Awesome to here, I personally like them too, so easy to use and the footprint makes it fit anywhere.

Think I'll upgrade this year, from the specialita, mainly for the speed 😎

How does the XL compare to the Magnifico?

As always, great review, but please remove the unnecessary musak. It is such a distraction to your message.

      Thank you for the feedback.
We have since lowered the music, hard to remove as studio is in an industrial estate so always noises around like forklifts and trucks... But have now sound treated room, and got better microphones etc so new videos should be better :)
      Thank you again.

@Coffee Parts Recently discovered your channel. Love your content! Great informative videos! After spending months and months inside the flat burr grinder rabbit hole, I too have decided on the Oro XL vs. the new DF64E (or P) with SSP HU burrs. One big question to you : Eureka's 65mm Red Speed Burrs vs SSPs 64mm High Uniformity burrs. How do they compare in the cup? Mouthfeel, flavour profiles..etc.. Have you had a chance to do a comparison between DF64 with SSP HU vs Oro XL with Red Speed? I've been researching high and low and have not been able to find decent information. The flavor produced by SSP HU burrs is what I'm after. I know it's not just the coating that brings in the improvements with the SSP burrs; it's the geometry, the teeth configuration. But looking at the pictures, Eureka's Red Speed burrs seem to be VERY VERY similar. The flavor difference between stock Eureka XL steel vs Red Speed Eureka XL may be hard to discern, but the 1650 rpms concern me... too high. If I pull the trigger on the Oro XL, I will want to get it with the Red Speed burrs. Hopefully you may have some insights. Thank you!!

Is the cost of the xl worth it over the specialita? Is their diminished returns, is the quality of the grind and build worth the extra cost?

Awesome choice, I'm a big fan of the XL!
The XL is one of the best machines for its price/category :)

Does the XL work well with a dosing cup or is it better suited for a portafilter?

Hi. Thanks for the great reviews covering all aspects.
I have a malkhonig vario that I find can be a little inconsistent. I am looking at the XL as an upgrade to try and tune my espresso and keep it more consistent.
Judging by the look of the grounds it seems to deliver quite the consistent dose I am seeking. Thoughts?

I'm a big fan of the XL for its price and size.
Consistent grinds, dose is mostly consistent, you will always have a small variance as its grind by time.

No it wont - I would stick with your Specialita, its still one of my favourite grinders

Awesome vid! I have the XL at the moment and although I am happy with it, I sometimes feel like I should pair a better grinder with my Linea mini. Do you reckon the Eureka Atom 75 would do a better job at mid-dark roast coffee than the XL? Cheers!

    • @dr.angerous

@@dr.angerous you reckon? I've heard that Atom 75 uses burrs from Mythos One and was wondering if those burrs would provide a better clarity in the cup.

Hey Pedro - saw this from the Eureka Web site - does it apply to the XL65?
"Electronic adjustment of burrs positioning (patented)
Have you been trying to achieve the exact distance among burrs? Now you can!
Thanks to the Electronic Adjustment of burrs (patented by Eureka), the burrs distance is specified in micron on the touch screen. At any time, so, the barista knows precisely the distance in micron value and is able to adjust it as needed, by both touching the screen and rotating the knob. "

This might have been a good review, however I switched off due to the overly loud background or should I say foreground music which ruined whatever message you were trying to convey.
