawsuits only brings in more legal attention to him, and they already have evidence of Marx siphoning millions. It is almost inevitable that Marx gets sentenced for stealing from his company, torturing a guy, 1st degree murder, illegal methods of concealment, and other obstructions of justice. Jane just had to get the ball rolling, and smart people like Lisbon knew that

    Are you sure he is a millionare? He felt so guilty after his family got killed. I always figured he did away of all of his possesions. The only thing he kept is an empty house. He also always wears the same clothes. He also never gets anything new. Also although he mentioned the car collection in that prison scene I always figured that was a bluff as well, since he always drives the same car. But ofcourse still money wouldnt be a problem for him.

    • @krbkrbkrbkrbkrb
      @krbkrbkrbkrbkrb 4 года назад +1

      You seem to be confused about the difference between "having money" and "spending money." Just because he's not spending any doesn't mean he doesn't have any.
      Jane did not do away with any possessions. He simply stopped caring about possessions. He is 100% devoted to catching RJ. Having possessions will not help him catch RJ but putting any effort into doing away with his possessions won't do anything to help either and the time and effort to get rid of them would just be a distraction from hunting RJ.
