Did he say helmets are expensive? Helmets are the cheapest lifesaver you will ever come across. One mistake on the rocky parts or in the woods and you will get seriously injured.
Not to mention you can find cheap helmets if need be. But yeah seriously why aren’t they wearing them? Didn’t benton get a concussion just like a week ago even with one on?

Doesn't really do much after a certain speed. Hitting a tree going fast will still cause your brain to smash into the side of your skull. Might prevent lacerations or a cracked skull but that's about it.
I don't think that lens is my favorite. It distorts the mountain so much I can't tell what terrain you are really on. Also, wow.

I had equal numbers of friends switch from skiing to snowboarding as from snowboard to ski (I personally want to get some groomer skis just for ice days, also as something different to get into)

Was curious if you've ever rode at Whistler/blackcomb? Its alpine but has some amazing backcountry and sick alpine chutes. Place scared the hell out of me, I loved it! Really challenged my riding 👍.
Also wanted to know if you ever rode at Jay Peak in Northern Vermont? Its a northeast gem! If you have you might know, but if you haven't, I highly suggest a few day visit. Awesome mtn riding and some of the best eastern backcountry I've ever ridin!

What kind of avalanche precautions are in place for stuff like this? Would like to do it someday.
There’s no precautions besides not skiing/snowboarding avalanche prone terrain. Any mountain for the general public however is fine as those are geared towards regular individuals. Heli skiing/snowboarding is where this would be an actual concern/something to think about.
Usually on guided remote trips like this, they have you wear things like an inflatable backpack, rescue beacon and carry a small shovel
