  • I took my brand new 2022 RSV4 1100 to the dyno to get the baseline numbers before I modify it with the SC Project GP22, Gabros Velocity Stacks and Upmap with Sprint Air Filter.
    Unfortunately, a warranty claim arose during the dyno pulls. Stay tuned for an update.

    From what I've gathered reading and watching testimonials throughout the years, it seems that where they build those Aprilia bikes, everyday is a Friday. What a lottery it is with that brand! The inconsistency and surprise potential is insane.

      They’re coming up! I thought of changing the screws to black on my RS660. But on my RSV4 they may match the silver tank. I’ll use the silver screws first and then I may change them. ✌️

    Been following since the beginning of the 660 mods and you were a big decision on me using the UpMap for the full SC project so I thank you for that but I was curious since you actually have a dyno available near you wouldn’t the better option just to have them do a full ECU flash/ dyno tune over the Up Map option ?

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  Год назад +3

      Ideally a custom tune on the dyno will always outperform a “canned” tune. It’s not the Upmap Im vouching for, its Gabros maps. If Gabro was not offering maps in the Upmap I wouldn’t have chosen the Upmap. Its Gabros maps that I prefer. And of course the ease of use of being able to switch maps anytime I need, with a push of a button on my phones app. Its also a matter of cost. Gabros velocity stacks, air filter and Upmap cost me exactly what I would have paid for a custom tune on the dyno. Which means if I had chosen to go with a custom tune, I would have also paid for the stacks and air filter above the cost of the dyno tune. And I would basically be locked to that tune. Whereas with the Upmap I can revert to stock map or any other map anytime I want with zero cost. Another benefit of the Upmap is that if you do chose to dyno the bike, you can send the graph to Gabro and he can adjust the map to your bike with a small fee. Now don’t get me wrong. By definition, the proper way to tune your bike is on the dyno with a custom map. There is no doubt about that. But the difference in performance from the custom duno tune to Gabros map is so negligible that the extra cost might not be worth it if you are not racing. With that said, maybe one day I will do a custom dyno tune and compare the two. ✌️

      @ALFAVITAGA i can assure u its not :) dynojet numbers is costumers joy to make costumer sattisfied. Real world numbers is diferent and tested multiply times. Same bikes diferent dyno
      Where dynojet show fake wheel on other dynos more accute show same numbers to the crank.

      @motochiptuning I’m not an expert on dynos, but what I do know is that numbers don’t really mean much. It’s the baseline number as reference to the tuned number that matters, just to monitor the increase in power.

    Hey yo, have the same bike. Also did an gabro up map but no stacks, just an dna airfilter. Arrow Exhaust, no kat and db killer, result is amazing. Waitin for your dyno numbers. Personal, i think the short sc's are too loud and it looks on the bike a little bit lost, also belive that these short mufflers will steal power from the engine without an map, because of the small volumen. With the upmap i think the dyno numbers are around 195 at the wheel👍

    Got all that carbon cover crap to make make people think its light, yet youre just making it heavier...plus useless bars and triple clamp that are heavier than factory and just money pits lol

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  8 месяцев назад +5

      The purpose of the carbon covers is not to make people think it’s light. It is to protect the frame from damage in the event of a crash. A small scratch on the frame, in the eyes of the insurance, can translate to a total loss of the bike. A total loss of a bike is covered based on the market value of the bike. In other words, an underpaid coverage. The reason for choosing carbon over plastic covers is because carbon is more resilient to damage. A plus is also that it makes the bike look even better. Not to mention that the weight added from the carbon covers is measured in ounces. All four carbon pieces can be held using your pinky finger. Therefore it’s considered a negligible weight addition. The useless bars offer an extended reach on the handle bars that make counter steering easier in the turns. Plus in the event of a crash the aftermarket clip ons have better replacement availability compared to stock. They are also easier and faster to replace. Not to mention that they have better compatibility with brake lever guards that are required on certain tracks. The triple may or may not be heavier but the point of replacing the triple is not reducing weight. Being billet aluminum and not cast aluminum makes it stronger while being more resilient to metal fluctuation. That helps in handling during extreme braking forces in turns. And it also look better than stock. Now regarding all this being a money pit..well.. it’s a good thing I have a lot of money to waste ✌️
