- Join us on a road trip to Gunung Kidul in Yogyakarta Indonesia. Gunung Kidul is a fascinating area with beautiful nature and amazingly friendly locals. We start our day off with a ride to Wonosari for breakfast at a local warung. Then we make our way to the beaches of Gunung Kidul.

fun fact: 1. The plate is made of rattan 2. It's not chili sauce for Naomi but for Luke 3. The slightly darker chili sauce is chili paste, made from a mixture of shrimp paste and chilies etc 4. The mild chili sauce is garlic sambang 5. The green leaves are like basil, but basil is native to Indonesia, a.k.a kemangi leaves
If you are both at the south of Yogyakarta, please try continuing your nice journey along the south coast to Pacitan. This is really amazing for Naomi and Luke. The atmosphere is real feels very different. Please Naomi and Luke explore it. I, who comes from the city of Surabaya, really admire you both, cause both of you succeeded to explore at Java island compared to other foreigners.👃👍💪🤜

Anda bisa membeli 1 kali ticket masuk Pantai di Gunung Kidul, mulai dari Pantai Baron sampai pantai paling timur karena itu 1 area pantai, tetapi berangkatnya harus pagi supaya bisa explore semua pantai
Luke and Naomi, if you are still in Yogyakarta also try eating at Warung kopi Klothok or at Raminten...the food there is delicious but not expensive!

There are lots of beaches along the Gunungkidul coastline. Near Baron Beach there is Kukup Beach which is very beautiful. You can snorkel at Sadranan beach and Nglambor beach, canoeing at Drini and Sadranan beaches, culinary delights at Indrayanti beach (the beach with the most complete and well-organized facilities in Gunungkidul), and many more beaches with their own charms
Glad you made it to Gunung Kidul. I do hope Baron was not the only beach you visited as there are many more beaches with nice (if better is not the word) scenery.
😭😭 menit 1:11 sampai 5:51, adalah jalan2ku dulu menuju tempat kerja, memorable banget.
Basically, the ligh red sambal is made from fresh chilies, garlic and salt. But the darker one is made from chilies, shrimp paste, tomatoes, garlic, onion, salt and palm sugar, thats why the darker one is not spicy as the lighter one

Jogjakarta is a perfect place to live actually alot of foreigner choose to live in jogjakarta, 1 hour to go to mountain ( Merapi ) 1-2 hour to go to the sea., Not too crowded, cheap food and living cost

The sambal in 'ayam geprek' usually poured on top of the ayam. And believe me, in Indonesia the ayam geprek dish is always been spicy & very2 hot😅 It's supposed to be like that maybe 😊

I love the way you guys eat ayam geprek and bebek goreng, it's so spicy even for me as local but you almost almost can handle it .. amazing thumb up
you must come early going to Wonosari if you want to explore more beauties beach, Baron Beach is not my type of beach, but it's okay for your experience, after Jogja maybe you can visit Tawangmangu, going to Solo first with commuter line and then you can rent a motorcycle to Tawangmangu Karanganyar Regency

In gunungkidul theres a lot of beaches like sadranan, nglambor, wediombo, watunene etc and their beaches has beautiful clear baby blue color of beaches... to go there you just use the same way

Btw nasi bebek and ayam geprek sambal matah is one of my favorite..
And bout Kopi kapal api, that's coffe people's, very famous n very cheap and almost Indonesian people drink in anywhere, maybe for Bule just like Black water/not gut taste😅
If u like more coffe in jogja, u can visit Kopi Klotok jogja.. thats special place for coffe lover n more menu food.. gut n cozy place

There is more beautiful beaches in GunungKidul mate ..maybe next time you guys can explore more
The direction of the river water on the right side will change during the rainy season, the underground river flow will go straight south along the hillside on the right. behind the hill on the left or right, there is a small beach, on the left the sand is white and on the right the beach sand is black, unique. Just climb to the top of the hill and you will see an extraordinary view. I really like being on the hill to see the sunrise or sunset, apart from being able to see several beaches to the east, namely, Kukup, Drini, As long as they are still clearly visible❤❤
Next destination go to tebing breksi, not far away from yogya city and it is the best place to look for sunset

I suggest you go to Desa Purwosari and stay at Arum Dalu homestay.. About 1,5 hours from Yogya.

after gunung kidul you can visit KALIURANG, SALATIGA, MAGELANG, WONOSOBO..Its one area destination.,,many place is beautiful

Some of district in wonosari and wonogiri (central java) is still live in traditional, like in my hometown wonogiri. But its beautifull district and still natural.

Thanks for visiting Gunung Kidul Area, if you ever wanna come and visit this area again from Jogja, you should start bright and early (like 6 am in the morning). So that you can explore the area more, because there's a lot of beautiful beaches around the area, or you can spend a night in there.

Yogyakarta Special Region has more than 100 beaches spread across 3 regencies: Kulon Progo Regency, Bantul Regency and Gunungkidul Regency... The majority are not well known among tourists and road access to them is still difficult...
