The goal of the invasion was to secure the vital ports on the French Mediterranean coast and increase pressure on the German forces by opening another front. Battlefield V soundtrack is a masterpiece but this track especially is easily the best piece of track made a for a game. This brings me back to the game every time and would fit in any war movie perfectly.
Since BF2042 is bombing now, we can definitely say this is a real good Battlefield game. Still missing quite a lot, but still better than what’s going on now.
After patches, I think BF5 is up there as one of the best. I was never a fan of BF1 myself, though I absolutely see why it's a great game and why people like it, BF5 just really nailed it for me. Again, though, after it was patched up. My favourite to this day remains BF2142, but BF4 and 5 are respectively closely behind it for that position.
I think BFV aged well, it just needed more support. Then again, COVID and executive decisions killed the game. BFV brought a lot of innovations, especially movement and new melee as well as solid gunplay, which was thrown away in 2042. Oh, and how they handled skins is so genius compared to 2042, despite it not fitting WW2 at all.
bit late but here goes nothing. This theme is just spectacular. We were playing Provence, with us as the Germans and the opposing team as the US Army Forces. We were losing really bad, we expected the round to be over any minute. However, suddenly the end of round theme starting playing all of us felt this sudden surge in adrenaline. Almost all of us spawned around the last objective, and there were screams. i could, in my mind, just hear "Achtung!" echo throughout the entire landscape. We all attacked together. It felt as if we were actually in war, right then and there. We all pushed. The enemies started to reduce in number. A few soldiers and I, armed with Panzerfausts, took out the enemy tank. Some of launched suicide attacks with dynamite, but we never backed out. Respawned and pushed forward. Taking out all the Tanks, Snipers on the Bridge behind us taking out the enemy Bazooka teams. Our defensive positions were fortified and we rained hell on the enemies. The cries of the US forces filled the streets of that small Italian town. One by one, there number reduced. Despite this, they put up a hell of a fight as the timer went on. It was a battle against time. It was the fight till the last man. The climax during the end of round theme propelled us to move on. For the Fatherland! I kept screaming in my mind. I destroyed the last tank. The timer hit 0. The screen went White. Just before it did, it had shown our numbers as zero. My mind went blank. I looked and the screen displayed the golden words. "VICTORY". I finally took a sigh of relief. My back sunk back into my chair. The chat filled with GGs. I finally could comprehend a somewhat level of understanding of what those that fought went through. That game, described the true essence, of Battlefield.
Battlefield be like: "War is mans most unworthy creation, dooming our future and killing millions of innocent people" and then turn this up when you're pushing the objective

Fun fact: Both allied and axis where actually had been seen as heroes by their own sides. Germany was tired that they were in a huge debt and they were restricted to grow as an big country, by the treaty of Versailles. So it lead to Hitler becoming the third Reich and to prove that Germany had a place in the world by becoming a large army and invading other countries. And yes, I admit that they did several genocides and war crimes, but let's be honest with ourselves, what county doesn't make world crimes in moments of war? The Soviet union violated women, the US used flamethrowers, the Japanese tortured POW, the British treated the enemy inhumanly, etc. So basically the war crimes aren't much of importance because even the allies made war crimes during WWII. The reason why I say this is because I actually got to see the point of view from the German side of the story. They were humans as well, they had families and children who say Germany as a strong country and honorable country. The genocide was more because of Hitler's beliefs, even though he's a Jew himself. And I'll be honest with you all, it depends on the point of view. We are thought that Germany was bad during WWI and WWII, but at the same time in WWI they were forced to join because their alliance with the Austria-Hungary empire and in WWII they were mistreated and restricted to even grow as a country. And yes, they did a lot of destruction during those wars, but at the same time every war comes with destruction.
agree with you, just we can't say that Hitler is Jewish or not because nobody knows his father. So he can't prove that he is not Jewish ....
