- This is the making of the Battlefield 5 Soundtrack! EA invited me to Abbey Road Studios in London back in June 2018, a month after reveal, to witness many of the parts being recorded that would eventually become the Battlefield 5 soundtrack and some of what I recorded is absolutely astounding! :D

You are so lucky. Being there, you feel the music, it has a tangible effect. The weight of the music hits harder in person. Absolutely amazing and absolutely incredible opportunity! I am so very jealous. Having worked in music for a number of years knowing that amazing joy of musicians together... to hear that score in person, lucky man!

For me the soundtrack is one of the most important things in a videogame, may it be battlefield, a souls game, a doom game, a devil may cry or anything else
Yeah it definitely is. Im so glad dice finally put huge amount of effort to soundtracks in BF1 especially for endings of the rounds
For me as well. I got to love BF1's soundtrack so much, that sometimes i did not even play, just stayed in the menus, turned up the volume and just sat there letting in the music.
Im waiting batlefield music from eastern front & pacific front thats gonna be epic

Absolutely! The soundtracks in souls, destiny, nier automata and final fanatasy 7 to me really made the whole experience even more epic.
How annoying would it be if just 1 person slips their hand...

As a sound engineer and a gamer, i can only enjoy this kind of video. Abbey road is such a legendary recording studio. Keep up the good work man.
To have been sat in a room of such history, I felt extremely privileged! I wish EA would open their doors like this more often; give more people insight about how video games are made.

I know I’m late to the comments, however this soundtrack is amazing. This should be an “A-List” WW2 movie soundtrack. I’d love to see more of this soundtrack in the making. Thanks for sharing.

I cringe when people say "lack of content" with regards to BF games and use measures like "# of maps" or "# of guns".
There is so much more to it than that.
Yeah, on bf1 they added a lot of awesome new tracks with DLCs

One of the most amazing things coming back to this is how perfect it sounds through this camera. The perfect recording is one where it captures what you hear in that room
Imagine in your head the organ from the interstellar theme in the background it fits perfectly
yah the music has always been one of my favorite parts of battlefield. I really brings to life the environmental mood and the game would not be the same without it. I really liked all the BF1 tracks so much that I put it on my phone to listen to while working my construction job .

I don't think they put this much effort into 2042. And being modern isn't an excuse, you could absolutely have an emotional soundtrack produced with classical instruments for a modern game. Dice please!
Westie, I play music in college, and this kind of content is very interesting and highly appreciated. Thank you! I'm always thinking about what it's like to play these pieces, what it's it like to see/hear them live, and what kind of work it takes.
Absolutely beautiful! The music has always been one of my favorite parts of the Battlefield series.
It also doesn't hurt that I love string instruments. Great job capturing a magical moment.

Dude I love this game soo much.Cant find a word.I was 8-9 I played mohaa 500 ping and 10 fps.Mohaa is my childhood.And bf 1-5 is my teenage memories.I always remember.Thank you for this feelings and memories.

I came to this years-old video to see if anyone else caught the rampant musical theft in this soundtrack. My bf is playing through the game; I am a musicologist. So far I have heard "Jupiter" from Holst's "Planets" and the main theme from the soundtrack for The Day After Tomorrow. I am dying to get to the end credits to see if the composers of these sundry themes (including the one you found) are credited. I mean, stealing from Holst is one thing because he is long dead. But stealing from still-living composers is REALLY ballsy if they aren't credited...

Can't listen to battlefield 1 or 5 osts without tearing up, that's powerful music
Battlefield has what I think a lot of other FPS games lack, a defined musical style and theme. When you hear a Battlefield song you immediatly recognize it. Everyone knows and loves the classic Battlefield theme. The only other franchise that I can think of that has this is Halo, and it is sorely missed in other franchises.
I'm so bad at this game that all I can relate to when I hear this is : "Help! Somebody help me! Somebody...ahh!"
Listen to this and then go listen to the full album. Listen to how much work they put into the whole process and what the final product looks like. You got to hand it to them, they are doing so much in all areas of the game. I wish I could thank the sound team for this game...
wow ! BF1 soundtrack is the best , more like an epic movie score . I got all themes from BF1 downloaded from youtube onto my phone and I listen to it at work for quite some time on headphones . Thanks for recording this , these musicians are the most underrated part of the game no doubt . The composer is genius , lot of soul here
